I think I finally managed to find and fix the bug that caused weird issues with skill-related inputs. If previously you had problems using skills with mouse-only (definitely not intended), let me know if this update helped in any way!
If you have any more issues - let me know.
Also, Happy New Year!
Cheers!
Tiny update
Fixed a bug that was breaking some gamepad-related controls
It seems like some people are experiencing issues with skill usage using mouse. If you have that, let me know what kind of peripherals are connected to the PC and how the issue looks like (can you click on cards, are they marked as proper targets, does the character say something, etc).
Thank you for reporting any issues you find!
Quick Patch
Quick-fixed a quest-related crash
Quest ribbons might be missing icons until I'll fix it properly
Sorry for the instability of the game. I made a mistake of updating engine right before the release and it broke my code in a couple of places. With the help of your reports I'm fixing it as fast as I can!
If you get a crash popup, please screenshot it and send to bugs@snoutup.com!
Quick Fixes for Worst Issues
Thanks to your emails (bugs@snoutup.com) and messages I was able to find and fix these bugs.
Fixed startup crashes that would happen in certain (unknown) conditions
Fixed a game load crash that would happen after saving a game with certain enemies on the board
Investigating possible soft-lock related to the lasso skill
Don't hesitate to inform me if you find anything broken!
Full Release!
Hello there,
I finally did it! I pressed that button that released this game from the chains of Early Access. It's been long overdue and I hope that this step helps Card Hog to gain more visibility on Steam. If anyone is curious, it wasn't getting more than 1-3 sales per day when it wasn't discounted.
I also hope that new players will have some more feedback and report any issues they can find, I am more than willing to fix any bugs that are discovered and make improvements if needed. Some of the parts of the game (online multiplayer, custom game stuff) got really dusty over time.
There are a couple more things I still want to add to this game, but currently my work plate is pretty full, so I don't want to overpromise ːlunar2019piginablanketː
Cheers!

Small update
Added more unlockable clothing elements
Updated "About" page design
Small interface fixes
Small update
A handful of translation-related changes
A handful of new character outfits
Translation and UI fixes
Fixed multiple Chinese translation issues (thanks to Icy-Cream feedback)
Fixed a softlock in workshop navigation
Fixed a couple of small UI issues
Going to bump up the price today too. That is stressing me out big time ːlunar2019piginablanketː
There are a couple of mostly translation-related issues I would like to fix and Card Hog will be ready for full release. There won't be much of a fanfare, it doesn't have momentum for that ːchslimeː But I do hope it will become visible to more eyes.
Cheers!
Chinese language!
Hello there,
it took me a long time, but I finally added Chinese (Simplified) language to the game! Other devs say it can make a dent in game sales, so fingers crossed. There's not much to make a dent in here ːtjcoffeeː
Either way, since it's quite an exotic language when it comes to adding it via game engines or displaying in UI, expect some places to not look as good as they should. Game over popup is a good bad example of that, so make sure you don't end the game until I fix it ːchslimeː.
And of course, let me know if you find a place where translations are wrong or doesn't fit well. The context of Card Hog isn't easy to explain to a translator who haven't played the game a lot.
I also fixed the bug that caused final boss achievement to be granted even when players lose. Was a very silly mistake on my part, sorry for that. I bet you can beat it anyway.
I should be able to sort the remaining issues out and move the game out from EA next month together with that $1-2 (still undecided) price increase.
Cheers!

Improved gamepad support
Hello there,
I'm trying to get that full Steamdeck compatibility and eventually release Card Hog consoles, so here's a list of my attempts to make gamepad support better
Added an option to activate certain UI actions with bumper buttons
Added a way to control cursor with gamepad thumbstick
Added support for gamepad scrolling with right thumbstick
Added support for multiple gamepads at the same time
Fixed a bug of wrong outfit selection UI opening via gameover menu
Moved multiple English strings to translation sheets and will order them translated ASAP
* Press right trigger to activate cursor control, only left trigger can be used for inspection at the moment
Let me know if you have any issues with gamepad controls and any feedback on how the game feels on Steam Deck is welcome.
On other news...
Looking into translating the game into Chinese, but that will take a while and I'm not sure if I should wait for it before launching the game into full release
Price increase is coming (boooo!) and I'm still undecided between $4.99 and $5.99. What do you think?
I might leave multiplayer improvements and fixes to the after-full-release, because I could use more feedback on those gamemodes
