The next update will NOT find your previous existing characters and it LOAD/SAVE characters from a new directory. (your Windows personal folder)
Your existing characters are not deleted,however newer versions will not find previous existing characters without migrating them over to the new LOAD/SAVE directory first.
Once this is live... There will be a thread on the forum on how to copy files from the existing save folder to your windows personal folder usually something like... c:/users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData/Local/Dungeon/Saved/SaveGames/)
However it could be different on your system so...
If you are currently in a playthrough and would rather not fool around with moving/copying characters save files... you may want to TURN OFF AUTO UPDATES through steam so future updates wont disturb your current playthrough until you are ready to do the migration. (or start a new character) You can turn off updates by right clicking on Bloodlust: Nemesis in your steam library then "Updates"
The new version contains a new Sewer Random Dungeon... (a few new enemy types and ability to lower the strength of snakes in the sewer) but is not necessary to complete the game.
