Today we implement additional improvements to the province list of the beta client.
According to your feedback, the province list can now be moved to the right edge of the screen and remembers its last size and position when reloading the game. Sorting buttons for buildings were reimplemented at the top of the list in addition to other small improvements. We also re-added the region filter, which allows you to list only provinces of a specific region and made adjustments to improve the performance of the list when displaying a large number of provinces.
Furthermore, the update brings adjustments to the recently updated color gradient effect on landmasses to make small islands less dark and brings several bug fixes to the game. Check out all the details on the forums.

Rush for Europe
Attention, Generals!
Time flies, as they say! Just like the fighters and bombers these days. The Germans are rearming, the Russians are on the move and the Royal Navy is on high alert! It looks like we are only hours away until war breaks out in Europe once again.
Mobilize your troops and prepare yourself for whatever enemy you may face! “Rush for Europe” is a special event map which runs on breathtaking 6 times the speed of normal game rounds! Even the tiniest decision could have severe consequences at this pace. Experience the war for Europe in a way you have never seen it before!

Saturday Madness - New Event
Attention, Generals!
We are excited to announce a new type of event in Call of War - The Saturday Madness!
From now on, you will be able to sign up for our Saturday Madness events every Saturday! The sign up time lasts only a couple of hours, so do not miss it.
Note: Saturday Madness is an additional event and runs on top of our regular weekend events you can sign up for from Thursdays to Mondays.
This new event puts you right in the middle of an intense battle for Europe! You and 12 other players fight for victory on a compact historic map of 1944 Europe at three times the speed of normal game rounds. You start with 5 urban provinces as the ruler of a randomly picked nation. To intensify the scenario even more you will face this fight without the help of coalitions and with the “Anonymous Round” feature enabled. Show your skills and hold sway over Europe and your enemies!
Join our first Saturday Madness event this Saturday starting at 12:00 AM CET until Sunday at 04:00 AM CET and prevail over your opponents in one of Call of Wars most vigorous PvP events!

Attention, Generals!
Today’s update brings handy improvements to the Province List and Front Reports in the beta client of the game on desktop. Mobile generals also benefit from the changes made to the Front Reports, which we describe below.
Front Reports on mobile and in the new beta client now come with category toggles on top of the overview, allowing you to filter out certain reports. Front reports now also come with clickable location information, allowing you to immediately jump to the location where the situation described in the report took place.
The Province List in the beta client received a more polished look and is now draggable and can be resized at will. The changes also make the Province List work better on devices with smaller resolutions. The build queue was altered accordingly and can be dragged and resized as well.

Dear Generals,
Did you ever want to take the reigns of the smaller nations that participated in World War 2? Now is the time, because according to the motto ‘all countries, all-in’ you can choose any historical nation that existed in 1939 in this Event.
Try to grow a small country into a big empire or pick an established superpower and surround yourself with allies. Recreate history or conquer the whole world in this historical battle scenario!

Release Notes - 2021-05-11
Attention, generals!
Today’s update brings new WebGL shaders to Call of War. The new shaders replace the current ones which will improve map performance and alter the look of our maps slightly. We tried to incorporate some of the feedback our Canvas veterans provided, who used to play with the removed Canvas graphics mode until the very end.
New gradient effects were added, contrasts were tweaked and distance fog effects and new ways to render coastal waves were implemented. We also adjusted the color balance in the moral view mode to make it less bright, and the color saturation when zooming in on the map was reduced across all view modes. In the low graphics mode, the alternative to the removed Canvas graphics mode, the color saturation was reduced in general.

Speed Round Event
Dear generals,
the time has come for another speed round event! Cancel all your plans and prepare for some short nights and long fights during the next 14 days. If no player or coalition has achieved a regular victory by that time, the player with the most victory points is declared winner. The end time is displayed in the game information within the newspaper and as a countdown on the right side of the screen. This scenario runs on the CoW 1.5 version, with new features and new balancing.

Attention, Generals!
What will happen if all states in North America are armed with nuclear weapons? Who will be able to survive? Who will push the button first? The Doomsday Clock is ticking…
In this scenario all states in North America have unlocked research up to nuclear devices and have equipped their armies with these most deadly weapons. Will you be able to unify the continent under your reign before nuclear winter is coming?

Release Notes - 2021-04-27
Attention, generals!
Today’s update implements a supply drop timer icon and info popups for generals that play on the mobile app in the game. The timer will appear as soon as a supply drop is available to you on the map, while an info popup will provide information on its exact location. Should you conquer it, another info popup will reveal the contents of the supply drop to you.
We also fixed various bugs this week. One of which happens to be the handy lasso tool, that allows you to easily select multiple units on a map. On some maps the lasso was, although functioning, not visible to players. Luckily this is a thing of the past now, and the tool is displayed correctly on all maps again.
