November Dev Diary - Stand Management Improvements
Hello heroes! ๐
TLDR: We've completed the new City View UI, updated stands and worker management, and improved the system for upgrading and moving stands. The impact of training and salary on worker performance is more apparent, and vehicle upgrade now has a confirmation screen.
City & Locality Views
We recently completed the new UI for the City View. Here is how it looks at night, with most features researched.
When you click on the locality button or anywhere in the environment while managing your stand, this screen will show all the stands in that area.
We've made it easier to see empty spots and added quick-access buttons next to each stand. This is especially helpful at night, making stand management and movement more straightforward.
Worker Management
Many playtesters understood the worker management system, but some missed essential details in the tooltips. These details include how training and salary affect how well workers do their jobs.
We've updated the worker management view to display vital information better. You can easily see how training and salary affect your workers' performance, helping you make better decisions.
Also, you can now research training options to make even more thoughtful choices about using your resources.
Vehicle & Upgrades
Some players found it challenging to move their stands within and between different localities in the playtest.
We've improved this process by adding a vehicle management section in the game. Now, upgrading, moving, and selling your stand are all in one place.
Buying & Selling Upgrades
Another area we improved was buying and selling stand upgrades. We noticed it wasn't clear that upgrades could be resold after 24 hours at a lower price.
Now, we've added a section for choosing upgrades. This shows what the upgrade does, how it will affect your business, and how much it costs. This makes it easier to understand and use the buy and sell feature in the upgrade system.
Confirm Before You Upgrade
Now, when you upgrade your vehicle, there's a new confirmation screen to make sure it's what you want to do.
This means no more accidental upgrades.
Plus, you can see a side-by-side comparison of the old and new vehicle specs, helping you choose the best upgrade.
