Break_In Development Roadmap
Hello all, things have been a little quiet for the past week as I had some time off with family. Back in action now however :)
Thank you so much for your feedback and support for Break_In; for a small developer trying to make a great gaming experience this means a lot. Based on the feedback and suggestions received on our Facebook page and the Steam Forums I have created this roadmap, showing you guys the update schedule for the coming months.
The purpose of this road map is to provide a guideline for each update, and obviously things can go wrong - so delays (especially for the larger features) could occur. Of course I will try to keep you informed of these before they occur and to keep to the schedule as much as possible.
On that note from July onwards I shall begin a monthly release schedule with major updates occurring every month. Also, just because only so many features are listed for each update doesn’t mean you can’t expect bonus features to come out based on community activities and suggestions.

July - Surgical Heisting
Integration of “mini-games” into heists, safe cracking as a means of earning money, electronic door locks that require hacking to break into, and potentially something nastier than landmines.
Also the implementation of Steam Trading Cards and the first volume of Achievements based on community feedback.
August - Arsenal of the Thief
A new map, two to three new player weapons for the run and gun thief, and additional equipment for the more technical thief.
Also, players who have had their accounts warned of hacking have until this update to improve their behavior as the anti-cheat system will be implemented. This system shall be monitored by myself and my moderators to confirm its effectiveness and to gauge the community’s response. Please do provide as much feedback as possible.
September - Criminal Penthouse
2 more maps to be released with designs suggested by the community. Also a rework of the way the intruder log works so that now you will receive more details about what actually happened while you were being robbed so you can plan your defences as necessary which will be more important in the next update.
A new paramilitary force, FIEND, will be the backup you will dread dealing with - and you WILL know when they have arrived. Shout out to community member CrAzEeFiEnD and thank you for all your support - really appreciate it and I hope that you like this update!
October - Home Making
The biggest community request has by far been more customisation options and of course why should your evil lair/castle/penthouse/garbage pit be the same as every other one? This whole update shall be dedicated to implementing the grid based customisation system for traps/patrols/cameras into your bases.
This update will be a big one and was originally going to be scheduled for much later but community interest in this one seems high, so let’s do it. This update will ensure that every base will be different defence-wise, and that the same plan won’t work for all intrusions.
As a result this will be the first part of this systems integration into the game but please don’t expect it to be finished immediately - this will be something I have to work on throughout development especially as the community provides suggestions on what to add!
November & December - Criminal Community Ideas
Continuing with the community focus and getting a head start on the Christmas spirit these two updates are being set aside for community suggestions.
Expect 2 new maps for each update along with new weapons and gear for the player to utilise.
Of course a massive bug sweep and optimisation shall be occurring right throughout this period as I attempt to get Break_In ready for 2016.
2016 - Criminal Networking
Based on the requested features from the community a new roadmap shall be drawn up for the New Year & following beta period. In this period we’ll work out how and when to integrate co-operative raiding, factions, a lot more new maps/weapons/gadgets and more.
