Bhavacakra Maco

Version 0.2.6 Wolf

The port town, Fino, adds the game’s largest tavern, Duchess’ boobs, and also adds a new unique character, Sharon the singer, who is also a participant in Bella bikini contest.
As far as the bikini contest is concerned, right now I have two participants (Maco and Mieke excluded). That is obviously not enough. I need at least 5 or 6 more.

Mountain of fire is also finally up in this patch. This one took me a while to get going. The update includes fire dungeon as well, which means some quests can now progress.

What has been restored/added:

1. A port town, Fino, has been added. Only port city Bella is left for Cizna.

2. Mountain of fire is now accessible. This is where Maco can do nice damage since everything will be weak to ice.

3. Quinn’s quest “The teaching of the world” can now progress two steps further.

4. A side quest “The revenge of a waitress” can now start from Eton tavern, provided that you’ve been following Tom’s quests (upskirt scenes).

5. A side quest “Unique salt” added.

6. A side quest “Duel” added.

7. Maco can now fight the first round of 76th Corlo tournament.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. Taunt skill (tanking skill) has been adjusted. The skill now lasts for only 1 turn and will drain stamina. I did this because the skill seemed overpowered. What this means is that, if your tank gets dazed or something, he may not be able to cover for others in the next turn.

Version 0.2.5 Wolf

In this patch, a new unique NPC, Dona, was added. She can be found in Cyro university and is a crucial character for Yellow turban bandit side quest.
On the same topic, I’ve decided to make Yellow turban arc Cizna guild exclusive. After all, it’s in their jurisdiction. So, this quest won’t be worked on for a while.

What has been restored/added:

1. A fishing town, Cetsu, has been added.

2. A guild quest “Funny mantis” added.

3. Maco can now register for Corlo tournament, provided that you meet the requirements.

4. A guild quest “Patrol” added.

5. A side quest “Tainted well” added.

0.2.4 Wolf

This patch focuses mainly on the first climax of Eton guild story quest line which is about defeating Red turban bandits. During this very specific period, Xander (heavy tank), Thorn (massive DPS), and Mieke (awesome healer) are available to you. Those three are top tier characters.
Those three are nothing like the likes of Jasmin and Kesper although Kesper can be pretty decent once given a chainmail and once he gets high top tier skill.

I’ve also began working on Corlo melee tournament which may warrant its own walkthrough. It does have its own section in the walkthrough.
I should be able to implement some of early tournaments in 0.2.5.

What has been restored/added:

1. A guild quest “Train Akatoob” restored.
2. A guild quest “Rabbit hole” restored.
3. A series of guild quests relating to “Blockade” added.
4. A guild quest “Downfall” restored. With this, Red turban arc with Eton guild is over. Baba can now join and he is your first real tank with Eton guild. To celebrate this small milestone, the title screen has been replaced with a new one.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. Minor spelling mistakes were corrected. (five instances)
2. Exp given from Man eater has been corrected. I missed a zero. It was giving 250 exp instead of 2,500. Ciznian wasp was also giving out only 100 exp. This was also corrected. It now gives 500 exp.

Version 0.2.3 Wolf

A mining town from fourth nation, Jordin, was added. This place was supposed to be added in 0.3.x line but a guild quest involves this place and I felt waiting months for that a story quest to be implemented was counter-productive.

Just a little info on Jordin, it is a nation that is a mixture of Japanese and Korean. You’ve probably seen their NPC if you’ve visited Inder. Jordin women exclusively wear kimono.
And their culture discriminates men by their hair color. Only black and brown hair colors are “permitted”. What this means is that, if you have any male party member who is blond, they won’t be able to traverse deep into Jordin. The miming town, Bo, does not enforce this though as it is a remote settlement.

On the dialog reward, some choices will now grant exp (to Maco only) instead of attribute bonus.

What has been restored/added:

1. A side quest “The creep” updated with part 2. Part 2 takes its place at Corlo. Orella is the next target.

2. A new side quest “Alternative meat” added.

3. A character quest “Gwynn’s dilemma” added. This is a beginning of a long side quest for her.

4. A mining town, Bo, was added. It can be accessed from going south from Cyro crossroad.

5. A new guild quest “Iron maiden” added.

6. Gwynn’s husband, Gary, was added to Cyro university. If you talk to him while having Gwynn in your party, you can have some interesting topic from him.

Version 0.2.2 Wolf

Please take a look at the long paragraph at the end of the patch note. Basically, a bug was found that can only be fixed with a restart but the bug itself is not game-breaking.

What has been restored/added:

1. The village of life is now accessible, provided that you completed the “boat repair” guild quest.

2. A guild quest “Loud neighbor again” restored.

2. A guild quest “Red heads” restored.

4. A new side quest “The creep part 1” added. This is a grand(meh) quest involving a creep who goes around the world for upskirt shots. The first part begins in Eton.

5. Tier 2 gears for mages have been added in Eton mage shop.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. There appears to be a bug where Maco’s IQ attribute gets broken and reverts to a low value (99 in my save). I’ve investigated this and it appears that stats cap appears to be the cause.

Once an attribute goes beyond 200, it reverts to 99 or 100 and its cap becomes 100.
Increasing stats cap in the engine options did not seem to fix this and 199 appears to be the hard limit because once it reaches a value of 200, that particular attribute gets bugged.
Some quest dial choices awards attribute increases and this was the cause.

This has forced me to rework dialog choice rewards. While a restart is required to fix broken attributes, it is not a game breaking bug, meaning you are not required to restart.
Maco’s IQ is the only attribute affected by this bug as it was the most common dialog reward. You will be stuck at her IQ being 99 only (original is 192) but it shouldn’t affect her ice magic too much further you advance the game.

If her IQ value is fine in your save, there is nothing to worry about as this patch removes problematic codes.
I do need to rethink about how dialog rewards work but that’s why this game is in early access.

0.2.1 Wolf

I know some settlements are rather empty. Quests need to be add in order for me to add NPCs and missing interiors. This will happen gradually, very gradually.

What has been restored/added:

1. A new side quest “Love crab legs” added.

2. The side quest Goblin study is completed. This marks the completion of the first major side quest. It has a twist near the end.

3. The capital of Cizna, Cyro, is open. This is the largest and most advanced city in the game. I had to make some compromises in RPG Maker MV version due to tileset size restrictions but Wolf engine has no such limit, so I went nuts on this one. Now, only parliament is open at the moment in the city in this patch.

4. Ezona sees its mayor and guards implemented.

5. Cizna guild quest “Lost box” added.

6. Ezona pass will spot tougher bandits once Maco passes a certain level.

7. Cizna guild quest “Boat repair” added.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. A side quest “Daddy, where art thou” was broken, literally. It’s been corrected.

Version 0.2.0 Wolf

Welcome to 0.2.x.

This is where I will rebuild the third nation, Cizna.
This nation is both culturally and technically superior from the rest of nations in the game. They are politically advanced as well and have a parliament instead of absolute monarchy (kings).

Optionally, Maco can defect to Cizna guild after a certain point. (Not possible at the moment)

Cizna has three big side quest arcs. One is 76th Corlo melee tournament. Second is Bella bikini contest (AKA Miss Cizna contest). The third is Yellow turban bandits.
These two will be implemented before 0.2.x ends, hopefully.

The title screen also gets a new CG.

What has been restored/added:

1. Cizna city, Corlo, added. It’s where the Cizna guild resides. This also means a whole bunch of new characters are introduced in this patch: Benja, Orella, Cody, Shana, Irune, Doreian, Konrad, Mieke, Xander, and Thorn.
That’s 10 unique characters and 8 of them can be added to Maco’s party given right circumstances. As of this patch, Cody and Shana can certainly be added to Maco’s party.

2. Two new outfield zones in order to connect Vollin and Corlo are released. They are not fully complete and will require several patches. These zones does introduce new monsters. Currently, two. One more will be added later.

3. A new side quest “A letter to home” added.

4. Cizna guild quests “Wasp problem” and “Merchant escort” added.

5. The side quest “Goblin study” updated. Luca can now join Maco.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. A bug fix for “Better hotdogs” side quest. You couldn’t turn in.

2. Teaching of water was inaccessible. This has been corrected.

3. A minor bug fix on Goblin study. Luca’s research/study timers were bugged (it was instant).

Version 0.1.7 Wolf

This patch sees two new dungeons implemented.
The water dungeon and the orc cave dungeon. While both of them have at least one side quest associated with it, these dungeons will have more content in the future.
The addition of these two dungeons marks completion of Alcella island.
The next patch will be 0.2.x and I will move onto working on adding the third nation, Cizna which is probably the most interesting nation of all.

On an unrelated note to the patch, I advise you to check out libraries in the game. There are three major libraries in the game and each of them has a specific focus.

What has been restored/added:

1. A new side quest “Better hotdogs” added.
2. Eton tavern gets a new hot waitress. I am hoping to have few fan service quests with her in the future.
3. I left the temple of Hatred rather unfinished for a long time. The place is now populated.
4. A new character quest “Neven’s confession” added.
5. The side quest “The teaching of the world” updated. Quinn can now be added to your party.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. I’ve increased sale price of higher tier drops. I did this because I was finding myself barely making even while I traveled around.

Version 0.1.6 Wolf

Map wise, Alcella republic is complete. Now I need to add content to the map and I can wrap up 0.1.x and move onto 0.2.x.
Additionally, the world map will become one of loading screens.

What has been restored/added:

1. The last settlement on Alcella island, Inder, has been added along with a new unique NPC, Yuzu Inder.
2. The ill girl quest updated.
3. A new side quest “Girl versus a shark” added.
4. A side quest “The teaching of the world” part 1 restored.
5. A side quest “Goblin study” updated.
6. A new side quest “Daddy where art thou” added.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. I spotted several bugs in Goblin study quest. They weren’t gaming breaking but rendered the quest being unable to proceed. They’ve been corrected.

2. A major bug in Tobas crisis side quest fixed where the quest would be broken at the end. If you already had the quest at that stage, simply talk to the chieftain again to correct it.

Version 0.1.5 Wolf

This update focuses largely on populating Valura, Alca, and Fadin. Interiors and NPCs were added. Not all of them though.
This update also adds a new fan service scene during “Goblin study” side quest. More info on that is on the walkthrough.

What has been restored/added:

1. The side quest “The ill girl” updated.
2. A new side quest “Who let the sheep out” added.
3. A side quest “Goblin study” restored partially. As this is a rather long quest, it will take few patches to complete.

Below is a list of changes/fixes

1. Hard leather armor had way too high resistance value. It’s been corrected.
