Ver. 0.7.1 - GUI Update and More!

Ver. 0.7.1 is Live!

This is an update that focuses on a new GUI layout, but there are also a bunch of small polish items that we hope everyone will enjoy.

There was feedback from the community on Ver. 0.7 that the pop-up map would be better as a permanent on-screen mini-map in one of the corners. We agreed with the feeback, but it meant a new GUI layout would be required. This also gave us a chance to implement a new health bar and do a clean up pass on the layout.

There have also been some polish/feedback improvements and we feel this is the best version of Bunker Punks we’ve released to date.

Additions:
- A permanent on-screen minimap replaces the pop-up minimap from the previous version.
- A health bar has been added which shows the delta when you heal or take damage.
- The Executive levels now have their own music. A Shell In The Pit really knocked it out on this one.
- When you visit the Wasteland Merchants, they will play their own music.

Changes:
- Adjusted the room fixture system so that more complicated level layouts will not happen on early levels.
- Smoothed out the rate at which new enemies are introduced over the early parts of the game.
- Changed the font for the item information popup in gameplay so that it is easier to read.
- Reduced the health on the Proxyman.
- Reduced the damage from the Assault Rifle.
- When the player is hit, floating numbers no longer appear to illustrate the damage. This is now covered by the new health bar.
- GUI Layout changes to accommodate the minimap in the right corner.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where enemies would occasionally spawn inside of doors.
- Enemies who shoot in bursts will now stop shooting if they are stunned in the middle of a burst shot.
- At the start of a level, pressing ‘Fire’ will no longer shoot the weapon as well as start the level.

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.7 - The Minimap is here!

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.7 is live and with it comes the long awaited arrival of the Minimap, which is very helpful with the new room designs and procedural generation.

Additions:
- Minimap. Press Z (keyboard) or Select (controller) to activate/deactivate the Minimap.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where walls would spawn in front of doorways, blocking the path.

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.6.4

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.6.4 is live.

This is a small update to address some issues that players were experiencing.

Changes:
- The option to select resolution now lists all options which are available on your computer. Previously resolutions that didn't match your monitor's aspect ratio were filtered out which created problems for players who wanted to adjust the resolution for streaming.

- UI Polish.

Bug Fix:
- Fixed a freeze on the loading screen caused by changes between 0.6.2 and 0.6.3.

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.6.3

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.6.3 is live!

0.6.3 is a substantial update as it completes a lot of the work started on 0.6.0. The overarching goal of this work is to provide more variety and character for each level type and this will be the most noticeable aspect of this update.

Special thanks to the people in the community who are posting bugs on the forum. With your help we’ve fixed a few highly situational bugs. Your help is always appreciated!

Additions:
- Executive Levels - This is a new level type with a new tileset and enemy mix. Executive Levels are found in the second half of the map.

- Wood and Brick tilesets for fixtures such as stages, low walls and pedestals.

Changes:
- The way that levels are controlled on the backend has been redesigned to allow for more customization for each level. This means that the difference between level types such as Medical and Logistics is more substantial and goes beyond the tileset differences. The overall goal is to reduce repetitive gameplay, particularly in the later levels. This is the first pass at balancing this new system, so balance may be a little off and any feedback is welcome.

- Some room fixtures will not appear in the last room of the level as they make level-boss battles too easy.

- Increased the speed on the Brute’s rocket projectile and decreased the damage slightly.

- Increased the contrast between floors and walls to help make it easier to see hallways.

- Increased the health on Double Turrets and Charger.

Bug Fixes:
- Head Bob is defaulted to 'On' when starting a new game

- When upgrades change the max health of punks, their correct max health now appears in the Doc Mercy healing interface.

- Fixed two bugs where equipped items disappeared from the inventory if the player quits the game from the Bunker Building part of the game.

- Homing Rifle now gets the proper bonus for Rifle Buffs.

- Fixed small bugs in the stun animations of various enemies.

- Fixed a bug where the backpack GUI wouldn’t sit properly in the corner on all screen resolutions

Bunker Punks Ver. 0.6.2.1

This is a hotfix to address issues where some procedurally generated maps were impossible to finish.

Bug Fixes:
- Wall partitions now appear and doorways appear in the correct locations.
