The current procedural generation has a few limitations that will be solved in future updates. Future updates will provide more features, such as map sizing, rivers, lakes, and potentially terraforming. The standard map is available for anyone having issues with procedural maps.
This procedural system provides a lot of future benefits such as natural material blending, tesselation and a new way of spawning rivers, paths, fields and huge worlds.
