Hey Guys,
The new and improved 3.0 version is on its way! (nightmare edition). We have created an official Facebook page as a way to update fans on the progress, there will also be occasional giveaways. Join us on:

3.0 Update has started.
3.0 will include the house been fully decorated and polished. (It's very white-washy, and bland right now) It will look just as nice as the bedroom for 3.0
One man team to a Four man team.
A concept artist, character artist, animator, and myself will now be working on the game leading up to the 3.0 update.
VR Stand-alone will be the priority. The game will be 100% VR compatible. Absolutely nothing will be compromised to create a fully immersive VR experience. No more 2D UI, absolutely everything will work in VR.
The game is going to be polished into a diamond.
Dates can not be given at this time, however I will try to keep you updated best I can.
The game as it stands I feel is nice, and people really seem to enjoy it. I really do see a lot more potential, and I want to make that happen.

Mac Support
I'm not giving up on mac. I am however putting it on hold for now until the game is 100% finished.
I believe I can get a mac version running just as well as on windows. It's not a 100% sure thing yet though. I'll put my energies into mac support as soon as the game is locked down.
Right now VR, and polishing the game is the priority.
There has already been vast improvements made in terms of visuals, and game-play.
I expect the game to be finished sometime in April.

How to skip nights.
Okay so I realise a lot of you probably have played the game before, and your old saves are gone. If you would like to 'explore the house' but skip the bedroom nights, then use this hot key.
"Press L, and within 5-10 seconds the night will skip to the next. Go into options and choose skip house exploration, and simply re-enable it when you're up to where you last were."
2.02 + 2.03
2.03
• Brightness slider now included in the video options menu.
• Save Game notifications to let you know when your game has saved successfully.
• Fixed the skip tape noise bug (where you could keep pressing it).
• Skip house exploration now in the options menu.
2.02
• Ending cut scene bug fixed.
• Light switches will now always be visible in the dark.
• Flashlight and items shimmer (Makes it a little easier to know what is a pickup and not)
• Cassette tapes shimmer (people keep ignoring them? use them on the tape recorder in the living room to hear the rest of the story).
Darkness issue for some users.
Update:
Boogeyman requires a Direct X11 compatible graphics card in order for eye adaptation to work. Direct x11 is listed as a minimum requirement for the game.
If your graphics card does not support DX11. You will experience extremely dark nights while exploring the house as the house exploration lighting relies heavily on eye adaptation. You can however still play the standard game mode just fine. Simply turn off explore house in the options.
(This option is currently not working, this will be patched later today)
Priority list:
Brightness slider in options.
Fix skip explore house option not working.
Resolve achievements not been registered.
Fast and easy tutorial to explain the new features more clearly.
If anyone has any issues, even if you don't think it's very big, let me know.

2.01
• Fixed menu UI not showing up during house nights.
• Fixed medium settings turning the house pitch black.
• Included a “skip house exploration” button for those of you who just want the ‘classic’ experience.
2.0 - Yes It's finally here!
Explore the house each night before you bunker down in your room for the nightly defence against the Boogeyman. The Boogeyman however will still be lurking around the house waiting for you to walk into that one dark room unaware.
Each night you must find your flash-light that you have left somewhere around the house. Stay in the light and turn light switches on as much as possible, staying in the dark is dangerous.
• Hold F to open doors, and peek inside, make sure to let go and slam it as fast as you can if you see him waiting for you in there, or his hands begin to wrap around the door.
• Find hidden cassette tapes around the house, and use them on the tape recorder in the living room. Revealing a very different story to the bedroom tapes.
• Explore and discover notes / books and clues around the house.
You may also find useful items around the house to aid you during the night in your room:
• Coffee will temporarily make time seem to pass faster. Using it when you’re close to the end of the night and low on battery will surely be a life saver.
• Cherry bombs can be used when you’re in a pinch, giving you them few precious seconds of safety to look under the bed after letting one off to scare the Boogeyman away.
• Glow sticks can be placed around the room to help you see the darker corners of your room. Helping you to see much more clearly without relying on your flashlight.
• Fully working difficulty system: The Boogeyman will now move much more slowly… or faster depending on the difficulty. Your battery meter colour will indicate what difficulty setting you are on. Blue = Easy, Green = Medium, Red = Hard.
• The game has been optimised even more, for a smoother experience.
1.2.7 Information galore
• VR menu issues resolved
• Subtle visual polish
• Slight changes to tutorial
• 2.0 update ‘under the hood’ preparation
This was mainly a VR update. VR will no longer have menu buttons. When you use VR it will boot straight into the game. When you complete a night it will go right onto the next, no more finicky menu buttons. If you need to change any settings, please do so in standard mode, all settings will be saved for when you boot up in VR. To exit VR and quit the game, press ALT + Enter.
VR will get its very own balanced version of the game. It’s understandably much more difficult using a VR headset, and I will make sure the gameplay adjusts accordingly to take this into account in future updates. VR right now is more of a fun extra, and certainly changes the way you play the game. It would be unfair to keep certain aspects for VR users. I’ll make sure it’s enjoyable, with a balance of challenge and enjoyably.
Future update info
• 2.0 will be out hopefully in early January. (50% more gameplay / story)
• Nightmare mode, and achievements will follow soon after. (2-3 weeks)
• Finishing touches will be made, and the game declared finished. (This will not be rushed)
• Language support for Russian, German, Brazil, French, and Polish. (Subtitles, or fully dubbed)
2.0 will feature a full house to explore and interact with. New gameplay mechanics with story content is also included that will reveal the full backstory to the origins of the Boogeyman... and many secrets Alicia and Elle have been hiding. I will keep the rest of the surprises hush until release. I will just say that there is enough content been added that it could have been made into a large DLC pack or Boogeyman 2 sequel game in itself. I was strongly advised to do just that. I made a promise, which was that all updates to this game will forever be free. This will never change, rest assured. I have now publicly confirmed this.
