Anniversary Update Plans

I looked at the calendar a couple weeks ago and noticed that it had been almost a year since Cats are Liquid first came out. I thought it would be a cool little idea to celebrate the anniversary of CaL with a small update. Nothing too amazing, just a couple random tweaks and extras. For example…

  • Test levels made during development.
  • Unused soundtracks.
  • Random notes made during development.
  • Cat blueprints.
  • New sound effects for breaking dynamic objects. (Not quite sure about this one yet)
  • Graphical updates. (see below)

The graphical updates include denser lava fog, updated look for the magnets, extra glow particles on one-hit-kill surfaces, and the biggest change of all... The cat will be rendered using metaballs. No not meatballs. Metaballs. What are metaballs? This should explain it.

So, as I said, nothing too amazing. Just a couple small changes to make the game feel a bit more polished and some extras.

If everything goes as I've planned, the update will be released on December 7th.
