Status Update #13
Hi everyone,
It's high-time we'd hold the constant stream of Imperium news for a bit and in the meantime quickly let you know we're still working on Blood & Gold.
Since the latest update we went through a lot of your feedback, and some of it proved to be very useful and insightful. As a result, a huge pack of fixes and various improvements are inbound (a better sail crew distribution and an animated compass needle, to name a few). There will also be a bit of a visual upgrade to the sea water's movement animation, hopefully you'll like it.
Special thanks to community contributor Tim Bender who took much of his time to provide a lot of information for improving the game.
You can expect the update to be released this month.

- Optimization for the "Arson ships" mission.

Update Notes (June 9)
Hi everyone,
Today we're releasing a new update 2.062 for Blood & Gold. Before listing the changes, we'd like to talk about one thing — and that is the calculation for parties in the boarding fights. This topic in constantly discussed, and we think we might have a solution for it now.
How do the boarding fights work in general? You have a ship's crew — sailors and gunners that take part in sea fights. And you have a boarding party, consisting of the army being on the ship plus volunteers that are willing to fight. When we attack an enemy ship with buckshot, first of all we kill sailors. Soldiers don't interfere with this process, sitting in the cargo hold. They can die too, but with a random chance and usually after the sailor crew is already wiped out.
To avoid this confusion we're now showing precise numbers of your boarding party during the fight. Just select an enemy ship and you'll see a new line below the usual data. Hopefully, this will spare players some unpleasant surprises.
Update notes 2.062:
- Added information regarding boarding party number on ships.
- Fixed incorrect times of day in some missions.
- City missions can now be played in new city locations.
- Fixed a bug causing missing ships in sea fights (if the problem persists, please make sure you're on the latest version and send us your dxdiag).
- Improved pathfinding on the strategic map once more (please let us know if you still experience this problem).
- Fixed problems with relations between receiving weekly report and getting captured in slavery.
- Fixed incorrect call of the coastguard menu after getting imprisoned.
- Fixed a bug with multiple governors' imprisonment in sea fights.
- Fixed a bug causing governors not hire any troops.

"All Hands Ahoy!" Free DLC released
Hi everyone,
"All Hands Ahoy!" free DLC is now released for all owners of the game.
This update brings a good question — what's so good about being a pirate? We got you covered with this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYeFYcNgm7U
Update notes for 2.060:
Added:
- Illegal horse races with no rules — ask Suspicious man about them if you're interested.
- Story campaign — pirate adventure about love, revenge, rise to power and killing Spanish governors.
- Unique city locations for each faction.
- Adult content in pirate taverns — be sure to turn it off, if you're playing with kids.
- City raids — if you need some money and have some thugs in your party, but you don't feel like risking everything for a siege attack, this is an option for you. Quickly raid a city, killing innocent people and grabbing everything of value.
- New interactions with ships in the sea — you can try trading with other ships or instigate a ship's crew to throw their officers overboard and join you as pirates.
- New multiplayer mode “Hunger Games”.
In order to start the story campaign from the latest update, there is a number of conditions:
– Have negative relationship with Spain.
– Have 0 or more relationship with Brotherhood of the Coast.
– Don’t be married and don’t fail the Governor’s daughter quest.
– Have the renown of 300 and more.
– Complete at least three missions (from governors or the Suspicious man).
After this, visit any non-pirate city.
Fixed:
- Removed numerous jamming points on the global map.
- Improved AI behavior in land sieges.
- Improved calculation algorithm for boarding parties.
- Added button for quick access to trading convoys.
- Fixed imbalance in prosperity for cities.
All Hands Ahoy! — May 27th
Hi everyone,
We finally set the release date for the upcoming free DLC, and contrary to our traditions, it's not even going to be moved. "All Hands Ahoy!" is coming out on May 27th — this we can guarantee.
Why don't we remind you what it's going to have inside:
- Every nation now has their own unique city location.
- Pirate settlements are getting more entertaining taverns than other colonies.
- If piratey leisure are in your way of playing with kids (or if you're not too fond of them), all players can set the option to filter out the adult content.
- Story campaign — about love, piracy and revenge.
- Illegal horse races with no rules.
- New multiplayer mode "Hunger Games".
Furthermore, apart from the new content, we continued fixing some bugs and different overlooks. In particular:
- Fixed a number of bugs causing problems with movement on the map.
- Improved economy — we tweaked general prosperity, so there are more poor cities in the game now.
- Improved interface — trading convoys menu can now be accessed from the map, without having to talk with Treasurer (if the convoy option is available to you).
- Fixed some errors in calculations for boarding parties.
We keep fixing some small bugs here and there, so this list can still be expanded in two weeks. Have a nice weekend!
Another teaser
Hi everyone,
So yes, to no one's surprise it's taking us awhile to get this DLC done — mostly because of the storyline mentioned in the previous post. So we thought we'd fill the air with this short gif showcasing new locations and more.
Enjoy!
Story Campaign
Hi everyone,
While reading the forums we noticed that some players missed the older story campaign, that was present in the original "Caribbean!". We also sometimes miss Jorge and Francois, who knows — maybe they'll be back some day? For now let us announce a brand new storyline that's going to be added in the upcoming DLC.
The DLC is generally about pirates, so this storyline is also connected with the pirate theme. As always, there's s woman involved. There will be assassinations, robberies and even the conflict between the United army of all colonial powers against the Brotherhood of the Coast.
This storyline is almost finished, however making story quests with Warband's engine is not an easy feat. So right now we're actively testing and fixing some problems along the way (story characters are fond of being captured or changing their faction).
Besides this, we also got ourselves a list of bugs that are especially annoying for players. Specifically, distribution of troops on ships during boarding fights. We'll do our best to deal with these troubles by the DLC's release.
