Bunhouse Version 1.4.0 Released - The Shiny Update
Any pokemon fans out there? Everyone loves finding an awesome shiny pokemon - a rare variation of a normal pokemon with a unique color scheme. Well, I thought it would be fun to add "shiny" plants to bunhouse!
Now, you may luck into finding a super rare and differently colored version of the plants you already know and love :)
Check out the full changelog below and I hope you keep enjoying your wonderfully bunny paradise!
-------------------- Changelog 1.4.0 -------------------- ADDED: “Shiny” plants - Every time you plant a seed in a pot for the first time there is now a rare chance (1%) for the plant to have special coloring - Shiny plants are worth ten times more than normal plants - Because they are hard to come by, make sure to keep them around and keep them happy - there is no way to get that shiny plant back if it dies, so you’ll have to hope for a new one! - You can have infinitely many shinies (and even multiple of the same plant species) - Inspecting a plant will show you it is shiny via a sparkle symbol in front of the plant name - Shiny plants added: - Aloe - Calathea - Ceratostema Rauhii - Cilantro - Fittonia - Forget Me Not - Hibiscus - Lemon Button Fern - Lily - Lucky Bamboo - Monstera - Olive Tree - Orchid - Pilea - Poppy - Pothos - Primula Parryi - Purple Lupine - Purple Oxalis - Roses - Sinningia Helleri - Tradescantia Zebrina - Umbrella Plant ADDED: New Upgrade - Increase Shiny Chance - Increases the chance of getting a shiny plant - Costs 10,000 carrots - Can purchase multiple times (up to three), adding one percentage point to the rarity of shiny plant spawns - So, at max number of purchases, shiny chance becomes 4% ADDED: New Upgrade - Boat Motor - With this new upgrade, you can now cruise around your lake in style! - Use the motor by holding A on xbox or space on keyboard - Hold the oar buttons to turn (triggers on xbox or A/D on keyboard) - Costs 1500 carrots - When multiple buns are in a boat, only the bun nearest the motor can activate it, although the other bun can still turn with the oars - Motor has no effect on fish spawning - Added tutorial tip related to boat motor after purchasing - Is extremely silly given the size of the lake ADDED: Auto save function - Automatically saves game every five minutes - Enabled by default in new saves, disabled by default in old saves - Can be disabled/enabled in settings
—--
CHANGED: Altered dig spot item spawn probabilities (rock is now a lot less common) CHANGED: Made bunnies cuter
—--
FIXED BUG: Sometimes starting a new game and trying to skip the tutorial won’t work FIXED BUG: Sometimes, when saving and starting a new game then re-loading the old game, the old game still forces player to do the tutorial FIXED BUG: Sometimes player is able to put a glitched item in the wheelbarrow multiple times and it would cause the wheelbarrow to say “item not found” FIXED BUG: Steam Deck should no longer crash when loading tutorial video tips - There is an issue with the Steam Deck and how UE4 encodes videos which would cause crashes on the Deck. This is something that I can’t change unfortunately and is something I have to wait Steam / UE4 to patch. Force disabling these video tips should prevent Steam Deck crashes now (my current solution), although I don’t have a Deck to test it out so please let me know if the problem persists! FIXED BUG: Removed Herobrine
Bunhouse Update 1.3.1 hotfix
ADDED: Cheat code at suspicious stump for restoring old save files - Code is 23894 and all previously deleted save files will now appear in the load menu (inside the main menu) - Note: the time played and last date played metrics will have been wiped, so those will be reset for all previously deleted files
FIXED BUG: Order menu not properly subtracting in trees category FIXED BUG: Having exactly two save files will still show the text, “no other save files” above your obviously existent previous saves in the load menu
Bunhouse Update 1.3.1
------------------ Changelog 1.3.1 ------------------ ADDED: Super scrolling - With all the new bunhouse additions, items are really piling up and it takes a while to scroll through some of the sections in the order menu at the mailbox - With super scrolling you can now quickly navigate up and down in the order menu to get to the item you want faster by using the right thumbstick on controller or scroll wheel on mouse
ADDED: Ability to subtract items from the current order - A much requested feature that I finally was able to implement after some code refactoring 🙂 - When you press the “Navigate Back” button on controller (or esc on keyboard) it will not exit the menu but instead subtract from whatever item is highlighted - When all items in that category are gone, then the navigate back button will exit the order menu (still giving the “are you sure” prompt unless there are no items in the order anymore)

CHANGED: Can no longer put bee house in the wheelbarrow (doing so messes up their flower recommendations) CHANGED: Bees no longer request the Purple Oxalis (so you can guarantee getting honey before having to dig) CHANGED: Kickstarter backer credits name update
—--
FIXED BUG: Rare issue with overlay for common controls being stuck after exiting fishing mini-game FIXED BUG: Grid not properly showing when removing an item from the wheelbarrow FIXED BUG: Maybe? I’m aware of an issue where the bun would be stuck carrying nothing after pulling an item from the wheelbarrow. I’ve spent many hours trying to figure out what causes it but to no avail. I’ve made some changes to the wheelbarrow system that may have fixed it but, since I’m unable to reproduce the bug, I can’t know for sure. Please let me know if this bug still exists!
Bunhouse 1.3.0 Hotfix
FIXED BUG: Bee house not unlocking as intended
Bunhouse 1.3.0 Released - The Bee Update
Hello wonderful buns!
I'm back at it with another update. Lots of fun changes and additions so check out the full list below!
Full Changelog
ADDED: Bee House - Take care of your cool new bee buddies by providing them housing - Bees will request five different flower plants to be grown near them - The request takes the form of a flower icon on the bee house which you will have to compare to your plantipedia (unless you can recognize the icon right away) - If you oblige their request and keep their flowers healthy, they will give you honey in return every so often - Flowers must be within the range of the beehouse (range is visible by inspecting like sprinklers), without any walls blocking, and they must be healthy + fully grown - If a desired flower dies near the beehouse, you will need to grow another one for the bees to start producing honey again - Costs 2000 carrots (housing is expensive but don’t worry, inflation is transitory lol) - Unlocked by growing a Sinningia Helleri to max stage - Makes cute bee noises when you place it down ADDED: Honey - New item that is consumable by the bun (don’t feed your real rabbits honey though, okay?) - Honey will allow your bun to be super speedy for two minutes (specifically makes your natural bunny walk and carry speeds 50% faster) - The buff does not stack - The buff is not shared between buns in multiplayer - Can only be retrieved from pleased bees ADDED: Partial Shade Unit - Any plant underneath will have a value of two sun units - Allows you to place strictly greenhouse plants outside - Costs 65 carrots - Unlocked automatically ADDED: Decaying Statue - Modeled after decaying bronze lion statue - Costs 250 carrots - Unlocked by purchasing the Athletic Statue ADDED: Angelic Statue - Modeled after the Angel of Light - Costs 250 carrots - Unlocked by purchasing the Decaying Statue ADDED: Fence - Costs 75 carrots - Takes up 1x2 squares - Can be used to help organize different parts of your greenhouse/land or for keeping your multiplayer buns more contained - Automatically unlocked ADDED: Stone Pathing - Costs 25 carrots - Takes up 1x1 square - Used to make cool stone paths around your greenhouse - Can only lay one at a time because laying stones is laborious work - Automatically unlocked ADDED: New Greenhouse Upgrade - More Colors - Add nine new colors to the painting greenhouse station - Colors can be used on the door or the greenhouse itself - Costs 1000 carrots - Painting station still costs 50 carrots per use ADDED: New Greenhouse Upgrade - Bistro Lights - Add beautiful cozy bistro lights to your greenhouse - Costs 5000 carrots - Can be removed for a small fee ADDED: New Upgrade - Shovel - Costs 1500 carrots - Allows the ability to dig up items around the forest - Many possible items can be dug up, including some rare seeds you can’t get anywhere else! - After the shovel is unlocked, you can tell a dig spot because there will be sparkly particles floating up from the ground - A prompt will appear and the bun will automatically pull out the shovel when the “Use” button is pressed - There will always be at least one active dig spot on the map somewhere (provided, of course, the shovel upgrade has been purchased) ADDED: Globe - In celebration of Earth Day! - Unlocked via digging - Can be ordered from mailbox after initial discovery and costs 150 carrots ADDED: New Plant - Lucky Bamboo - Unlocked via digging - Can be ordered from mailbox after initial discovery and costs 8 carrots - Can grow to full size in a small pot ADDED: New Plant - Purple Oxalis - Unlocked via digging - Can be ordered from mailbox after initial discovery and costs 8 carrots - Can grow to full size in a medium pot ADDED: Material effect to indicate you’ve reached the bounds of the level

CHANGED: Carry offset for all the statues so the bun’s face isn’t inside the objects when they are being carried CHANGED: Carry offset for the bigger urns CHANGED: New grid spot for placing items on the west side of the lake CHANGED: Reconfigured level bounds CHANGED: Moved some of the golden mushroom locations CHANGED: Hibiscus can now fully grow in medium sized pots CHANGED: Made bunnies cuter

FIXED BUG: Can place fruit harvester inside wall to the point it is unrecoverable FIXED BUG: When deleting an old save file and then starting a new save file, the new save file will sometimes load old saves instead FIXED BUG: Plant modification bonus not working properly FIXED BUG: One of the delivery birds disappears in rare circumstances (the other bird must have been so swol to be able to carry that pallet by himself) FIXED BUG: Issue with plant inspection info not correctly saying if a pot is too small FIXED BUG: Misc camera collision issues around level FIXED BUG: Removed Herobrine
Bunhouse's Earth Appreciation Sale - 20% off, 20% to charity
We all know it, earth is awesome! We've got bunnies, we've got cool plants, awesome lakes... what more is there to love?? Because earth is so awesome we should celebrate it and encourage people to take care of it like the stewards they are.
Charity, Baby!
For the length of the Earth Appreciation Sale (4-20 through 4-26), not only will Bunhouse be 20% off, but I will also donate 20% of profits to Earth Day Network which does a fantastic job of education, funding earth conservation projects, and spreading the word about our awesome earth!
So, I sincerely hope you'll consider spreading the word about Bunhouse to help generate some money for charity in addition to enjoying a relaxing bunny-filled game about taking care of plants that also call earth their home :)
Broadcast from the Developer
Through a chunk of the sale, I will also be broadcasting Bunhouse on Steam to generate some more hype and hopefully get more sales for Earth Day Network. I don't have a rigid schedule but sometimes I'll be live, and sometimes I'll be playing an old video broadcast for those who happened to miss the original live version.
New Update
As if things couldn't get more awesome, Bunhouse version 1.3.0 with lots of cool new additions will also be dropping within the next couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled!
Thanks so much for the awesome community and support around Bunhouse and I hope you have a good Earth day!
Bunhouse 1.2.2 hotfix
Issue with the large sprinklers not sprinkling in some situations. Sorry about that folks! Everything should be patched up now :) Apologize to your thirsty plants for me...
Bunhouse Update 1.2.2
Bit of a larger download for this particular patch... I upgrade engine version from UE 4.26 to UE 4.27. This will provide more stability but, most importantly, it will make the console porting process easier as Nintendo requires that particular engine version (so I don't have to separate two different versions of the game). Anyway, full changelog below:
CHANGED: Redesigned large sprinkler to make it more visually distinct from the normal sprinkler CHANGED: Redesigned large fertilizer flinger to make it more visually distinct from the normal fertilizer flinger CHANGED: Increased the opacity of the wheelbarrow UI menu to make it easier to read CHANGED: Upgraded to new engine version (from Unreal Engine 4.26 to 4.27)... this is to keep consistent with the Switch port and will almost certainly be the only time the engine version is upgraded
—--
FIXED BUG: AM and PM times were switched in the load game screen FIXED BUG: If multiple fertilizer flingers or sprinklers are in the greenhouse, putting one of them into a wheelbarrow causes the range spheres to remain visible FIXED BUG: Expanding the greenhouse and causing an object to move back doesn’t correctly update occupied sockets on the grid (i.e., if a large pot near the wall moves back due to greenhouse expansion, you couldn’t place a table in the spot the pot used to be)
Bunhouse 1.2.1.1
-------------------- Changelog 1.2.1.1 -------------------- CHANGED: Removed E key binding for change fish/row to prevent an issue with the new camera bindings from 1.2.0 update - Right mouse button is now the only key binding to toggle fish/row while fishing
-----
FIXED BUG: Wheelbarrow can be placed inside walls FIXED BUG: Fruit harvester doesn’t give plant selling bonus modifier
ADDED: Plant diversification modifier - Having multiple types of plants in your greenhouse is now beneficial (to incentivize diversifying beyond just grinding orchids, or rahuii, or lupines) - If you have at least ten healthy plant species (including full grown trees), you will start receiving a bonus multiplier any time you sell plants or fruit - The bonus multiplier maxes out at 2 (i.e., double the amount of carrots per sale) if you have 35 or more distinct plant/tree species ADDED: Ability to navigate back during multiple-page tutorial video tips
-----
CHANGED: Toggleable options in settings (e.g. Video Tips Enabled) can now be changed with the select button (A on XBOX or space on keyboard) instead of just navigating them right/left CHANGED: Name on one of the tree signs per request of kickstarter backer CHANGED: Moved starting a new game and loading game functionality out of the Settings Menu and into its own subsection within the Main Menu - New submenu lists all previous save slots at once instead of one at a time - Added more information for each save file to help distinguish them (number of plants unlocked and number of carrots in that given save file) - Added ability to delete old save files
-----
FIXED BUG: Lantern and hanging plants not attaching to standing hook on game load FIXED BUG: Bun getting trapped in aquarium sometimes removes fish from that aquarium
