Do you know the old saying – “don’t play with fire”? Well, sometimes that particular phrase is very actual and important!
When working in a bakery there are many opportunities to make a mistake – maybe you can simply forget about one of the key ingredients and the final effect of your baking is a little off? Maybe you mixed the ingredients for a time longer than intended? Sometimes you can simply trip when carrying a lot on a tray – all of that can happen. Those are however not the worst things that can meet you during your work…
Imagine – you are slowly approaching the oven, very mindful of your surrounding – not letting yourself slip for a single moment. You managed to open the oven and place the carefully crafted future bread roll in it. And then, as you start baking, a friend calls you. You start talking with him, remembering good old times. After a while you remember – you started baking your bread roll! You carefully open the oven and then… Oh God!
In this post we would love to share with you some new features of the game that our team is working hard on! This time it will be… a checklist!
What’s the best way to make sure that everything you have to remember is neatly organized and you will not forget a single step of the baking process? Make a checklist and then follow it to the point! Notice how our checklists differ from each other depending on what we are doing within the game.
On the left you can see how empty checklist looks like before we start doing anything. The right showcases the situation in which we properly grabbed the necessary amount of one of the ingredients.
Similary – on the left you can see different states of progression regarding the amount of ingredients highlighted by varying state of squares next to ingredients. On the right side not only we have taken all the necessary ingredients but we also completed the first step of our baking process.
The great thing about checklists is the fact that you always know on which step you are! Simply after doing a particular step – it should be crossed out to not forget that we have already done that part! Checklist is designed to always be there for you, it will be your best friend and it will make sure that you’re doing great – and you’re definitely going to do just that!
Best regards Bakery Simulator team
And a little quiz checking your attention to details – did you notice one little thing that magically changed on the checklists? Let us know if you spotted it ;)!
Each bakery must have a board on which you can pin the information about what to order or what to do. In Bakery Simulator, a board will also appear as one of the decor elements.
We are also thinking about making it an unlockable item, but you won't find out about it for some time.
Would you like to be able to use such a board as a place to write down important notes?
If you want to be real bakers and distribute your baked bread around the area with your own hands, you must remember about baking baskets. Without them, bread transport will be really difficult and ineffective.
Who of you will deliver bread on foot and who will use the car?
We present to you a new machine in our bakery for the production of things in large quantities.
If you have large orders, you will use it more than once to make as many baked goods as possible for customers in a short time. Supplementing with the ingredients of such a machine will also be much faster and easier than each ingredient separately.
Buying products for your bakery in the store is very important!
In the game, you will be able to order additional ingredients and products if you run out of them while making baking. Therefore, one of the important things in the game will be managing your products - you can always order the ingredients if some of them are missing or you’re slowly getting short of some specific ones. But remember! It will take some time for ordered ingredients to appear in the storage, so plan your shopping carefully - otherwise you might get stuck in the middle of the baking process.
Do you think the buying system should be made easier for you to focus on baking or more extensive?
