Chat - We've color-coded the information that appears in the Chat, so it should now be easier to identify whats going on.
Lights - We've disabled the lights that the glowing mushrooms used to give when in your hand. You no longer can use a Lamparia, Plumparia, Curlaster or Berriaris as a source of light.
Server - You can now see when a player enters/leaves the server you're playing on.
Multiplayer is back up! - HOTFIX 13/05/2015
Our codemages pulled through and you can again connect to other peoples servers.
For those who still can't connect, it's probably because the Host does not have a router correctly configured, if this is the case please try the following:
- Change your NAT mode(to CONE) by turning on your Gaming Mode.
To turn on your gaming mode:
Go to your router control panel(usually by entering 192.168.1.254 on your internet browser)
Usually under the tools section, you should find something called the Gamer Mode
Turn it on!
- If you don't have a Gaming Mode on your router, you'll need to Port Forward to the following range: 22000-23000. If you don't know how to Port Foward, please check the following website : http://portforward.com/
NOTE: If you use Port Forwarding, the users will need to use Direct Connect.(Your public IP can be found in the "Escape" menu in-game.)
But that was not all we included in this Hotfix, so read below for the full list:
Help-Menu - We've included an In-game Help that you can bring up with the F1 key. So people should have a harder time feeling lost in Shrooms!
Throwing Animation - The Throwing function will now show an animation while charging.
Stamina Bar - You stamina bar will now flash when you try to do something that requires stamina but don't have enough to do it. This does not apply to swimming, so watch out for drowning!
Options Menu - We've finally added an Options menu and killed the default unity launcher. It's not the final options menu, but it's a start! You can change things like reflections, sensitivity, and the overall settings that you can fiddle with!
Lobby - We've added some more messages on the Lobby so you should now know when your server list is loading and a couple more error messages.
Oh and we've upgraded the Campire to Campfire!
Like always, tell us if anything comes up and see you guys on Friday!
People trying to connect to WAN-based (Internet) servers, may not be able to pass the loading screen, resulting in a need to forcebly shutdown the game.
To try and bypass this problem, you can try to use the Direct Connect option, altough in some cases it still might not work.
LAN-based servers are not being affected at the moment.
We're working to solve this and will post an update ASAP.
Thank you in advance for you consideration.

Shrooms Quick Guide
Hello everyone!
Since many people have been feeling lost upon entering Shrooms, we decided to share the guide we've been compiling! We intend to make a proper guide for everyone, here on Steam, but for the time being please use this one!
Once again, thank you for your dedication and support!
Early Access launch Patch - 08/05/2015
It's finally time to open the floodgates and let Shrooms grow!
Up until now the world was feeling a bit "empty" so we finally managed to add some places for you to discover! We also reworked our Panther and made a LOT of tuning on everything possible, so check down below for a list of what we added/changed/fixed this week!
New Features:
Decoration -> Rocks - Yes, something as simple as rocks. We felt that the world was feeling a "bit" empty so we decided to quickly add some rocks (Some of them are still missing a Diffuse texture, but we will try to add them next week!).
Why are rocks so important? Because we can make interesting places in the world for you to fight over and explore!
New places to explore - We've added a couple of places in the world for you to discover. Those places can be a cool place to make your stand against your enemies or survive the searing heat of the desert *hint*hint* among other things! If you manage to find them all take a picture and share it on the community hub for everyone to see! Also, if you have an idea of a place you think would look awesome in Shrooms, tell us!
Panther ReWork - We're constantly upgrading our visuals during the development so our feline friend was starting to feel a bit left out! New model, textures and animations have been done for the Panther.
Changes:
Stamina consumption - A lot of actions that we're not affecting stamina are now fixed. From jumping to shooting a bow, you now need to watch out for you stamina, you don't wanna be out of breath if a panther comes by!
Swimming - Swimming just got a whole lot deadlier. Make sure you're not tired if you go for a swim because it now drains your stamina and if get exhausted while on water you'll start sinking. To get your stamina back just stay still for a couple of seconds. When your stamina starts coming back you'll start ascending!
Mutations - All mutations have had their ability cooldowns, stamina costs and damage values all tuned so combat should feel more natural. Of course we're still far from the feeling we want with the combat so don't hesitate on giving us your input!
Hitboxes - We've enlarged all the hitboxes for most abilities and attacks it should be easier to hit something that's moving. Hitting a running Pantu is still something of a challenge. *Evil grin*
Crafting - All material costs have been changed to non-testing values so you no longer can make a campfire with just a stone and a stick! These are also bound to change when we continue implementing the crafting system.
New Patch - 01/05/2015
This is the first official update we're doing since we've launched the store page so we wanted to do something shinny!
Literally.
New features
Glowing fungi now actually emit light instead of just glowing! Yes, even the ones growing in the animals.
Because the night is dark and full of panthers, you now have movable light sources. You can craft a torch or carry glowing mushies to illuminate your path.
Action Bar! Because we hate opening the inventory each time we want to eat from our huge stack of tasty mushrooms as much as you do, we've "convinced" our programmers to push a action bar into the game.
Warning: There are a couple of known bugs, so use with care!
Fixes
Harvesting from trees, nodes and animals should now correctly play their respective animations.
You should now receive the correct item quality when harvesting/picking up something, and now just epic quality items. (Sorry!)
The Berserker head mutation is available again. You can get it by eating meat.
An item resulting from crafting should now display it's quality correctly.
The thorns effect from the Berserker chest mutation should now correctly damage panthers.
The Charge attack from the Tank legs mutation is now charged up by holding SPACE while crouching. Charging up will drain stamina accordingly.
The Charge should now work properly and not throw the user into outer space if it caught a ramp in it's path.
Gliding using the Creeper chest mutation now drains stamina.
Mutations that require activation have had they're Trip values adjusted. This should result in filling the Trip bar much faster if you spam your mutations.
You can now protect your server with a password.
This was it for this update folks but stay tuned because the Early Access is finally going live next week! Oh and videos from youtubers and streamers are starting to appear on the community hub so be sure to drop by and check out how they're playing the first versions of Shrooms!
