The game finally made it to Final Release and we want everyone who has followed its development over the years a chance to play it.
For those who have been following the games development - there is a full BZ-style strategy game with 3 maps to play head to head games. Up to 8 players on each team can play as pilot with wingman (bot) commands!
Major Game Bug Fixes and New Content
After getting some really great feedback from the community we made some changes to the singleplayer missions. We needed to make it easier for players to locate the mission goals, so we added a couple of new HUD indicators: Then we went through each mission, goal by goal, and made it easier to complete. Its our first attempt at single player missions and until we got some feedback we had no idea if the missions were too difficult. The tool tip and mission goal text was also revised to make it easier to understand exactly what the goal is.
During our mission revision we also fixed alot of bugs. There were issues with the collisions that needed to be fixed. (no more vehicle clipping the static meshs!) We also tuned alot of algorithms to make the vehicles drive smoother and adjust their pitch depending on the slope.
The full version also includes 3 maps for team death match (TDM). Check out the 3rd map in the TDM rotation ("Universe Map 1"), its a preview of whats to come. Here is a screen shot of the map in development:
Patch 03 - Bug Fixes and Minor Mission Changes
We fixed the broken Key Mapping System. Special thanks to the community for helping find this bug. All changes to the key map will now work and be saved. We are working on adding controller support, should be in an upcoming patch. Also we are working on making the missions easier to play. In this patch we changed how the mission starts by reducing the number of enemy bots and recommending using the Bayonet Shield to get out of the hangar. We really appreciate all the feedback and bug reports we get from the gaming community. Since we are just 2 devs working on the game, its really hard to find all the bugs, Thanks! -LtF
Major Change to Missions and Bug Fixes
In this revision, we fixed alot of bugs and replaced the beginning to mission 1.
The invert mouse bug has been resolved and the aim/steer sensitivity has be increased.
The beginning of mission 1: Emze Mine has be modified significantly. When starting the mission, the player now just has to get into the Bayonet and drive to the geyser. We took out the trip in the Hopper because it was taking too long. In this revision the player starts mission 1 in the Hangar Shed and only has to get into the Bayonet before issuing an order to the wingmen to follow. Once that is complete, just drive over to the geyser and deploy it.
We fixed several more bugs and added a new key for rotating the players view in the vehicles. Once in the vehicle, use the Shift + Mouse to change the aiming yaw and the Control + Mouse for the view look. Using the SHFT + Mouse when firing the weapon allows the player to better aim due to the lateral movement of the gun barrels. The Control + Mouse is used for looking around from inside the vehicle without changing the weapons aim.
We also added a Tool Tip summary for quick reference. It can be accessed from the singleplayer missions using the menu to select the mission. This can be useful for looking up how to use specific features of the game like issuing orders to wingmen and building assets.
New Content for the Single Player Missions Demo
We just published revision 2 for the single player missions Demo. The Full Version will be updated with these two new missions and one more multiplayer map at the end of next week. This update includes two new missions with trainers, one on Europa and the other on Venus. The mission on Europa involves finding the Spectralite after rescuing the hostage bot from the enemy. The second mission on Venus involves protecting the convoy of loaders from attack and defending the Main Pump. We are getting some feedback that some are having issues starting the missions, it is confusing. In order to start the missions, Hit the Z key first. The z key pulls up the Mission Goals and gives a brief summary of the mission. Once you close the missions goals the mission will start. Close the Mission Goals by hitting the Z key again. Then after the mission starts, when the goals change you can use the Z key to toggle the missions update screen open and closed. This is the same for the tool tips, but use the SHFT + Z key to toggle that screen open and closed. We are currently working on adding another map to the multiplayer version of the game. Once that is finished in a few days, we will update the full version with the new single player maps also. Also, we are currently working on adding the sniper rifle and the Spectralite weapons/shields modifier to the multiplayer games. We did fix many bugs in this revision however none of them were game killers, just minor tweeks to make the missions more engaging and easier to follow. Thanks! ~ LtFEED
Critical Viewing: Commander Tutorial 1, Deploy a Pump
Tutorial Number 1 of Many. Were going to start with the basics in this tutorial: How to Build and Deploy a Pump. The Pump is a deployed Collector. Its job is to suck bioore out of geysers and send it back to the refinery. At the refinery the bioore is processed into usable Bionite. Bionite is the main resource in the game. WIthout it Commanders can not build and well, that pretty much it. In this tutorial I go over how to deploy the Refabricator, build a Collector, then deploy it over a geyser into a Pump. I include all the key strokes in the text so you guys can see exactly which keys are being used for the Command Menu. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. thanks ~LtF

The Bionite: Origins Demo has released on Steam!
The Bionite: Origins Demo has released on Steam. It includes the first 2 single players missions only. Multiplayer is still only available in the full version. Set on the planets of Venus and Mars, the demo missions include trainers for learning the command system (used in the multiplayer version). They also introduce the backstory about what Bionite and Spectralite are and how to use them in the game. You can drive the Bayonet Light Tank and engage the enemy to test out the unique vehicle hover propulsion system. The Bayonet sorta drives like a military jet hovering about 3 feet off the ground. Anyone on the fence about the game? The demo is a great way to check out how much progress we have made since the last release! [previewyoutube="bzIxof4LoVY;leftthumb"]
MAJOR DEVELOPMENT UPDATE - Multiplayer and SinglePlayer Released!
After 10 years of work.......... We finally got the full version of strategy FPS/RTS posted for the public!!! We had no idea that it would take this long to complete. Making games using the Unreal engine is almost impossible, and this game is 100x more complex than most. There is so much in the game it would be impossible to explain here. This release is the first Beta of Bionite. It has all but just a few of the features that will be available in the final release. The full command system is ready for you guys to check out. For example: the tanks have the following commands: Follow, Hold, Go To Location, Go To Navigation Beacon, Attack, Hunt, Patrol, Fly in Formation, Protect, and Reassign to a new player or squad. The single player missions introduce the alien race and contain tool tips to help people learn the complex command system. The missions explain what Bioore and Spectralite are and how to use them. We are going to keep the game in early access for a few more weeks while we finish the new trailer. Once the trailer is done, were going to release an update then move the game to Final Release. Hotshot and I super appreciate all the support from our community and the extreme patients that you guys have had. I wish we could have done this faster, but making a stable game of this complexity is EXTREMELY difficult to do. More announcements to come shortly......~LtF
Were Finally Getting Ready to Release an Update
Sorry about the delay updating the game, but we had alot of work to do and even more testing. By the end of this month we will have a major overhaul posted with more bug fixes than i can list and a new map. We have spent hundreds of hours getting this new update done. Some of the improvements:
No more fixed camera, we moved it to a rotating one that is much smoother and easier to aim.
Better Vehicle handling and maneuvering using better physics.
Bug fixes for the AI that werent quit working as good as they should. The slow extractor for example, is fixed.
The new interior for the Bayonet, the Longbow, and Rhino.
The new map for Mars is a trainer with tool tips but focuses more on engaging the enemy in battle.
New Patrol State for the wingmen. Now you can set nav beacons around your base and tell your wingmen to Patrol using those beacons as waypoints.
The preliminary character mesh with the sniper rifle and the jetpack might be in this release. It might have to wait until the next one if I cant get it working right.
The Water Mine Mission on Europa will be done at the end of May and the Pit Mine Mission at the end of June. Once the first four singleplayer maps are done, were going to move to full release.
Immediately after full release were going to start testing MP and continue to add maps and new content. Thanks to everyone that has supported our mission of bringing this game to life, were working on hella more content and new maps right now.
I did a quick shadowplay video of one of the Actors in the upcoming mission on mars. Part of this mission is to stop the Bomb Truck from entering the Protien Farm Dome. If it gets in there, this is what happens...

What is the game Bionite: Origins about?
Bionite: Origins is a Real Time Strategy / First Person Shooter Hybrid game, also called an Action-Strategy Game. It consists of Real Time Strategy elements with first and third person views. Wingmen are commanded from a satellite, first, or third person views. Game matches occur on vast outdoor landscapes located on different planets, moons, and asteroids within the solar system. Bionite has two factions; Rebels and IMI. They are at war with each other for control of resources scattered throughout the solar system. The goal of each skirmish match is to destroy the enemy Refabricator before they destroy yours.
The game starts with the squadron captain located inside the team hangar with a Refabricator, two wingmen, and a limited supply of Bionite. All subsequent vehicles and buildings must be created by the Refabricator or Constructor. These ‘genesis vehicles’ use digital printers to fabricate vehicles and buildings (assets) from a material called Bionite. Bionite is the refined form of Bioore, a unique mineral not found on earth. Bioore is composed of Dolomite and a type of mineral that contains a microscopic life form. When extracted from the Dolomite and charged with electricity, the life form contained in the rock can be ‘printed’ into various types of materials. A material that contains Bionite has very unique properties that are highly prized by the military: extreme hardness and the ability to self heal. Once a vehicle hull containing Bionite has been printed it can be repaired simply by exposing it to electricity. On the battlefield a large force of Bionite-reinforced vehicles are very difficult to stop, and impossible to completely destroy.
Gathering resources to produce Bionite is accomplished by harvesting Bioore using a scavenger or an extractor type vehicle. Scavengers collect Bioore located on the planet surface. When over a Biopool the scavenger becomes an extractor. The extractor drills into Biopools to siphon out liquid Bioore in much larger quantities than a scavenger can collect from the surface.
