D-5 before Early Access release! Let's talk about the characters.

Hey fellow oultaws,

It’s D-5 before the EA release and I thought it was about time I introduce you properly to the cast of Bounty of One. Let’s start with the one and only Serra.



“After an incident that left her orphan, Serra had to survive by herself. She quickly realized that she had unparalleled proficiency with bows and crossbows and soon made a name for herself as quite the efficient bounty hunter.
Eventually, she was hired as a hitwoman by the undertaker. She took any kind of jobs, ethics had nothing to do with survival. However, she eventually grew tired of this way of life and decided to quit. But the Undertaker is not one to let his subordinates leave, she knew much and he did not want any loose end. The undertaker put a bounty on Serra’s head and she who was once the hunter became the prey.
Now, all Serra wants is to break free of the bounty on her head but not before she can take down the undertaker!”

Serra is the ranger archetype of the game, she is the first character you’ll encounter in the game and as such, is the one with whom you will learn to play. For that reason, she comes with good overall stats but, unlike the rest of the cast, has no weapon. However, manage to win a game in infamy 15 with her and you will obtain her starting weapon, the bowgun. A magical crossbow that raises your attack speed (up to 2x) when you stay still for long enough.

As the kiting professional, she will benefit mostly from Attack damage, Attack speed, Crit chance. Give her some move speed and an additional dash or too and you should be ready for any situation.

Patch 0.6: Last steps until Early Access!

Hey fellow outlaws!

This is it! The final sprint to the Early Access release is upon us!



In this update, we decided to focus on giving our player some quality of life improvements. In order to do so, we implemented some features that had been requested for a while.

First, we added the possibility to rebind controls from the settings panel. This required use to slightly change the default controls. For example, the key used to confirm in the menus is now the same as the one used to dash in the game. However, these changes allowed us to implement the keyboard fragmentation system. This system allows you to bind controls for up to 4 players on the same keyboard. In turn, this will allow you to play through remote play or locally with up to 3 friends on the same keyboard. No controller needed anymore for multiplayer through remote play!

Second, following multiple requests, we implement the redemption system. It allows you to customize your experience to make your experience easier. Using this option will however disable your ability to generate scores and obtain successes. Be it to relax, train or because the game seems too hard for you, this option is now yours to use.

Finally, we made a few changes to the overall balance of the game.

Second boss can no longer kill you during its death animation.

Balancing



Mole men do not appear in infinite mode anymore.
Darth Mole can still appear in infinite mode.

Legendary Cooldown Reduction upgrade has been removed.
Epic Cooldown Reduction upgrade has been updated : 20% ->15%

Nitro Suit now pushes enemies away as well as inflicts its damage.

Early Access only
Balancing of the following enemies's life:
- Golem Tier 3 500 -> 700 HP
- Hommes-taupes 250 -> 400 HP
- Gobelins Tier 3 200 -> 300 HP

Bug fixes



Fixed a bug where enemy projectiles would go through the player instead of disappearing on hit.
Fixed a display bug with bosses' lifebars.

Fixed a bug where second boss was extremely slow

Visual improvements



"Hover" type buttons added for UI in menus.
New coin drops added.
Player death animations added.

Hello fellow outlaws,

At the moment, we are super busy with creating the second boss of the game and the next character. We hope to introduce them to you soon but it just isn't the right time yet. However here is a preview of what you can expect.


WIP : he is not in the game yet.

While you wait for this explosive character to arrive, we decided to focus this update on solving a few bugs that had been hanging around, improving our player's quaity of life and implementing a new system. This is why you can see the new reroll system implemented into the as well as a few new settings.

Following the theme of the reroll mechanic, we added three new items that I will let you discover further down this thread.

Mole men nerf :
- Mole men won't throw their projectiles as soon as they appear anymore but when their attack cooldown is ready.
- Mole men HP has been changed from 200 to 150 for regular mole men and 1500 to 1000 for deputies.

Mighty Mezcal staff (Ollin's starting weapon) :
- Cooldown reduction bonus : -40% -> -30%
- Secondary projectiles amount : 12 -> 10

Patch 0.4: Dynamite Fiesta!

Hello fellow outlaws,

First, as we said before, it is important for us to listen to you and your feedbacks. Therefore, in this update, we've focused our attention on something that has been brought up many times and that we thought important to fix: the game's memory usage. It took a while and we still have some work to do but we felt comfortable enough to share our improvements with you all.

Secondly, as we've been working on the second boss, we have decided to share its minions with you. Say hello to the mole men and their love for explosives! They are great at digging but not so much at aiming but again, who needs to aim when you throw dynamites!



Thirdly, we have reworked how the dash objects will work within the game astheir were a bit underwhelming at the moment. Essentially, most dash related objects will give you an additional dash slot but we got rid of the rare dash slot upgrade. This should boost dash related builds while giving you more chance to get arguably better rare upgrades.

Lastly, we added 2 more objects to the pool, we could not leave you hanging! I hope you'll like them!

Drop a dynamite before each dashes, it explodes after {A} seconds. Also gain {B} dash stock.

Hello fellow outlaws,

You’ll be happy to hear that a new character is now available. Be kind to our newcomer: Nigel!
If you haven’t played the game yet, you will have to unlock him. You might find some info as to how in the achievements’ descriptions… ;)

In this update, Serra comes with an updated look and an unlockable surprise for the battle hardened players. I will leave it as a surprise for now but achievements seem to know a lot about it.

Finally, we have decided to reset the leaderboard as the impact of new objects, characters and mechanics migth heavily change it. Let's see what you're capable of!
