FIXED a few typos
FIXED a choice option in "Something in the Basement" not appearing in green text when the conditions are met
FIXED a case where the PDA screen could get stuck open
FIXED an instance where the "Selected Hacker" state icon could get stuck when backing out of a hack
FIXED an instance where using a campfire could cause text to always appear instantly instead of "typing out"
FIXED a rare case in combat where (enemy) drones could become drained even though they are immune and thus, would force you to have to kill them even when they couldn't do anything, dragging the combat out
Changes & Additions:
Hint in The Eclipse about the Comms Chip (for Prophet) will only appear if you haven't already grabbed the comms chip or used it
Removed a few inconsistencies with dialogue messages
You now get 10 exp for passing the check to take Steel in The Views like all other stat/condition checks do
Game now autosaves after meeting Danzer in The Views
Game now autosaves after the hint during the main storyline about the comms chip linked to "Prophet"
Added several new sprawler female sprites (Thanks to Ace Hangman!)
Improved some transitional effects in scenes where characters leave the area, screen fades, etc
Added a new soundtrack for use in the main menu and in combat

8/23/24 - Chaos Chain (Contracts System Framework) Update 1.52.0

Attention, freelancers!
Here is the next update for the game. These changes come from talking with players and the community about ways to help the player make more money in the game now that you can fully modify just about everything associated with your entire team.
In order to maintain story cohesion, I added a new character - "Prophet" - who serves as a contract broker and your past contact as the player as a freelancer.
The above image is displayed to give you some backstory when you click on his contact info on your personal terminal in your apartment area in game.
On top of these changes, there is now a (hidden until after you do Prophet's intro quest) "Contracts" option and framework built into the PDA, but it will need to be expanded later on over the next few updates. I ran out of time and wanted to at least release this for the weekend. That said, I can now EASILY drop in new "Contracts" that function similarly to job postings in games like Shadowrun or Cyberpunk where you have either a fixer or a "Mr. Johnson" contact you with details on the job and then you can go about your business.
"Contracts" are going to function almost identically to side quests in Chaos Chain, but they are more open to interpretation, don't necessarily have a known quest giver, save me time since I don't have to create portraits/sprites/backstories for extra characters that are only used like once, and they can be accepted nearly anytime - directly from the PDA interface. They'll also have pretty decent payouts for experience and CCred.

Added "Tap Dancing" side quest (This is the first contract I've added to get the system in place - it's not super complex, but I now have the framework for the system overall and it serves as an intro to the character you'll be working with for the contracts and provides some more backstory to allow the system to "fit in" to the rest of the storyline
Added a "Comms Chip" plot related item that allows you to contact "Prophet"
Added a new dialogue hint in the main quest to tell you how to get a hold of your old contact - "Prophet" (OLD SAVES - IF YOU ARE PASSED THE MAIN QUEST "Head in the Clouds", YOU HAVE PASSED THE HINT, SO YOU JUST NEED TO RETURN TO YOUR APARTMENT AREA AND THE ITEM TO START THE QUEST LINE WILL BE ON THE SHELF IN THE BEDROOM)
Added current ccred and current alias to the system root menu of the PDA to display
Consolidated the customization and overview menus in the PDA into a new "User Options" submenu to make room for more available options
Added plot-related items for "Dead Air" (Still working on the quest, I was working on other stuff for this update as requested by players)
Added plot-related items for the new "Tap Dancing" contract
Added portraits to the messages in the inbox of the personal terminal in your apartment area
Added contacts menu to your personal termina in your apartment area to give you info on some important characters
Increased repeatable quest reward for "Closed Circuit" from 8 to 10 creds per circuitry that you bring Harvey (That might not seem like a lot, but he was already paying you full price for them as it was, so now it's even higher)
Increased repeatable quest reward for "Working with Scraps" from 6 to 8 creds per scrap that you bring Connors
Increased repeatable quest reward for "Lend Me Your Ear" from 3 to 5 creds per soulless ear that you bring Stone
Increased repeatable quest reward for "Fueled Up" from 10 to 12 creds per fuel that you bring Mondo
After character creation, you now have to speak to Bull by answering the door before you can use the sink to "Get cleaned up"
Added "Prophet" - your past contact and link to the 'lancer life
Expanded the personal terminal in your apartment area
Added new item icon art
Updated loot drop lists for random containers to help with scavenging, meaning there is more loot available in general
Added some new details to some areas

8/21/24 - MAJOR Chaos Chain Update 1.51.0

Here is the next big update for the game. Firstly, you can now MODIFY ALL OF YOUR COMPANIONS WITH WHATEVER AUGMENTS YOU WANT. To do this, enter augment surgery like normal and then click "cycle" to change characters.

Added Machine Mind Psion skill (Allows you to skip hacking and instantly unlock a secure terminal - you must have this skill which costs 2 skill points and is only available to psions and your resolve must be greater than or equal to the SUM of the terminal STATS - Depth + Integrity + Detection + Firewall)
Integrated Machine Mind Psion skill with the hacking system
Reduced the grey factor in the game color settings forall times of day by roughly 30% (Should make colors look a lot more vibrant - I had these set a bit too high I think)
Increased red color factor for dawn - dusk slightly and decreased it further for sundown - presunrise (Wanted it to be more moody feeling and easier to distinguish the time of day)
Expanded some dialogues to existing NPCs to add more lore to the game world
Added flag graphics to the game world
Added a new easter egg to the main menu
Various other minor adjustments and tweaks (Over 20 of them in this case - just fine tuning things)
