This is it! The final moment has come! Bounty of One is out of Early Access!
As always, I’d like to start by thanking all of you out there! Being able to come this far would not have been possible without you continued support! It is your achievement as much as it is ours! We never thought we would be able to come this far, it is only our second game to be fair and, after all, we came all the way from this…

Now let’s start with the juicy bit of today’s announcement: What’s new in the game on release? For those who joined the public beta version, you might already be familiar with some of those but, for the others, let me tell you what you can expect!
First, we rebuilt the way the Super Black Market works in the game. As many of you requested, you will now be able to use the Super Black Market without being locked out unlocking achievements and posting highscores! To make the SBM somewhat balanced however, we changed some of the perks it gives you (check out the changes within the content section) and, most importantly, we created a real challenge for you to overcome: The Necromancer’s Pact!
The release officially introduces the Necromancer’s Pact, a cursed piece of paper that will allow you to skyrocket the infamy level up to 50 (instead of the previous maximum of 18). Up to infamy level 10 your progression in the game is similar than it previously was(though level 10 is now effectively as hard as level 18 used to be). From then on out, however, you’ll be able to choose your difficulty by allowing points in the pact, you create your own challenge with thing as crazy as “Enemies’ projectiles now bounce up to 2 times on the side of the screen'' or “Enemies’ life increases by 150% every time you kill a sheriff”. Get ready for a challenge!
Secondly, for those who haven’t seen her yet, Ruthless Ruth charges into the deserted lands surrounding Greenhills and her loyal “children” follow in her footsteps, the Bully Brawlers! Get ready for an epic fight!
Thirdly, we added three new tabs in the encyclopedia! For those who like lore, you’ll be able to learn about each enemy’s type in the game as well as read the backstory of each character. The last tab is the credits, can’t release without a proper credit menu :)
Fourthly, we also added 3 new languages: Korean, Japanese and Spanish. We also updated all the languages that were already available. We did our best to try and translate all of them properly but we can only do so much, we are not polyglots unfortunately. If you’d like to help us improve the translations or even just share your feedbacks and ideas, feel free to join our discord and reach out directly to us! We welcome any help!
We also made the game for Linux and Mac.
Finally, we also added 3 new objects and 14 new achievements. Discover them in the game or in the contents below!
To wrap things up, as usual, we fixed some bugs, balanced a few things, improve some visuals and sounds, you know the drill. You can read the full patch note below.

New Objects
Pistorang: A pistorang constantly spirals around you. It inflicts your damage to enemies it goes through and shoots at your current attack speed.
Lucky Star: Gain an immunity to enemy damage each time you level up. The immunity lasts for 5 seconds. You gain 50% move speed and inflict damage to enemies you go through while it lasts.
Counterfeit Gold Nugget: Before dashing, toss a fake gold nugget to attract enemies, enemies in its range gain +50% movement speed and drop twice the coins. It lasts for 5 seconds. Gain 1 dash. +5 sec base dash cooldown.
New infamy system
The Necromancer Pact replaces infamy levels after level 10. You can now climb to infamy level 50 thanks to it!

How to join the public beta

The Necromancers Pact
Giving you more options to get stronger would not be fun without a challenge to overcome. That’s why we decided to revamp the Infamy system. Basically, from level 0 to 10, your experience will be similar to the current state of the game. After Infamy 10 is where the real fun begins however, from here on out, you will be introduced to the Necromancer’s Pact!
In this menu, you’ll be able to choose the difficulty you inflict upon yourself and things will quickly get out of hand with some crazy run modifiers. Some examples may include: - Increase the number of foes trying to catch you by 30/60/100% - The drop rate of hearts is reduced by 50/75/90/95/100% - etc.
Get ready to face Infamy difficulties well above the current level 18.
The New Super Black Market
➸ Fist of all, The Super Black Market won’t stand in your way of achieving these awesome achievements and scores in the game.
To allow for that, we rebalanced it a bit since it previous version was a bit over the top otherwise, it will still be way stronger than the normal black market but not in a way that trivializes the game. Here are some modifiers that are included include: - Enemies have 5/10/15/20/25/30% chance of dropping coins twice - Mythic upgrades have a very low chance of appearing in level up choices. - etc.
Don’t worry, the new Super Black Market will have your back as soon as you clear Infamy 11. / Those two steps should allow for a more delightful experience overall. It doesn’t trivialize the game, but it provides exciting challenges and lets high-score achievers show off their talents.
How to join the public beta:

Come, sit down next to the fire, let's talk for a bit.
As always, thanks for all your feedback, they are incredibly important for us to move in the right direction! We’ve heard your voices regarding the recent update we made to the Super Black Market. and we are already working on changing it to fit your desires. But before I get into the specifics, let me start with another big news!
The development of Bounty of One is slowly getting to its final state and its full release is drawing near. Therefore, Bumpty and I have been talking a lot and, given all the changes we still want to make and the content we wish to add, we decided to halt the updates until the full release. We will, however, still update the Beta branches once we’re happy with the upcoming features and, if you want to assist us in the final stages before the release, please play on the Beta branches and let us know what you think, again, your feedbacks are precious!
Now let’s get back to the main subject at hand: The problem with the Super Black Market as a Redemption option. As it stands, we understand that the way it works makes you feel like you're cheating at the game and that we’re locking you out of content as it doesn’t allow you to either get achievement or post you highscore. We realize that we might have been too adamant in our game design decisions regarding that and we’ve since changed our minds.
We will change the Super Black Market and allow players to use it to gather both achievement and scores.
The way we will implement this change however requires two steps, let me get you through them. ➵ By the way, if you want the future content to remain a surprise on launch day, here is a

First thing first, step one. In its current state, the Super Black Market cannot just be available from the get go, it is just too absurdly crazy powerful (but again, it was originally intended as somewhat of a sandbox mode). Therefore, we will rebalance it a bit, it will still be way stronger than the normal black market but not in a way that trivializes the game. Here are some modifiers that it might include: - Start with an Epic chest if you kill a Boss in your previous run - Get up to 2 Banish Re-roll for objects - etc.

We're back with another new update and you're in for a treat in this one!
Before we dive into all the juicy details, we'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who's been testing the new objects in the BETA. Thanks to all your amazing feedback, they have been added to the main branch for everyone to enjoy.
We know some of you are curious about why our updates are taking longer than usual. As we mentioned last week, we want to be able to test out new features a bit more before releasing them, and, therefore, updates will come every 3 weeks instead of our usual 2. You will however be given the chance to try out incoming features one week in advance on the Public Beta Branch. That way, we can collect your feedback and fine-tune the new features as precisely as we can.
Now let’s jump into the update. Another big change to the game is the Super Black Market, we understand that some of you have not understood our idea about it but no worries we hear you and we have received your feedback.
We understand that the upgrades seem underwhelming and some of them are very expensive while the benefit of them doesn’t feel worth it. To give you some context the goal from the super black market was always to be somewhat of sandbox mode where you can fully break the limits of the game and have a relaxing run while allowing you to spend your leftover gold nuggets. We get that we might have been too shy with its perks. So, we have changed the bonuses, it will get wild really quick, as you’ll see and we hope you’ll enjoy it.
We also still believe that achievements should remain something challenging for players and only achievable by those who want to work for them. The Super black market will still limit your ability to get achievements but I am sure you all can do it!
➵ By the way, we’re also resetting the leaderboard after every update from now on. This is your opportunity to start fresh and show off your skills in the game to earn your spot on the leaderboard.
One last thing before you go, we have added a new tab on the Encyclopedia for upgrades, this should help you develop a better understanding of the game.
