New Features



  • Random Quad Events
    - New game mode with randomly chosen, fully unlocked loadouts.
    - Earn stars from playing matches.
    - Unlock rewards by collecting stars before the event ends.
  • New Map: Star
    - Available in all ranked arenas.
  • Public Profiles
    - You can now tap on a player in the Hall of Masters leaderboard to see their profile and check out their medals, favorite towers and more.

General Changes



  • New bloon sends unlocked at round 30
    - 40 Tight Ceramics over 0.8 seconds, $4000, 0 eco
    - 4 Tight ZOMGs over 0.8 seconds, $10000, -400 eco
  • The Monkey Ace can now follow any of its flight paths in reverse
  • The following attacks can now be manually targeted for finer precision:
    - Monkey Engineer’s Cleansing Foam
    - Monkey Engineer’s Bloon Trap
    - Obyn’s Brambles
    - Obyn’s Wall of Trees

Balance Changes


Bloon Sends

  • Eco loss from sending MOAB class bloons reduced by 50% (e.g. sending BFBs results in -25 eco rather than -50).
  • The fortified modifier now doubles the eco loss from MOAB class bloons (e.g. sending fortified BFBs results in -50 eco rather than -25).
  • This means sending fortified MOABs now results in the same eco loss as sending regular MOABs prior to this update.

  • xx3 Crossbow Monkey: $575 -> $525

Boomerang Monkey

  • 5xx Glaive Lord: main attack damage 1 -> 8

Bomb Shooter

  • 302 Really Big Bombs: frag damage increased 1 -> 3
  • 302 Really Big Bombs: increase number of frags 8 -> 12
  • 402 Bloon Impact: frag pierce increased +1
  • 402 Bloon Impact: increase number of frags 8 -> 16

  • Level 3 Good Vibes: Ability cooldown increased from 30s to 45s
  • Level 3 Good Vibes: Ability duration decreased from 8s to 6s
  • Level 13: Good Vibes ability cooldown reduces to 35s and duration reduced from 11s to 8s
  • Level 19: Good Vibes ability duration reduced from 11s to 9s
  • Level 10 Beatdown: Ability now affects 10 strongest bloons on screen (up to BFB) rather than all bloons on screen.

  • Fixed Banana Farm abilities not contributing to money counter
  • Fixed Dart Monkey’s Triple Darts not working if upgraded while transformed using Super Monkey Fan Club
  • Fixed Universal XP icon showing on tower masteries list when upgrades are affordable without it.

  • Fixed incorrect messaging when trying to match with a player on an older version of the game.

Update 1.2.2 - Patch Notes!

Update 1.2.2 is now rolling out with some bug fixes:

  • Fixed abilities being unusable if activated during Ben’s Biohack cooldown.
  • Fixed Dartling’s Rocket Storm ability not continuing if it was interrupted by Benjamin’s Biohack.
  • Fixed Dartling not targeting properly while Benjamin’s Biohack cooldown is active.
  • Fixed crash with Quincy’s exploding arrow.
  • Fixed hero upgrade costs being incorrect for a brief window after upgrading.
  • Fixed Dartling Gunner sometimes following the cursor even if the mouse isn’t clicked (Desktop only).

Update 1.2.1 is now rolling out, fixing the following issues:

  • Fixed sync issues caused by DJ Benjammin’
  • Fixed issue where switching to an older version of the game could cause a Dart Monkey to be selected as your hero.
  • Fixed issue where purchasing an upgrade or mastery item with only Universal XP would not deduct the Universal XP from your balance

Battles 2 Update 1.2 is live now - NEW HERO, UNIVERSAL XP & more!


New Features



  • New Hero: Benjamin
    - Earn Benjamin points to unlock DJ Benjammin’
  • Universal XP
    - Earn Universal XP alongside Tower XP from playing games and opening chests.
    - You can use Universal XP to supplement Tower XP when buying any upgrades or mastery items.
    - Convert unwanted Tower XP into Universal XP using Monkey Money
  • You can now send Emotes to your opponent in the lobby and after the game is over.
  • You can now preview cosmetic items before you buy them using the preview button on the item.
  • The private matches screen now has a button to show matches that have been created on your local network so you can join them without needing a match code.
  • Multitouch is now supported on compatible devices. You can now place and upgrade towers, fire abilities, and send emotes without having to interrupt your stream of eco.

  • The Ports and Inflection maps can now appear in Casual mode and can be selected in Private Matches. They will still only appear in ZOMG Superdome and Hall of Masters in Ranked mode.

New Features



  • New Hero: Captain Churchill
    - Earn Churchill Points to unlock Sentai Churchill
  • 2 New Maps for ZOMG Superdome and Hall of Masters (ranked games only): Ports and Inflection
  • You can now choose whether to play a Ranked or Casual game. In Casual games:
    - Wins and losses do not affect trophies or ranking in Hall of Masters
    - There are no restrictions on upgrade tiers
    - No Battle Points, Monkey Money or chests are earned for winning
    - You earn XP and Hero Points as normal
  • Added display to the Win/Lose message to show what caused the win (Natural DDT, Opponent’s Rainbow, opponent surrendered, etc)

General Changes



  • All Tier 5 upgrades now cost 50% less XP to unlock (e.g. Plasma Monkey Fan Club for Dart Monkey costs 11,000 XP instead of 22,000 XP)
  • Hero XP Changes
  • Increased XP gained per round in game
  • Adjusted XP amounts needed to level up in game
  • Changes to the Chest conflict screen to improve clarity

Bloons TD Battles 2 Update 1.0.6 is now live!

The long-awaited 1.0.6 update is now rolling out on iOS, Android & Steam! Once again, we'd like to apologise for the time this update has taken and want to reiterate that this length of time between patches will not be the norm going forward. Thank you for bearing with us!

Battles 2 Update 1.0.2 is now live!

First of all, thanks to all of you who have downloaded and played Battles 2 so far! We're so excited to finally share this game with you all and make it more awesomer! We also appreciate all of the feedback you've provided regarding tower XP. So much so that it has encouraged us to make some changes early on. When we did our internal tests, the XP grind didn't feel too extreme to us, but as is often the case with new games, some things just don't become as clear as when they're out in the wild. With that said, here are some changes we're making in the next patch to hopefully help with this:

Balance Changes



  • Increased Tower XP and Hero Points earned from all games
  • Further increased Tower XP and Hero Points earned from losses and draws
  • All towers now start with 222 upgrades unlocked (XP spent on these upgrades will be refunded)
  • Increased Monkey Money, Hero Points and Tower XP given from Battle Chests
  • Increased duration and drop chance of Reward Multipliers from chests.
  • Increased Battle Point costs to open Battle Chests
  • Alchemist - Unstable concoction explosions do more damage if the MOAB affected was fortified.

Bug fixes



  • Fixed Monkey Engineer Ultra-boost ability not applying
  • Fixed tower mastery notification icon display issue
  • Fixed empty and “unknown” emote slots in game
  • Fixed Post game screen showing increasing trophies from Hall of Masters games
  • Fixed occasional display issue for Necromancer’s reanimated bloons
  • Fixed Sudden Death starting early in certain circumstances.
  • Fixed crash from pressing the unlock upgrade button too rapidly during the tutorial
