A creature native to the ice world of Zeroth, the Stinger has evolved to protect its kind at the expense of the individual. The Stinger explodes when approached, firing spiky ice projects in all directions. If hit, Bombshell will temporarily lose her abilities.
Planet Zeroth
A world covered in ice, Zeroth is home of the Nhorr - an ancient undead warrior race dedicated to protecting a mysterious energy that resides within the planet’s core. This energy is believed to perpetuate their eternal existence.
It’s also believed that should this energy be extracted, it could generate unimaginable power. The Nhorr are said to act as an immune system for Zeroth, repelling foreign forces regardless of their intentions.
The Abomination Lord of Rhek'en
A colossal creature situated in the base of an abandoned tomb on Kyrron, the Abomination is believed to be a result of the harsh conditions of its homeworld. Fossils suggest the creature has shed its outer shell over thousands of years, growing larger each time. Although its role within Kyrron’s ecosystem is unknown, GDF scientists believe that the Abomination is a lone occurrence - a freak of nature produced by the Great Catastrophe.
Rhek'en Conqueror
The Rhek’en Conqueror is considered to be the mother of Rhek’en due to her ability to spawn Drift Bruisers. The Conqueror is a fierce fighter in its own right, with a heavy melee attack and a grapple maneuver that crushes its target with four large tentacles.
Rhek'en Scamper
Just like most of the Rhek’en collective, Scampers have the ability to fire acid. Though its size and stature relegates them to foot soldiers, the Rhek’en Scamper is not to be underestimated, as they posses a balance of speed and power that it's kin lack. Even on its worst day, the typical Scamper can go toe to toe with several GDF soldiers and win.
Drift Bruiser
Spawned by the Rhek’en Conqueror, Drift Bruisers are small, fly-like creatures with vampiric tendencies. Besides extracting blood from their victims, Bruisers will sacrifice themselves to protect the Conqueror, exploding into a pool of deadly acid on impact.
When acting as retrievers for their Conqueror, Drift Bruisers use their acid to mark notable locations for later access by their host. They also use their acid to breakdown material for consumption. GDF reports tell of missing weapons with pools of acid in their place, suggesting that Conqueror’s can consume almost anything once it has been corroded.
Rhek'en Diver
The smallest of the Kyrr predators, the Rhek’en Diver is a fast, agile foe capable of closing ground on even the most alert rival in seconds. They are considered specialists in close-quarters combat large in part to their bite attack, which is said to penetrate even the toughest armor. They can also move underground to later launch a surprise assault.
Their cellular adaptations allow them to extract nutrients directly from Kyrron’s mineral-rich rock, allowing them to remain buried for prolonged periods of time as they await the perfect opportunity to attack. Once a Diver perceives a threat it will remain hidden to position itself for the perfect strike, even if it takes weeks or months.
Bombshell to Release January 29, Digital Deluxe Edition Details
Dear Bombshell fans,
We’re so honored and encouraged by all the incredible support you’ve shown us over the years - especially these last few months leading up to Bombshell’s launch. Meeting so many of you at incredible events like QuakeCon and PAX has been a dream come true for a small team like ours!
Over the last several weeks, we’ve been exhaustively testing Bombshell to get it ready for ship. Unfortunately, and honestly, the game isn’t entirely bug free at this point. Our first instinct was to just get this puppy out-the-door, and that we could fix the remaining issues with a quick patch after launch. But within ten seconds we realized that’s no way to treat paying fans of our games.
As painful as this is to say, we’ve made the command decision to move our release date out a bit. This will give us the time to polish the game that we know you all deserve, and the team here is raring to put in the hours necessary and get sh*t done! Bombshell will release on Windows PC on both Steam and GOG.com on January 29, 2016. We’ll be offering two packages - the Standard Edition for $34.99 USD, and a Digital Deluxe Edition for $39.99 USD. What’s inside the Digital Deluxe Edition is detailed in the image below.
We’re so fortunate to be working with such understanding partners at 3D Realms who support our vision and creativity. We all want to get this game into your hands just as badly as you do, and we truly appreciate all your continued support as we polish this bomb-shell up!
Ruthlessly yours,
- Team Interceptor
