Bunker Punks Ver 1.2 update
Bunker Punks version 1.2 is live.
This is a small update that addressed some bugs as well as some minor balance tweaks.
Balance:
- Amount of shotgun pellets in the Sawed Off Shotgun increased.
- Melee range increased slightly
Bugs:
- Fixed a rare audio bug that occurs during loading
- Fixed an issue where Tech wouldn't drop when items still haven't been unlocked in the Wasteland Merchant Caravan. note: This involved a messy workaround to support older save game formats. If this bug still occurs for you please report it in the Steam discussion boards.
Bunker Punks 1.1 Release Notes
Bunker Punks 1.1 is live!
This is primarily a polish/balance update with a couple of bug fixes.
Changes: - The Special/Ultra Ability Icon now appears below the reticle, this will make it easier to know when you have an active ability.
- Minor balance and adjustments to Shotguns. All Shotguns do slightly less damage per shot, but fire more shots, which reduces the chances of missed shots. Effective range was also reduced slightly, making them more devastating up close, but less effective at range.
Bug Fixes: - Some users reported slower framerates at the start of the level, we've made some changes that should address the issue.
- Fixed a bug where if you switched a weapon while charging your Plasma Cannon, your next weapon would shake as if it were charging. Also fixed minor audio issues in similar scenarios.
Big thanks to everyone for providing feedback, suggestions and bug reports.
Bunker Punks 1.01 Release Notes
Bunker Punks has been updated to Ver. 1.01.
This update is primarily a bug fix update with a few minor balance changes.
Changes:
- Brute and Charger has slightly more health to make them more challenging without becoming bullet sponges.
Bug Fixes:
- Addressed an issue where Tech wasn't dropping for people with older save game data.
- Fixed an error where the baseball bat was spawning hit effects on objects out of its range.
- The GUI frames for armor now disappear when the GUI is hidden at the end of a level or on death.
Thanks to everyone for reporting the bugs. We were hoping that Early Access caught them all, but a few smaller ones made it out.

Bunker Punks 0.9.7 Katana and Shotgun Improvements
Bunker Punks 0.9.7 is Live!!
This update focuses on polish and balance, including a new collision system for the Katana which makes it less of a 'challenge' weapon and more usable all-around.
Changes:
- Shotguns fire more shots, but each shot does less damage. This makes mid-range shots hit most consistently.
- The Katana now uses a different collision system which checks collision along a vertical range so that it's much more usable and less of a 'challenge' weapon. Damage has been reduced slightly as well.
- UI adjustments.
- 'Corpse' sprites for Red Widow and Sentry EX are lower so they don't partially hide the pickup items that spawn when the unit dies.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed two bugs which were preventing some enemy units from dropping pickups when they died.
Bunker Punks 1.0 Coming Out on May 28th
We’re very happy to announce that Bunker Punks ver. 1.0 will be coming out on May 28th.
The launch update will add the last playable character: Null Point. He’s an explosives weapon expert who starts the game with a Rocket Launcher and can increase the AoE on weapons with his Special Abilities.
We would like to thank everyone in the Steam Community for all of their support, feedback and patience over the last two years. Every single bug report, suggestion and review of the game has been greatly appreciated. This is why we decided to do Early Access and the game is all the better for it.
If you’d like to help out with the launch, here are some great ways to help us out (or help out any developer):
1) Post a Steam Review - A "Thumbs Up" is the best thing you can do to help out any game on Steam. While you're at it, go through your library, find your favourite games and go give them a thumbs up too.
2) Tell your friends - Word of mouth is how smaller games reach new audiences
4) Keep the feedback coming. We’ll be posting regular updates after launch to address bugs and balance concerns.
Thanks again everyone!
