The new game is being prepared for small-scale Alpha test
In three months, the game which includes cooperation, exploration, etc., has completed the development of the basic framework and a small amount of playable content. Currently, programmers are frantically improving and repairing the online code, and actively preparing for the first Alpha test in November. After this test, a preemptive experience version will be launched on the Steam platform within 2 to 4 months, while the official edition is expected to be launched in 2023.
The game will become free
Since the basic framework of the game is poor, it is difficult to carry out subsequent updates, so all updates will be stopped and no fees will be charged
Level update
The new level has been launched and some changes for game. However, due to lack of testing, there will be some little bugs, but they will be fixed as soon as possible
Stage 2 update
The contents added (changed) in this update are as follows:
-Added a backpack system, which allows players to put some props in their pockets instead of holding them in their hands. Use the I key to open the backpack, which can be tested in the tutorial level
-UI minor changes, which have become clearer
-Added two diffuse modes for the flashlight
-Set minor changes, added customization of ray tracing and more subtle adjustments to adapt to more hardware, And the settings will be saved, which does not need to be changed every time
-RainyNight level AI small repair, reducing the move bugs

New version with Unreal engine 5 launched
Thecollector has been updated to Unreal Engine 5 version. The main purpose is to prepare for the development of the next story. However, based on the Unreal Engine 5, the following updates have been made to this version:
-Global illumination (lumen) system is added, which can realize dynamic diffuse reflection, color overflow, ambient light shading, soft shadow, specular reflection and other, but effects at the expense of 50%~80% of the frames. It is on by default
-Temporal super resolution (TSR) is added to replace the traditional anti aliasing, which is similar to DLSS but does not require the support of special graphics cards
-The physical system has been rewritten. Since the change of ue5 physical system is more unstable than that of UE4, the physical system has been rewritten from the upper layer, which will reduce the performance requirements of the game on the CPU, but some errors may occur
-Course update, the course has been made more detailed
-Display errors in simplified Chinese have been fixed
......
Current work
First of all, our new work has been in a relatively stable development stage, and then there is only waiting! For the sake of quality, we will introduce front-end technologies such as ray tracing, DLSS, and some motion capture (if your GPU does not support DLSS, we aslo provided TSR, which is a supersampling technology based on the engine and is applicable to almost all GPU) Secondly, regarding TheCollector, we are taking time to migrate it from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5 and provide continuous updates.
Next step plan
Simply and clearly state two sentences: 1. The current project is under slow and very unstable development 2. This game will take the initiative to get off the shelf after a period of time (There is only one reason, that is the quality is too low, and the cost of modifying the underlying code is too large and meaningless)
A new and high-quality project has been started
This is a forward-looking game based on unreal engine 5. The role modeling in the game is also based on the high fidelity digital people made by epic company's software, which are the "next-generation" tools. Due to the short-term nature of the forward-looking game, I am able to do complete high-quality work alone. Relatively speaking, this is also a hard work , but I will show it to all players as soon as possible
