It's time to party and eat some fish! Why? Because Catizens is now available in Early Access! 🐱 During the initial Early Access release, you'll have the opportunity to play through three levels of the story campaign and explore the sandbox mode. There are six cat-tastic professions to try, different houses to build and decorate, and so much more! Can you build the purr-fect settlement?
And that's not all. We've planned a range of new features, creatures, and tweaks to come in future updates. You can read all about them in the full roadmap for Catizens:
Early Access Release
The first three levels of the single-player campaign, each with its own challenges and covering several terrain types: grass, rivers, plateaus. 2-4 hours of gameplay.
A sandbox mode with randomized levels and events.
6 professions available for catizens, with upgrades up to Level 10.
43 unique cat traits and quirks to play with and (try to) manage.
12 buildings, each with its own distinct function available.

We're excited to announce that you can now pet the cats in Catizens! Simply double-click on any idle kitty, watch it lift its paws, and listen to the soothing sounds of "purr, purr, purr.".

We know that cats are loved all over the world, but do you know what they're called in different languages? There's cat, der Kater, 猫, chat, แมว- and so many more! Why are we telling you this? Because Catizens will launch in six different languages on August 17!
In fact, the name Catizens is a play on words: it's "cat" + "citizens." So, we had to wrap our heads around how to translate such a unique proper noun into various languages, while still keeping it cozy and cuddly.
And this is what we got:
From August 17, Catizens will be available in 6 languages:
English;
Russian;
Simplified Chinese;
French;
German;
Thai.

Opening the demo for the Tiny Teams event

Birds? Birds! Too many birds!
Hello, Pawsome!
As they venture to the top of Lava Mountain, the life of a catizen is full of surprises, unexpected adventures, and many dangers. And crows are just one of those dangers that the furry kitties must deal with.
Crows appear out of nowhere and will circle over fields of your peaceful village, destroy crops, and annoy you with their loud cawing.
If you'd prefer to deal with the crows in a peaceful way, you can place scarecrows on your fields, which will keep the crows away. Otherwise, you can assign a ranger to get rid of the flying menances in a jiffy. Don't forget to collect crow feathers as they're great for making sturdy arrows!
While we are talking about new additions to Catizens, you can find a witch's hut in one of the levels, and she'll give you a special quest. It's your choice whether to fulfill it, but the consequences can be very unpredictable.
We've also decided to diversify the catizen's relationships with the rats. You can now form a temporary truce with them to avoid constant attacks, but you'll need a catizen who is either friendly or a pacifist to accomplish this.
