Lock and load - V1.0

This update is V1.0 which signals the release of the game from early access. Grab your guns, grab your friends and we hope you enjoy your stay in Carnivore Land!

Meat is back on the menu! V0.998 & Release Date.

In this update, we add the option to have the teammate in the free roam mode of the game.

With the majority of updates and bug fixes complete, we feel confident enough to announce that the next update of Carnivore Land next week (March 9) will be the release of the game from Early Access. Of course, this doesn't mean we will stop updating the game or fixing any issues that appear.

We would like to thank all of you that helped us during the game's Early Access journey, with your bug reports, feature suggestions and general feedback.

Bug fixes - V0.997

This update fixes the following issues:
  • Spawning issue in high resolutions where the enemies seemed to be spawned out of nowhere.
  • The loading screen is now shown on mission restart.
  • Rebalanced the soldiers targeting AI.
  • We fixed the issue where the mission music wouldn't start on mission restart.

More Fine Tuning - V0.995

This week we fine tuned and optimized various parts of the game, according to your feedback:

  • We removed the rollerblades from the main character so, no more sliding. Check the gif below.
  • The zoom level is now retained when rotating the camera.
  • When picking up double guns, a popup shows up with info on how aim sideways.
  • All menus, except the multiplayer menus, are now usable with a controller.
  • The tutorial shows either keyboard/mouse or controller keys depending on the last device used.
  • The intro cutscene and tutorial are now skippable.
  • Fixed the throw animation for the grenades/firebombs when having a shotgun-like weapon.
  • Grenade launcher grenades now explode on contact.
  • Fixed the save issue in the hospital level.


AI Overhaul - V0.99

This week we did a major overhaul of the AI of all the entities of the game. Zombies, enemy soldiers and teammate.
  • Your teammate will now stick close to you and has been trained to move out of the way when shot at.
  • Fined tuned the zombies behaviour and pathfinding.
  • Reworked the enemy soldiers' movement AI and added additional animations.

Also, based on received feedback, we updated the collision geometry of the city level to be more accurate. If you spot any other issues, let us know.

Finally, we added two new weapons, a sub machine gun and a sniper rifle.

Moar Guns and fine tuning! - V0.98

This week we did a lot of fine tuning.
  • We added additional walking animations on the player character mid-poses.
  • Zombies now react to lead.
  • Fine tuned the camera effects and the camera logic to feel more natural.
  • Added more attack animations on the spitter zombies.

We also added 5 new weapons to our arsenal. Two pistols and two rifles with laser sights and one WWII machine gun.

You asked, we deliver! - V0.97

This week we added zoom functionality based on your comments. The camera has been raised by default and its angle has been changed for a better view. You can zoom in / zoom out with the mousewheel or with Dpad Up/Down of your controller.

Also, we made more optimizations (can't have enough of them!) to all the levels of the game, so the game will play smoother in lower-end machines.

Finally, we did a major overhaul to all the player animations so that the character movement feels more fluid.

Faster, smoother, optimized! - V0.96

The week we did some optimizations in the city of the game, so it will play faster and smoother in lower-end machines!

Expect more optimizations in the coming weeks!

This week we release local up to 4 players CoOp for the full single player campaign and LAN multiplayer for all game modes.
