Version 1.2 Major Update

Hey everyone!

With the 2018 Summer Sale in it's way, we are very glad to announce that Captive is receiving a major update right now.

This update counts with map changes, bug fixes, lag reduction and additional content in the game, we hope all the issues pointed in the reviews, or most of them, are, as of now, fixed.

Performance Issues

Since the game was released, it was clear that performance issues were the game's biggest flaws, and we are constantly working on fixing those issues.

In the meantime, here are some steps you can follow to run the game more smoothly:

-Make sure your computer has the minimum settings required in order to play the game, specially the GPU compatible graphics card

-Update your Java and DirectX to the latest versions

-If you're playing on a notebook, make sure your power cable is plugged in

-Some players managed to get rid of the stuttering by opening and closing the inventory, or by leaving the room and entering it again

The game will keep receiving updates until all the problems are solved, and content updates are scheduled for June.

Reviews and Feedback

First of all, i'd like to thank all of you who took the time to write reviews and send us your feedback, all of the issues pointed out by you will be solved in time, and every compliment is very much appreciated.

That being said, i'm glad to announce that the game will receive content updates, by your demand.

Expect easter eggs, alternate endings, story exposition, and brand new artworks in the next two months.

Bug Fixes / Lag Reduction

Today's update counts with some improvements in the game FPS rate at some rooms, hopefully it will solve all of the stuttering issues some players were experiencing.

Also, some general bug fixes at the credits screen were done, and now it looks like it's supposed to do.

Captive 1.1 Update

Hello everyone.
A new game build was just released, and it counts with many improvements:

-Achievements are now live and working
-Lag reduction
-Removal of unnecessary text boxes
-General bug fixes

Game Startup / Bugs and Glitches

Some people are having trouble launching the game, if that's the case, just restart the application, or simply press F5 to reset the game.

If you are experiencing any bugs or glitches in the game, please send us your feedback, and we'll work to fix it as soon as possible.

We are very proud to announce Dead Inside Studio's first full game release on Steam: Captive

Captive is a short horror game made in RPG Maker MV, inspired by the "escape the room" games that were very popular in the early 2000s, and, for that reason, we've set a small price for it.

It's a short game for a small price, keeping that in mind, we hope you all enjoy it and have fun.
