Update 5 (v0.5.78)


Hi,

As planned, we’ve been working on new content this past week. There are also some additional things that are almost done but need more tweaking and testing so we decided not to put it in this update, but it should come out very soon.
For now, here’s an overview of what you will see with this update.

New


  • Added 5 new items: Bayonet, Boomerang, Cloak, Golden Award and Golden Bullet.
  • Added 4 new secret levels in Swamp.
  • Added 3 new secret levels in Graveyard.
  • Added 8 new secret levels in Red Forest.


Balance


  • Platypus starting weapon now has limited range. It's still pretty high.
  • Increased chance to find items in chests.
  • Damage dealt by Graveyard boss Bogy while he rolls reduced by 1.

Update 4 (v0.5.77)

Hello,

Here's a small update.
As planned, first and second week after Early Access launch was dedicated to bug fixing, balancing the game and making small changes. As currently there aren't any major issues with the game, we will start adding more content with the next update. That does not mean that we will put bug fixing and balancing aside. We plan that the next update will come after one week - next Friday.

Bug fixes


  • Fixed the bug where razor gun sound was duplicating in Tournament mode.


Changes


  • Updated some sounds.
  • Corrected the name of Cooked Plum-plant item.
  • Changed descriptions of Magnet, Pot, Golden Heart items and Eye Mask artefact.
  • Crosshair will be seen as soon as the level appears if you play with mouse.
  • Changed what Lost Package item does.
  • Bosses now push away hearts on contact.


New


  • Now you can make a screenshot using F12 keyboard button. Now you can share screenshots with others.
  • Added new option “Run and Aim” in controls window. If this option is OFF, movement using gamepad or keyboard with No Mouse mode ON will have no affect for aiming.


Balance


  • Boss now drops at least 1 artefact after defeat.
  • Creep HP increased by 2.
  • The later you go to the boss, the bigger chance it will be stronger.
  • Enemies won’t attack players for some time after entering the level.
  • Increased a possibility for Idol item to give max HP instead of HP when player picks up a heart.
  • Adjusted delay between boss attacks. Bosses didn’t become weaker or stronger but the fight itself became faster. Now you should spend less time in boss fights as you will spend less time waiting for attacks.

Update 3 (v0.5.76)

Hello,

We took your feedback into consideration and made the changes to the game. More improvements will be in the future updates. If urgent fixes will not be needed we plan to have the next update this Friday.

Bug fixes:


  • Fixed a bug where the game view was not centred correctly if the display is not 16:9 (If someone has a display with super wide screen it would be great if you could confirm that game view is centred correctly).

 

Balance:


  • Increased the time interval when acid deals damage to enemies.
  • Adjusted Z index of Spawner egg. Now the egg should be seen when dead enemies cover them fully.
  • Zits now can spawn only hearts during boss fight.
  • Increased the number of enemies in Red Forest.
  • Increased HP and attack range for Jut.
  • Creep can now be damaged only if he’s not hiding.
  • Bushes won’t drop loot anymore, instead enemies will drop loot a bit more often.


Changes:


  • Now when bluebird takes damage he throws a bomb towards crosshair.
  • At game over window it is shown that you died from Lost package if you did so.
  • Because now bushes won’t drop any loot, Eye Mask artefact became ineffective. For that reason we changed what this artefact does and now it decreases weapon accuracy.


New:


  • Now the mouse will be locked in the bounds of game display playing in full screen mode (it’s very useful for those who play with several displays).
  • Crow in the shop will have an indication shown until you bring artefacts for the first time ever.

Update 2 (v0.5.75)

Here’s another small update with the following changes.

Bug fixes:

  • fixed the bug where the game crashes when both coop players are dead and some of them disconnected controller before the last player’s death.
  • fixed a bug where the game view is in wrong position when it’s minimised or alt tabbed.


Changes:

  • Adjusted Z index of coins and hearts so that it would stand out better.
  • More enemies are spawned in the areas with every loop.
  • Added an option to turn ON/OFF (F8 keyboard button) a tightened movement controls for gamepads ONLY. When it’s ON the text indicates “MOVEMENT SETUP 2”. It can be turned ON/OFF only when playing in levels. This is only temporary option.


Try both setups who play with gamepads and tell us what you think.

Update 1 (v0.5.74)

This is a small update based on the feedback that we've recently got.

Fixed bugs:
  • Fixed Torn Bag artefact description
  • In some occasions game crashes when the player dies
  • Game crashes when to players are standing on the same item and one player tries to pick it up


Balance:
  • Increased change that enemies (Spawner, Invisible Frog and Turnip) in the first area will drop coins and hearts
  • Decreased Spawner egg explosion damage by 1
  • Decreased Acid Zit contact damage by 1
  • Decreased HP for all the bosses by 20%
  • Added +1 HP and +1 max HP for all the heroes
  • Increased the time duration after which the hearts disappear
  • Increased the time duration after which the coins disappear

Blazing Beaks Early Access Officially Launched

We are very excited to finally show Blazing Beaks to everyone. More than 2 years til now were spent developing and polishing this game. We hope that you will enjoy playing Blazing Beaks as we do.

This is not the end of the journey but another step forward. We want to add more content and features. As this is just an Early Access version of the game, everyone can contribute to the game and make influence on game development process.
