Let's go deeper into the Gothic Sector!

Greeting Admirals,

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada released one week ago, and its success was beyond our most optimistic expectations. We planned an original development budget based on expected revenues, but these revenues have been largely overtaken. Because of this, we’ve been working with our publisher Focus Home Interactive to plan several major additions to our game, to offer you the best possible experience as well as exceptional content. This new content will require a future development plan that will keep the Tindalos teams busy for all of 2016.

Many of you voted to let us know which faction you would like to see in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada in the future. The Tau fleet received the largest number of votes. We’re therefore happy to announce that The Tau Fleet will be the second faction DLC offered to all Early Adopters (players who pre-ordered or purchased the game in an official retailer up to 2 months after release).

Tyranids came second in the poll, and believe us, they won’t be left behind. But, for now, let’s talk about what we can unveil to you guys: here’s the development roadmap detailing what you’ll get in the coming months!

DEVELOPMENT ROAD MAP

As well as post-launch support, including a host of bug fixes and balance changes, we have a development road map delivering a host of new content over the coming months. To follow the latest bug fixes and patch notes, head over to our Official Forums. Read on to see what we’ve got in store!

Coming in the next few weeks:

Online Custom Games against Friends
Online custom games will allow you to invite your friends to matches, competing with or against them in 1vs1 and 2vs2 battles.

Improved Regional Matchmaking
An ELO matchmaking system will be added, meaning Admirals will not only be matched by level, but also depending on their victory/defeat ratio. Improvements will also be made to ensure you’re matched with an Admiral close to your level. Regional matchmaking will match players close to each other to improve latency.

Russian Language Version
Our Russian friends have been asking, and we'll soon deliver a Russian language version to them!

Chat Improvements
Team-chat will be added. You will also be able to continue discussing with allies and opponents during the post-match score screen.

Coming over the next couple of months:

Space Marines DLC
Our first DLC faction, the Space Marine fleet, arrives in June 2016.

Ranked Matches and Global Leaderboard
For players who wish to play in a competitive environment, we’re adding Ranked Matchmaking and a global leaderboard. Ranked matches will fall under certain conditions, including a disabled tactical cogitator and the appropriate Admiral level.

Elite System
Admirals who reach a certain level 8 in solo offline matches will unlock Elite Battles. These are increasingly epic and challenging fights against the AI. Winning Elite Battles will unlock new, more difficult Elite battles – and only the best will make it onto the Elite leaderboard.

2 vs 2 Improvements
You’ll be able to invite a friend to play 2 vs 2 against the AI - the progression system will be available in this mode for both you and your friend.

Pre-set Behaviors
We’ve heard your feedback about having to manually set skills and behaviors at the start of every game. Let's fix that! We're working on a screen at your docks, where you'll be able to pre-set your behaviors and skills.

Coming in a few months:

Tau Fleet (Forge World) DLC
We've intercepted alarming signals from the Damocles Sector! For the greater good! Free for Early Adopters.

Custom Online Leagues
We’ll provide tools so players can organize themselves in private online tournaments.

For players who wish to play in a competitive environment, we’re adding Ranked Matchmaking and a global leaderboard. Ranked matches will fall under certain conditions, including a disabled tactical cogitator and the appropriate Admiral level.

New Skills
Along with ongoing balance changes, we also plan to implement new skills to enhance each faction’s own unique flavor.

Fleet Color
You will be able to customize the color of your ships.

Profiles and Heroic Deeds
We'll develop a profile page for all admirals, where you'll find tons of data about your games and achievements.

This is only the beginning. With all your support, feedback, and our passion for this universe, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will live on into the grim dark future.

Launch Trailer Arrives!

Battlefeet Gothic: Armada disembarks tomorrow!

We are unveiling today our Launch Trailer: plunge into a dizzying sequence-shot, in the heart of massive and intense battle between the Imperium warships and the Chaos fleet that came to Port Maw to wipe out the Imperial base from the space map.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3w3XeHpsis

We are extremely proud to release Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, and we'd like to thank all of you for your continued support during the beta. Your feedback has been incredibly helpful while ironing out the game for release.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada’s release is a milestone we’re happy to be celebrating. However, thanks to your feedback, we will continue to focus on improving and providing support for our game well after the launch.

Our team is still dedicated to releasing updates, and we are already working on post-release content. The Space Marine fleet is being fleshed out (as you can see in the Launch Trailer), as well as the upcoming additional fleet.

Space Marines, as well as an additional faction that we will unveil later, will be offered to all the Early Adopters of the game. Early Adopters include all players who pre-ordered the game, as well as anyone who buys it within two months after release.

Welcome in the Gothic Sector!

The Eldar join the Beta!

The Eldar have joined the beta today, bringing the finest technology in the universe with them. Read the full patch notes HERE.

Eldar ships are incredibly fast and maneuverable, packing serious firepower. This is offset by the fragility of their ships. Many Admirals have lost their first battle as the Eldar – they can be tricky to master, with a steeper learning curve than other factions. Their strategy is based around hit-and-run assaults, offering a brand new, rewarding gameplay style with deep tactical options.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O74nSsaZ9Q&feature=youtu.be

Eldar ships are as fast as they are fragile - they lack in any heavy armour. With the exception of their battleships, their craft are not fitted with shields, instead relying on advanced Holo-fields in conjunction with their speed and agility to avoid incoming fire. This makes them extremely hard to track and hit with conventional weaponry. Destroying Eldar ships’ engines is the best way to keep them at close-range, ensuring you have enough time to inflict lethal damage.

The Battlefleet Gothic: Armada community continues to be incredibly helpful with ironing out the game, and all beta players will now be able to help us balance the Eldar fleets, just like they have the other three factions. This will ensure the best possible experience when the game releases on April 21.

Preorder Battlefleet Gothic: Armada’s Early Adopters Edition at 10% off, and receive the Space Marines fleet + one additional fleet (more info coming soon) for free, as well as instant access to the beta, which will continue until the game releases. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will release April 21st on PC.

Da Orkz Is 'Ere!

Battlefleet Gothic beta participants have already had a brief taste of the Ork’s devastating potential, when they faced them during the last mission of the prologue.

The Orks have arrived at full speed today to shake up the beta’s intense battles even further. The total opposite of Chaos’ long-range gameplay and the Imperium’s balanced style, the Orks fight in the most direct, brutal (and fun!) way possible. Players will be able to wield the Orks’ mighty power in beta skirmishes, before ramming enemy ships in multiplayer.

Read da patch notes 'ere: http://steamcommunity.com/app/363680/discussions/0/385429254935315242/

All of this is illustrated in this trailer, which gives a fittingly loud introduction for the Orks. Supported by a primal war song heard on every battlefield they’re invading, these destruction specialists take a wild pleasure in abolishing enemy fleets, leaving behind only metal scraps and burning carcasses.

Romain Clavier, Game Director of Tindalos, explains:

It's a huge pleasure for a young studio like ours to see Battlefleet Gothic gather so much interest from so many players. The beta has been incredibly helpful in spotting relevant demands from the community. Following this huge response we've made the decision to spend some additional time integrating your feedback into the game. As a consequence, we will release Battlefleet Gothic: Armada on April 21st.

Based on that, we felt the need to release more content, both to reward current Battlefleet players and to introduce even more madness to this beta! As a result, we've decided to unleash the Orks in the coming days. This faction will turn your Battlefleet Gothic: Armada experience upside-down, with a totally different, more brutal style of gameplay. Having them in the beta will also allow us to balance them perfectly before the game releases.

There's another important thing we'd like to announce. Currently, the Space Marines fleet is offered for free to all Early Adopters. With the support of our publisher Focus, we've decided to develop another faction that we'll unveil soon. This new faction, available in a few months, will also be offered for free to all Early Adopters - people who pre-ordered the game or purchase it during the first two months after release. We wanted to show you, the community, that we're passionate about supporting this game and its players. We're always paying attention to your feedback, and this is how together we'll make the game we've all dreamt about.

Overview Trailer Celebrates Beta Launch!

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, Tindalos Interactive's real-time strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, has opened its beta. All players who preorder the game on Steam or the official store can immediately join this beta, build their first fleets and test their worth as Admiral against other players or the AI!

In addition to the 10% discount offered during the pre-order period, Early Adopters of Battlefleet Gothic Armada will receive one extra faction for free - the Space Marines - and immediate access to the Beta of the game. From today, players can practice building their Imperium and Chaos fleets and get used to the gameplay mechanics in the solo campaign prologue, before testing their skills against the AI or players online in 1v1 skirmishes.

The remaining factions (Orks and Eldar), as well as the full solo campaign and other multiplayer modes (like 2vs2) will be made available when the game launches later in March. The Space Marines fleet will be available to play a few weeks after the game launches.

Today's Overview Trailer shows off what you can expect from the full version of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada when it releases later in March. Discover the branching story campaign, in-depth customization and tactical gameplay!

Made in Unreal Engine 4, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada offers deep management of every ship in your fleet, during and between battles. With different skills and abilities, you can customize all aspects of your ships. Whether it's crew for weaponry or repairs, or new skills such as the augur probe and micro-warp jump, you'll be able to add more as each ship gains experience.

Multiplayer battles are all about positioning and flanking your enemy. Carefully align your path with your target, launching a devastating salvo of torpedoes before violently ramming them for incredible destructive force. Alternatively, you may choose to slide close enough to expose your broadside cannons and unleash a barrage of heavy fire. every action has weight and inertia, so mistakes will rarely be left unpunished by your opponent.

Players can now pre-order the Early Adopters Edition of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada for 10% off on Steam and the official store. Early Adopters will receive the Space Marines Fleet DLC for free, along with immediate access to the Beta. This offer is available for players who preorder or buy the game within 2 months after release.

With regards to localization, this multiplayer beta is available in English only.

You can view the system requirements for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada HERE

Preparing For Battle
Before jumping into glorious battle against your fellow players, we’d recommend playing through the Campaign Prologue. This acts as a tutorial to teach you the basics of gameplay, and sets the scene for the Gothic War in which the game takes place.

This multiplayer beta allows you to play as either Imperium or Chaos, which make up two of the four races that will appear on the game’s release. Along with multiplayer, you also have the option of playing in offline skirmishes against an AI fleet.

We Want To Hear From You!
Please remember that this is a real beta, and does not represent the quality of the final product. There may be bugs, and things could go wrong!

As developers, we are incredibly excited and eager to hear what you think about the Battlefleet Gothic: Armada multiplayer beta. Don’t be afraid to share your comments, positive or otherwise – it all helps us in ensuring the finished game is as good as it can be.

Also remember that you are not under any kind of NDA during this beta. This means you can stream, share, screenshot and talk about everything you see in the game – in fact, we strongly encourage it!

Beyond the Beta
We will be wiping all online progress at the end of the multiplayer beta. This will help to avoid the unfair advantage beta participants may otherwise have in online play when Battlefleet Gothic: Armada releases fully.

The multiplayer beta will be playable all the way until the full release of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada.

All glory to the Emperor!

The Chaos fleet emerges in a gameplay video!

The Chaos fleet is inbound in the new gameplay video of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada!

The Chaos Warfleet, led by Abaddon and his admiral ship the Planet Killer, emerges from the Eye of Terror! After revealing the Imperium ships and gameplay in a previous video, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the new space RTS set in the Warhammer 40k universe from Games Workshop, now showcases the Chaos fleet and its ships in a new gameplay video!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63qOrP4WtFg

Over the millennia, many ships and their crew have betrayed the Imperium to join the Traitor Legions. As such, a big part of the Chaos Warfleet is composed of ancient ship designs that have long since been decommissioned from service in the Imperial Navy.

But make no mistake, this does not make them less fearsome. While not as heavily armoured, Chaos ships are faster than their Imperium counterparts, and out-range them with extensive use of weaponry such as Lances and attack crafts. These traits work well in synergy with the Stasis Bomb: teleported from your ship, the bomb traps enemy ships and their ordnance, while allowing your own lances to rain destruction on them. Astute Chaos admirals will be able to inflict considerable damage to the enemy fleet before they may even return fire.

Chaos ships, and their crew, may also receive the favours of the four Gods of Chaos. Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch and Nurgle will reward your prowess in battle with Chaos Marks, each giving different bonuses and abilities to your ship, while warping their hull, dramatically affecting their appearance.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada warps in on PC beginning of 2016.
