Narrative Trailer
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the new space RTS set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe from Games Workshop, today unveils the Narrative Trailer. This video, composed from some of the game's cinematics, introduces the ambitious solo campaign which will plunge players into the heart of the spectacular void battles of the 12th Black Crusade of Abaddon.
Great care has been taken with the campaign of Battlefleet Gothic, through its story and realisation. Many cinematics, astutely mixing game sequences with artwork created by talented artists, support the story and the major events of the campaign, which are sometimes influenced by the success - or failure - of the missions. The Gothic Sector is in constant evolution, and new threats often make an appearance such as the Ork pirates, or the Eldar corsairs.
The Chaos forces will often launch assaults on Imperial worlds, while your allies will request your support. Quite often, multiple events will arise simultaneously, requiring you to take critical decisions and bear the weight of their consequences, such as different access to resources, or available allies... in the end, your decisions will influence the unfolding of the Gothic War itself.

Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos Interactive today warp into the of the Imperium faction, for their new RTS adaptation of Games Workshops famous tabletop game. Featuring miles-long ships, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada pits four factions against each other for control of the Gothic sector of space.
The Imperial fleet ships are not the fastest nor the most powerful in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, but a millennia of war has made them tough nuts to crack. Let's delve into the intricacies of these battle-hardened goliaths!
Defined by dense void shields and metres thick armor, these ships can adapt to any kind of battle situation. Their torpedo strikes and devastating Nova cannon blasts are enough devastate most opponents. Any that do survive are quickly dispatched by the powerful broadside armaments, while the Imperium ships' armor and shields ensure they survive the encounter.
If your targets are not shredded by your barrages of torpedo strikes - or, if your ships are equipped, devastating Nova cannon blasts - your powerful broadside Macro-cannons and Lance batteries will make short work of what's left of the enemy.
As a last-resort, remember the ships are well-armored and can take quite a beating. This means that ramming your prow into the hull of an enemy ship can be a surprisingly effective tactic, especially if your target is of a smaller class.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada warps in on PC beginning of 2016.
Waaagh! The Orks invade their way in new screenshots!
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the RTS videogame adaptation by Tindalos Interactive of Games Workshop’s classic tabletop game, today reveals the Ork fleet for the first time! First hinted at in the Gameplay Trailer last month, in a post-credits sequence, the Ork ships are presented today in all their badass glory in new screenshots.
Orks are not your typical space-faring species. Their ships are usually built from scrap, hulks of other ships, and in some rare cases even from asteroids. But what their ships lack in reliability is made up for with sheer firepower and particularly strong prow armor. "More Dakka" would be their motto, and charging forward, all cannons blazing and ramming the enemy ships is a totally valid "tactic" in the mind of any Ork captain.
Developed on Unreal Engine 4, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is an RTS in which the player takes command of one of these battlefleets composed of the most powerful spaceships from the Imperial, Chaos, Eldar and Ork forces, in a no-quarter given struggle for the control of the Gothic sector of space. Players will be at the center of every fight, commanding fleets of gigantic ships as the Chaos unleash a sequential chain of surprise attacks on Imperium naval bases – the start of 20 years of warring in the sector.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada offers deep management of every ship composing the player’s fleet, both during and between battles. From the fastest frigates to the gigantic, miles-long battleships, the player will customize all aspects of his ships: weaponry, defense and support sub-systems, etc… each customization affecting the very performances of the ship and the special abilities available during battle. From battle to battle, the admirals and crew of surviving ships will gain experience and promotions, improving the battle-readiness of the ships for future, bigger and more dangerous battles.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will release on PC in 2016.
