[GENERAL]
- Massively improved UI performance (you should see frame rate increases of 100 - 200 FPS!)
- Added a "Hold to Attack" option to settings

- Enemies can now have their own custom gore effects

[UI]
- Added new logo to starting screens

- Crafting will now scroll correctly at GUI scales other than 1x and 2x
- Profile portraits now draw gear in the correct order
- Damage floats now show a negative number for when an entity takes damage
- Renamed DEF to STA in profile

[CONTENT - NEW]
- New mount: Fishing Boat (allows you to move on Water)

- New craftable Buddy: Minty. **This is an exclusive item being given as a thank you for participating in the Closed Beta. It will no longer be available to earn after the Closed Beta has ended.**

[CONTENT - CHANGES]
- Reduced the max Level cap to 25 (previously 100)
- Rebalanced spells: Spells now cost significantly less mana
- You no longer passively gain health during combat
- You now only gain 1 Mana p/s when in combat
- You now gain 15 Mana p/s and 10 HP p/s when out of combat
- All spells now require a Blank Scroll to be crafted
- Scroll of Fire now requires 20x Essence of Corruption to be crafted
- The Vial of Oasis Water now only gives +1 Mana. This is a temporary change until we add in a per-item cooldown system.


[SERVER]
- Fixed an issue that caused the server to require a restart after crafting recipes were updated

Closed Beta 1.0.5

[GENERAL]
- You no longer need to hold down an attack key to attack in that direction (you stop attacking when moving UNLESS an attack key is being held)
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Eagle mount to not be visible
- Fixed an issue that was causing aggro lines to not be shown between enemies and the player they were targeting
- Fixed an issue that was allowing players to walk over mobs

[UI]
- Fixed crafting not scrolling in irregular window sizes
- Your inventory will no longer open when entering the crafting window
- The crafting window now resets when closed

[CONTENT - CHANGES]
- Reworked crafting: the chance element is removed and each recipe now only creates 1 item
- Leather armour pieces now have their own unique recipes

[SERVER]
- Reworked the crafting system to ensure that you always get the item you have selected on the crafting menu

- Enemies that would give less than 3 XP to a player will no longer give any XP (no grinding Level 1 mobs, sorry!)
- Enemies now have a global Alert radius of 4m (previously based on their range)
- Enemies that are alerted will now alert other non-aggro'd enemies in a 2 meter radius
- Reduced Metal Stone's health from 65 to 40
- Metal Stone now has a 100% chance of giving Metal (up from 50%) and always gives 1-2 metal (previously 0-4)
- Metal Stone now has a 50% chance of giving 2 additional Metal
- Metal Stone now has a 10% chance of giving 5 additional Metal
- Scroll of Good Fortune now covers an 8m radius (up from 4m)
- Scroll of Good Fortune now lasts for 60 seconds (up from 10 seconds)
- Updated the Scroll of Good Fortune icon
- Scroll of Intellect now grants +8 INT (up from 3)
- Scroll of Intellect now lasts for 120 seconds (up from 60 seconds)
- Scroll of Intellect now uses up 90 mana (up from 40)
- Updated the Scroll of Intellect Tooltip to match the item's function
- Lizards found in the Desert have been significantly buffed
- Phoenix's found in the Desert have been significantly buffed

[SERVER]
- Fixed an issue that caused players below Level 10 to lose a level on death
- Fixed an issue that caused enemies that were spawned in by other enemies to not despawn correctly on death (this is what was causing The Wilderness to lag like crazy, sorry! You can go back there now!)
- Fixed an issue that caused enemies that used the Death spell to not despawn
- Fixed an issue that caused enemies to stay in aggro if a player disconnected during combat
- Mobs now regain 10% of their health every second when out of aggro rather than +10 HP every second

Closed Beta 1.0.3 Patch Notes

[GENERAL]
- Reworked Luck. Where before it increased your chance of getting rare drops it now gives you a chance of earning 2x a rare luck
- Enemy aggro and death sound effects now take SFX volume into account

[UI]
- Fixed hotbar clearing items when tapped twice in rapid succession
- Lines will now display correctly between enemies and the players they are targetting
- Chat text entry now deletes properly when the backspace key is held
- Players now spurt blood when hit
- Added a Health and Mana bar beneath players so you can easily tell how you and other players are doing at a glance

[GENERAL]

- Fixed a crash when 2 or more AOE spells ended their effects at the same time
- Added an "All Crafts" endpoint for getting a list of every craft possible
- Player position now saves correctly (no more teleporting back to Squall's End after each update)

Closed Beta 1.0.1 Hotfix Patch

[GENERAL]
- Added additional UI scaling factors (1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2.5) (feedback: ThinkSometimes)
- Damage indicators will now spawn above enemy health bars (feedback: ThinkSometimes)
- Enemy health bars are no longer partially transparent
- Health bars for resource nodes are now always visible (making it more obvious which tiles are nodes and which aren't)
- Health bars for resource nodes are now blue (making it easier to distinguish between enemies and nodes)
- Potentially fixed an issue that was causing players outside of GMT to not be able to speak
- Passive mana regen is now +5/s (up from +2/s)
- Passive HP regen is now +3/s (up from +1/s)
- Passive mana & HP regen is no longer dependent on whether or not you are being targeted by an enemy
- Fixed a crash when attempt to talk to NPCs who had no dialogue (feedback: Survivor, Frankie)
- Fixed a crash that occurred if the npc dialogue window opened before content had finished loading
- Fixed a crash that occurred when trying to login with an empty username or password

[INVENTORY]
- Player model mannequins are now semi-transparent
- Shield and Leg Armour tooltips will now correctly show the item type and the armour value they provide

[CRAFTING]
- You can no longer add more of an item than you actually have in your inventory to the crafting bench
- You can now only add reagents to the crafting bench (if you lost your horse to this bug I'm real sorry!)
- Item images that haven't previously been loaded are now loaded correctly when appearing for the first time as a crafting result
- Fixed a crash that would sometimes occur when adding items from your inventory to the crafting bench

[CONTENT]
- Re-added the Level 3 Bear enemy
- Made night 20% less dark
- Wolves now have an 85% chance of dropping a Pelt (up from 30%)
- Scroll of Healing is now a 100% craft chance with 1x Scroll of Intellect, 10x Mana Crystal
- Fixed a graveyard teleport that was in an out of bounds area (feedback: Rozo)

[STUFF WE'RE AWARE OF]
- You can get infinite items from NPCs. Feel free to abuse this bug for now. Gold isn't too useful and the Healing spell is better than food. It'll be patched soon but is low priority right now!

The BrawlQuest Closed Beta

We're extremely happy to announce that the BrawlQuest Clsoed beta is NOW LIVE. We've distributed keys to those that registered interest and will be monitoring the game closely. More opportunities to get access to this beta are on the horizon and full launch is expected for the end of this month.

Hello!

Pleased to announce that BrawlQuest is now on Steam. It isn't yet publicly available to purchase and won't be until the Beta starts on October 1st, but active players of Alpha can request a key and take advantage of Steam's auto update feature.

This will make pushing updates and keeping track of players significantly easier and for now also spells the end of the character profile service on eu.brawlquest.com.

We're working to make a revamped version of that system that will debut shortly after the Beta has launched.
