Call to Arms
New update!
We released a new update for Call to Arms! The change-log is available here. :cta_emo1:
It also includes a new map for the Heroes gamemode. Let us know your thoughts! :cta_emo8:
Autumn Sale and Update!
Call to Arms is currently on sale! We also released a new update with many fixes, check out the change-log. Also, let us know which feature you want us to work on here. Thanks!
Call to Arms will be "completed" by the end of the year. The game will be feature ready and most bugs should be fixed by then. However, the official release with proper localization and voice overs will happen in early 2018. Launching the game during the sale season, will only swamp it in the masses of releases and discounts. To avoid that, we will wait until the sale season is over and people are back from vacation. This way, it's more likely, that the game will be a success.
Just because we will "finish" the game this year, doesn't mean we will stop supporting it. Quite the contrary. Already early next year, we will start working on some cool new features. But to decide on what we should focus, your help is required.
Please let us know, which feature you want to see the most in-game:
A) Enhanced fortifications for engineers, such as sandbags, tanktraps and similar.
B) An attacker versus defender multiplayer gamemode
C) New vehicle damage system to generate more accurate results and longer lasting vehicle combat
D) New and enlarged multiplayer maps
E) Enhanced map border to reduce visual fog limitations
Choose 1-2 options out of the 5 above and cast your vote in the comments.
Thanks! :cta_emo7:
Feedback
Now that the release is around the corner, we want to dedicate all of our time to listen to your feedback and to fix all of the remaining issues the game has. At this stage, we think the game has come very far from the early days of EA and we want to thank you for your longstanding support!
If you have a couple of minutes left, please tell us what you like about the game and how we could improve:

Developers update 29
Welcome to our twenty-ninth developers update for Call to Arms! We will use these updates to keep you posted on the progress of the development and features.
Admittedly, you haven’t heard from us in a while. This has a reason though, we were entirely focusing on improving the game and readying it up for release. That being said, we will launch the biggest and last major update in a couple of weeks and after that we will put all our resources in bug fixing and listening to feedback from our community.
So yes, you heard right, the game will leave Early Access in just a few months!
In-game UI
The next update will finally feature the new in-game menu. It’s a much cleaner version of the one you have learned to know for so long. The improved interface only shows you what you currently need to see and helps to reduce clutter on your screen. We are excited to hear you opinion about it, once we released it in the next update!
Graphics
We almost completed the re-work of the in-game graphics to make them fit the demands of the new first-person view. In the same regard we also worked on several ways to optimize the current game performance so that everyone can enjoy it in a much smoother way. This also includes new lag free multiplayer controls.
Of course, you will also get entirely new human skins for US Forces and much more! :cta_emo10:
AI
We did several optimizations to the AI to address one of the biggest concerns players have. Especially vehicle pathing has been vastly improved, which is a pretty big game changer!
First Person
First person also got another significant overhaul. Now ironsights come without artificial cursors and ACOG scopes and similar use proper sights instead of just plain crosshairs! Furthermore, we added a friend and foe detection in direct control. After aiming at an enemy unit for a while, you will get a visual confirmation that you are dealing with opposing forces. This feedback is also provided if you get hit by enemies.
New factions
After release, you will get access to new factions, these include the UAF (arab government forces), Eastern European Rebels, German Army and Russian Army. Have a look at our new screenshots to get a taste of what you can expect! Can you tell us which tanks you see?
Bugfixes
We have done tons of bugfixes and gameplay improvements. Way too many to list them. Still there are plenty of improvements to be done and we are eager to listen to your experience with the new version soon.
So thank you for your patience, we really think the waiting was worth it and Call to Arms is shaping up very nicely for a release later this year! :cta_emo7:
Developers update 28
Welcome to our twenty-eight developers update for Call to Arms! We will use these updates to keep you posted on the progress of the development and features.
It will be rather boring when it comes to development status updates in the next couple of months. This is because Call to Arms is in the last phase of development, as we are using all our resources to finish the game up.
The final version of the game will have a few noticeable improvements. It comes with a new in-game UI, localization and voice overs. Of course, we will provide you tons of fixes and gameplay improvements over the coming months as well. Furthermore, you must wait no longer than Q4 2017 for the release. There will be no further release date shifts.
If you are worried about the lack of content, worry no more. We are already progressing very well on the next two factions for Call to Arms. The United Arab Forces and the Eastern European Rebel Forces. These factions will be available after the release of the game. Deluxe Edition owners, as well as Ultimate Edition owners will receive a new campaign, plus beta access to the factions and instant unit unlock.
In the campaign, you will fight as a civilian who gets caught up in a civil war between the UAF and the GRM. At one point, you will join the GRM to fight against the oppressing forces, who only know friend or foe and care little about the civilian population. The Eastern European Rebels on the other side, will take part in the Russian and German campaign.
Can you detect all the new units on the screenshots? ːsteamhappyː
