Merry Christmas from Bakery Simulator Team!

Hello Bakers!

Festivities are upon us and we would love to wish you all the best!

It’s Christmas! Finally! One of the “warmest” days in the year even among all of the white snow laying everywhere! It’s the day when everyone is smiling and happy, kids are playing in the snow while parents are bustling in the kitchen preparing the Christmas meal.

Even at our Bakery things are livelier than usually. We too can feel the Christmas spirit and we simply couldn’t contain ourselves - we needed to prepare some appropriate decorations and presents. And of course a lot of yummy treats!

We sincerely wish you all a great Christmas time - a lot of smiling faces around you, warmth and happiness, many great presents and the unforgettable memories that you can only make during this time.

Rocking around the Christmas tree,
let the Christmas spirit ring
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie
and we'll do some caroling~

Merry Christmas everyone!

Best regards,
Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #57 “Baking mini-games #2 - Croissant!”

Hello Bakers!

Continuing our mini-series about baking mini-games this time we’ll take a closer look on croissants! Who wouldn’t like to take a closer look at them, right? Maybe even more than that?

Let’s assume for a moment that we have correctly prepared ingredients and jumped into the mini-game itself. First of all we need to take care of excessive dough. We don’t need that much of it to prepare yummy croissants, so let’s cut some and get rid of it. Perhaps we will use it at a later time? Or - if you are preparing a batch order for a lot of croissants you might want to use that for that particular task. Anyway - cut, cut, cut!

Okay, we managed to get just enough dough - now we get to use the rolling pin and make sure that our dough is rolled just thin enough for us to use for croissants. Make sure to roll hard - we cannot let our dough be too thick or we will fail miserably!

When we finish rolling we need to cut the dough into little (or larger) triangles. They kind of look like pizza slices, don’t they? Anyway, let’s not get distracted by thinking of pizza when we’re creating croissants! Slicing them is important and needs to be done manually as we need to make sure that from each slice we’ll get a tasty treat - perhaps for ourselves or for our customers.

Finishing touches - we need to roll the slices into an appropriate shape. After all, croissants are easily recognizable thanks to their overall look and we cannot miss that fact. As soon as we are done with that we can start baking!

What do you think about the mini-games up until this point? Do you like them?

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #56 “Baking mini-games #1 - Baguette!”

Hello Bakers!

Last time we mentioned how you will be able to bake many different goodies in your bakery - this time let’s take a closer look at how you’re going to do that!

With dough prepared to business we need to make an important choice that will decide the future… or at the very least a future for our stomachs! Above you can see different options that we can use to prepare something good. Among those options we have tasty bagels, baguettes, long breads, pretzels, croissants, round breads and buns! All of them are absolutely magnificent and a treat not only for your tastebuds but also for your eyes.

Last time we mentioned that there will be a mini-game you will have to complete in order to prepare a particular type of bread you wish to make. In this case we are focused on baguettes - as you can see we will start by forming the shape of our dough so it looks appropriate. All actions you will do manually by your mouse or keyboard - make sure to not mess up!

Baguette is all about that great taste and easily recognizable shape so we make sure it looks like a decent one! In this case we’re not only shaping it by moving the mouse but also by clicking on appropriate parts of it and making the necessary cuts and improvements.

This time we focused on one specific type of bread but expect much more in the next devlog!

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #55 “Bake-a-lot!”

Hello Bakers!

In your bakery you will have a chance to bake many different goodies! Let’s take a short look at the possibilities!

It always starts with mixing appropriate ingredients as per the recipe but after that is done we’re left with already great looking dough. That is our playground - now we can do a lot of things with it - shape it to its true form and transform it into something absolutely tasty!

As you can see - you can choose anything you prefer. Maybe you’re interested in making croissants? Or perhaps pretzels? While you can do as you wish you need to remember about ingredients you've used before. Some of the choices you'd like to make in this step might not work as great with things you’re using up until now.

Then, as you already know, you will have to actually shape the dough to make it look good! It all happens in game through different mini-games that we have prepared for you. They’re different from each other and we will be happy to showcase them a little bit more in-depth in future devlogs!

Now we’re hungry… So let’s make ourselves a pretzel!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #54 “Upgrades”

Hello Bakers!

In order to stay relevant on the market one has to always seek improvement and innovation. The same goes for your bakery!

Upgrading your equipment and inventory will be one of the very important things to do when taking care of your business. In-game you will have an access to a special customize mode and you will be able to upgrade some of the equipment you currently own.

If you ever get angry that your ingredients are rapidly being used and you have to go organize another shipment of everything you need in order to bake, bake, bake - then upgrades will be straight up your valley. After all you will be able to simply buy a better ingredients rack that will store more and make your life a little bit easier!

And not only the elements of your bakery but it as a whole - you will be able to upgrade your baking place to a higher standard, you’ll get more space, more machines and more possibilities this way. Your growth, in a way, will be shown by the place you own and work in!

We believe that you will find a lot of fun in the game by growing and upgrading different parts of your bakery. And hopefully it will be the best bakery in the city!

Upgrades - the key to development?

Best regards,
Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #53 “Midnight ride”

Hello Bakers!

If you decide to take care of deliveries by yourself it is important to know the city well. And in order to achieve that you might want to take a ride from time to time.

The city in the game is quite huge - that’s why checking all places is important - what it makes is getting you familiar with different streets and avenues. And let’s not forget about the suburbs!

Make sure that you drive safely! You’re not alone in the city and other drivers will also come and go as they are on their own way. Wouldn’t want to get into any accident, right?

Skyscrapers and other tall buildings make it easy to get lost in the city. Better check the map from time to time to make sure you’re in the right place!

Speaking of which - is there anything better than peacefully driving through the forest? Almost becoming one with nature, letting all your worries melt and finding your inner peace - that’s it! And since you might sometimes have to deliver your products to remote areas of the map it is also good for your awareness to come here from time to time!

Be sure to find some time to visit different parts of the city - that knowledge might be useful in future!

Best regards,
Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #52 “Muffins to the rescue!”

Hello Bakers!

Sometimes we all have those worse days. Days when nothing good happens and everything seems to be out there to get you… A day when we definitely could eat a cupcake!

Looking out the window it seems the night is still ruling over the world and you suddenly get taken back to older times, the nostalgia starts to seep in and you think back to times where life was easier and happier... You spend a long moment just looking into the darkness before an idea suddenly comes to your mind!

Muffins to the rescue – you say as you start preparing yourself to bake them and be enveloped by their unearthly taste. Muffins can bring anyone from the pits of sadness or nostalgia and revive them and fortunately in the Bakery Simulator we are already thinking about that and that is why, as you can see below, we have added the appropriate forms and tools for you to bake some whenever you will feel like it!

What is your sweet way to deal with some emotions?

Best regards,
Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #51 “Spot the difference!”

Hello Bakers!

As we are making progress on the game an idea dawned on us – why not show you something extra from the game and also make that in itself... a game?

So as you know we are hard at work - different types of bread and ingredients scattered around as we do them justice - doing our best to make sure the game feels and plays great but what we are also doing is making sure that the game looks great! And once in a while it is very nice to sit back for a second and check your progress – just to see and check how much has changed in-between days.

It was much whiter back in the days as you can clearly see while looking at the screenshots. But the interesting thing for us is how much has changed during our creative work process. Some of those things are easily noticeable but some are less pronounced and more nuanced. As that’s the case we started to wonder – would you be able to spot all the differences between two screenshots of the same place?

Well… do you think you can find them all?

Best regards

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #50 “Happy Halloween!”

Hello Bakers!

What’s that? Something new appeared in our bakery out of nowhere? You’re saying someone went into my place without me knowing about that? Wait, where’s my key? Oh. …gulp.

Halloween is almost here and even our bakery wouldn’t be able to resist the charm of the festivities! There are pumpkins scattered about our place and you just can feel the charm of the place doubling! It’s so nice to the place decorated like that… It brings out the soul of the place!

And pumpkins are the greatest! They not only look good and are working brilliantly as an element of the decoration but you can also make some baking magic with them and prepare tasty treats! We are thinking about pumpkin pie and pumpkin cookies – seems like a great idea for the moment.

Do you have any other ideas for pumpkin related treats for tomorrow?

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #49 “Everyone’s best friend – doughnut machine!”

Hello Bakers!

The way to another person’s heart is through their stomach – that’s what they say and how true are those word? And while you can cook a great meal, you can buy some sweets or prepare fantastic evening full of extravaganza dishes… We sometimes think that doughnuts are simply the way to go!

That is why today we thought it to be best moment to show you the effect of our love and labor which at the same time will bring us so much love in return. Doughnut machine! It is here that those little godly beauties will be created and I have a feeling that some of them might not be going to our clients but our own stomachs!

However – be careful! It’s very hot and it’s dangerous to play near the doughnut machine! While it’s a highly automatized process it does still require manual labour and precision. Remember to be safe when making your own batches of the sweet glory but never forget that we are talking about using hot cooking oil to create them. That’s not a joke!

And by the way – when speaking about those little pieces of heaven – do you call them doughnuts or donuts? Let us know in the comments!
