Here are the many new things you'll be able to experience in the 1.0 version:

Combat
- New arenas.
- A new final boss.

- A new complete faction. 3 characters; dozens of unique animations; new abilities.
- New animations for all factions.

  • Fixed an issue where the Counterattack mechanic wouldn’t trigger because the foe with the strongest melee attack would be killed before playing
  • Fixed shaders issues caused by an engine update

  • Fixed a couple of crashes related to loading/unloading elements
  • Fixed a UI issue where the Counterattack component was desynchronized with the game state and not showing the proper number of charges
  • Fixed a rare UI issue where removing Jokan Virus cards in deck would not proportionally decrease his Fury score
  • Fixed an issue where the Heavy mechanic wouldn’t properly behave on card inserted into the deck during the fight
  • Fixed a UI issue where floating damage score would wrap when showing values with 3 or more digits

Balance Changes

  • Architect’s Curse now reads: On draw: lose 1 Pulse. (33% chance per Act to trigger)
  • Abrupt Aggression W now reads: Gain 1 Rage. Gain 2 Temporary Fury.
  • Abrupt Aggression M now reads: Gain 1 Rage. Add 1 Virus to draw pile.
  • Increased Abrupt Aggression M damage to 20 from 16
  • Removed Cleansing effects “Gain 5 guard and draw 1 card”
  • Pure Emptiness now applies its effects to Whispers of Tyr-Nihl immediately

  • Fixed steam game icon that was pixelated
  • Fixed a texture issue on Doltar

0.7.7 (Save + Special Requests revamp)


After many weeks of hard work, we’re very excited to present to you two major feature revamps… and a bunch of updates and bug fixes!

Save System
We completely changed the way runs were saved/loaded to prevent certain exploits while keeping the overall experience agreable for everyone. The only thing to keep in mind from now on is: you can pause/resume your run to your heart’s content except during fights, as true heroes always face adversity head on!

Special Requests / Sorties & Architect’s Curse
We entirely reworked the Special Requests / Sorties as they had a lot of untapped potential. Here we present: Expeditions - a new and exciting way to start all your runs! Moreover, Expeditions and Architect’s Curse Levels combine to provide exciting and challenging runs.

To accommodate all these new changes, we didn't have any choice but to erase any pre-existing saved game.

Balance Changes

  • Removed Ethereal Elevation Knockback
  • Removed Plight Knockback
  • Decreased Machiavellian Calculator uses per combat to 4 from 5
  • Burning Incubation W now reads [on being played] “Shuffle card in draw pile. Its cost increases by 1 and its damage by 20.”
  • Rest option to upgrade a card now improves with Act


Improvements

  • Foes now have unique power icons


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an animation issue on Arcane Anchor
  • Fixed an issue where losing to the last boss was still yielding a completion of 100%
  • Fixed several VFX targeting issues
  • Fixed an animation issue that was occasionally crashing the game
  • Fixed an issue where opening/closing multiple popups in a row would crash the game



Upcoming feature revamps and saved game wipe

Tomorrow (Friday the 21st of July) at about 12pm EST, we'll release a new patch containing 2 feature revamps.

This patch will bring structural changes to save files causing incompatibilities between versions leading to a wipe of the save file.

We encourage you to complete any ongoing run by then.

  • Fixed a UI issue that was displacing enemy’s health score in their panel
  • Fixed an issue where playing a card that was doing multiple strikes was stalling the game
  • Fixed several issues revolving card management during fights that were stalling the game
  • Fixed a UI issue where the “Victory” title in the fight reward screen was hidden


Additions/Improvements

  • Reworked Sora’s Blazing Shift animation so it is synchronized with transformation when it repeats
  • Now health bars turn red when they reach 50%
