Alpha 1.4.9 Patch - January 26th

Alpha 1.4.8 Patch

Hello everybody! A big update this time; I hope you all enjoy some of the new QOL features added through this build.
Let's go over the first one:

640x480


A resolution change! I've received a few complaints about the 544 x 416 native resolution, and now the game will naturally render in 640 x 480. However, the use of the F5 for windowed and F6 for full screen keys still will work on this build going forward. As such, many picture files and icons have been resized as well.

Cast Time Reduced


Magic and weapon skills have had their stats altered drastically. This is to reduce the lag that many of these skills produced on cast, which is now fixed in this patch. Spells and weapon arts now feel a lot better to play without a "cast wait" before the graphic would render.

Journal Text


Many of you have probably noticed the odd text wrapping in the quest journal entries; but not anymore! As of right now, half of all quest journal entries have had their entries rewritten and respaced in the quest log. Now they are much more readable and descriptive; and along with the new Notebook system, you should be able to find areas and people much easier. However, half of them still need to be reworked.

Alpha 1.4.7 Patch - January 5th

Edited some weapon and tile sprites! These will be standard for updates going forward for the foreseeable future. Thank you for playing, and enjoy the new models!

Alpha Patch 1.4.6 - December 10th

Some fixes to the new minimap have been made!

Map Update!

Happy December everyone! I'm excited to show off the new map in game, which is a major step-up from the previous minimap. It will still be accessed the same way as before, but now more detail has been added to facilitate navigation through Acadia's massive worldmap.

More notebook entries have been added as well. Stay tuned; I'm reaching ever closer to finishing this monster of a project!

General fixes:

  • Added several new notebook entries.
  • Removed weather effects inside of several dungeons.
  • Fixed several cave doors that were inaccessible once entered.
  • The "Delicate String" item can now be worn without teleporting the PC into the ocean.
  • Better tile meshing on swamp water and snow.

Alpha 1.4.3 Patch - November 6th

Happy November everyone! Here are the patch notes for the 1.4.3 Alpha build.
- Added some radiant quests for the end of the Eastwatch Mages and Briarhand Company faction lines.
- New icon for the game shortcut; featuring Loravine's sprite instead of the white flower.
- Fixed an issue with the backdash command clipping through walls.
- Added collision to a section of wall in Bergano Wood; the player can no longer clip into the ceiling layer.
- Touched up overworld and interior tiles. Feel free to give feedback in either Discord or in the discussions tab on the game page.
- Fixed an issue where the overworld BGM would not play if it was raining.

Alpha Patch 1.4.2 - Oct. 26th

- Adjusted the font to be more readable.
- Added an option in the menu to disable the stamina bar.
