What is the current state of the Early Access version?

Box Maze will be ready to be release within the next 24 hours :D
I would like to just give a quick list of what you can expect in game.
“Day 1 Early Access Features:
1. 30 levels for both single player and coop game modes.

Almost Time!!
Box Maze is in the final stage of development before release in early access.
We currently have 30 levels that we have had full focus on and have been played over and over again by our testers and tweaked to the best possible early access experience we can offer, we may release 35 levels on launch but right now we prefer to keep it at 30 levels and are focused on other aspects in the game, we aim at having 0 bugs on release and full awesome game play as well as the Steam achievements and Trading cards in full working order, currently their are hidden rooms in a lot of the levels which will bring a fun aspect to the game, once the game releases we recommend finding them, trying to break the codes and share your achievements with your friends and become the ultimate box hunter soon ;)

Hi Peeps :)
I would like to first personally thank you for showing interest in Box Maze, I want to give a run down of the current game build and also answer some questions that have come up during the pre Steam testing.
Why does the game not have checkpoints? We found that most people die in the middle of a level and not so much towards the beginning or the end, adding checkpoints will act as a saved game once you reach a new level, instead we are using a simple save game feature, you can simply save your game at any moment with F1 and load back with the L key. If you feel checkpoints will be a better option please feel free to contact us.
Why no controller support ? As the game is being developed in South Africa it is extremely hard to get a Steam Controller and without one testing would be impossible, X-box control support is being added once the game is in early access but at this moment we feel adding additional levels and getting the core of the game ready is priority, X-box controll support may be added before early access but no promises.
Why do some levels have multiple doors? The game tests your patience at times and some doors will be fake, its like being faced with the option of two paths, one is correct and the other is incorrect.
Why do only blue blocks die when I jump on their heads? This is a feature that will be worked on based on community feedback, there are options and depending on what the community prefer thats what will be implemented into early access, there will be a wider variety of enemies with new abilities as well in the future but for now we have pink's, green's, blue's, red's and yellow's
Current build enemy details Pink:
This enemy is medium speed and moves horizontal, they are there to test your patiences and make you think a little before taking them on.
Green:
This enemy is the same as a pink, the only difference is it moves vertically
Blue:
This enemy is a very low level enemy, it can be killed by simply jumping on its head, however running into it will kill the player, killing this enemy will give your character a jump boost (best used to reach platforms that you are unable to jump to normally)
Red:
This is the current big boy, he is the fastest enemy and can not be killed, any contact with him will kill the player. He is also the main enemy who will play a major part in the story line that is currently being worked on.
Yellow:
Little is known about this enemy or if he even is an enemy.
All we know is he does not like company and keeps his distance, he can be found in secret levels and will reward the player a Steam achievement based on your interaction with him.
What are the controls? Once you start Box Maze you will be given options on the main menu, one of these options are the controls option, simply hit select this option with the enter key and a list of advance controls will be displayed.

The Hunt: Coming Soon (But wait, there's more)
Attention all boxes!!!
The hunt is coming, get ready to find and kill the yellow box (pretty original name right?) anyways where was I, Oh yeah....
Get ready to hunt and destroy that sick yellow faced little square box that thinks he is soooooo cool, do this for the sake of all boxes out there and be rewarded with an awesomely cool RARE "Yellow Slayer" Steam Achievement.
But wait there's more!!!!!!
He isn't the only thing hiding in the world of Box Maze, discover secrets and hidden rooms to get rewarded with a Steam Achievement for each hidden room you encounter, share your discovered secrets with friends and family and get them to do your dirty work as you convince them to unravel the mysteries each room has to offer.

Steam Achievement Update
Hi Peeps.
Just a quick one, Steam Achievement are currently being focused on and will be available upon release.

Closed Beta Version 1.1 Patch Notes.
Added background music. (Volume controls and sound effects coming soon) For this build to lower the sound please adjust it by right clicking on your sound icon in your system tray (bottom right of your screen) and lowering the sound on Box Maze.
Lowered the movement speed of Red enemies.
Red enemies now restart the room instead of killing you (same as green and pink).
Added platforms to level 5 to reduce waiting time for moving platforms.
Levels have been moved around.
Previously level 7 has been moved to level 3 and difficulty has been reduced.
Theme will change after every 5th level.
Added weather, rain has been added and snow will be added at a later stage.
Steam cloud has been added (Save games will be backed up on the Steam server).
Secret Easter egg rooms with a hidden message has been added.
May contain some bugs :P
Ps. Save game have been wiped due to level changes, pressing L to load a previous game will cause an error, you will need to begin at the start and save a new game.

Closed Beta Keys Are All Out + Quick Update on the Game.
Thank you to everyone who requested a beta key for pre release testing, we have run out of keys and we did receive more request's than expected.
I am hoping to have an exact release date within the next week or so but so far we will release on 30 September 2016 (Hopefully even before then).
This week we will be working on adding in game sound's and additional levels, as well as some tweaks to existing levels, Fay (our graphics designer) is back after being away in London for a month and she will also start working on the game graphics, trading cards, background, emoticons and all those fancy things that she does so well :)
Release date will then depend on how many levels the community will want before Early Access but remember even after the Early Access release we will be adding more levels weekly, our goal is to have hundreds of levels available to the player before we can move from Early Access into a full release, right now our plan is minimum 30 and not more than 50 levels before Early Access.
