These new towers are available in the soulburg area, you can purchase them using deadly ichor. I hope you guys like them and we would love some feedback on them!



In this new community map, you have to keep the volcano fed with the required resources or it will start destroying the map! Beware of the lava, if you forget to give the required items in the sacrificial stand the volcano will erupt during the wave and start destroying the map, making it a lot harder to place towers in the map. So you have to climb on the top of the volcano to find the pedestal!

There are a lot of new towers this week, each with their own unique mechanic.

Pursuer Tower: Summons explosive pixies who hunt down enemies and explode on impact.

The Mine tower: Places a mine on the enemies' path. Flying enemies will not trigger the mines.

Icequake Tower: Inflict Splash damage in line with target enemy. Deals Freezing effects. Ignore flying enemies.

Cleansing Tower: A slow and powerful tower that cleanses nearby corrupted ground.

Froggy Tower: Spawns special frogs that can explode on enemies or give you a random bonus effect when you step on them.

Polymorph Tower: Transform an enemy into a chicken for a short period of time. Kill it before the transformation is undone to make it explode.

Sonar Tower: Shoots normal projectiles on unfocused targets and deals double damage on selected targets. Hit on the tower to select a target type.

UPDATE #11 New biome Soulburg + 3 New community maps



With this new biome visit the spooky Soulburg, a place where you must fight zombies, skeletons and ghosts. These new monsters come with new mechanics, each one will need a sacrifice stand built in the map to make them easier to kill otherwise you will have a very hard time.

New resource release along with the crypt: Carminium Ore. This ore is mostly used for the level 10 of the current towers. But in order to access it you will need to unlock the new enhanced TNT, a stronger more powerful TNT that will allow you to break through obsidian walls.

Build to make a new grave. You will be able to dig it out with a shovel, everytime you dig out a hole you have a chance to get either a zombie brain, ghost ectoplasm or skeleton bone.

Place a brain on this sacrifice stand to send a zombie to their grave permanently.

In the Friend menu (F) you can now have better control over who can join your game and who can stay in your game. After everyone you want to play with has joined you, you can press F and switch the Friend teleport option to locked. Then nobody else will be able to teleport to you or your teammates for the duration of the match or until you unlock it.

As a host you can now kick any players in your current game that cause you problems.

This mode will automatically activate only if you succeed at the Hardcore mode WITHOUT loosing any life. Get to the 26th wave and watch your counter keep rolling up to the … We’ll let you discover how many waves there are in this ultra hard version of the Hardcore mode. If you survive it you will unlock the Red star and everyone will marvel at it above the level entrance. Those stars also count toward the star shop.

You can now strategize a little better and optimize the use of each tower to make sure you cover 100% of the path. Each tower now has a predefined radius or direction. We also updated some of the towers so they have a special radius to add to the gameplay.

New feature: fill a rack with your fist! Use the action button to empty your resources inventory on the rack in front of you. Works with clay, rock, iron ore, coal, wood, plank and carrot racks. No more taking all the resources for yourself, unless you don’t want to share. It’s a great way to share and even out what you take from a rack, instead of emptying it all every time or using a chest.

Update to the Mortar tower, you can now add rock racks around this tower to make sure it doesn’t run out of ammunition. You will have to fill the rack using the action button while you stand next to it.

Ui Crash Fix

Quick fix on a ui error. Since the new language pack of this weekend opening a double description ui could result in your game crashing.

This could primarily happen inside the clothing shop while shopping for clothes. All other types of ui or module were well implemented with the new language pack except the double description module. It would simply crash trying to access the missing font.

You’re walled in, how will you get to your resources and your crystal to defend it? TNT of course! Try this tricky new challenge map where you don’t know where you will end up before you blast a wall and check what is behind it.

All your resources will be scattered all over the map and you will have to keep blasting if you want to find them all. The extra hard thing is that your crystal is hidden somewhere in there too! And mobs will start spawning as soon as you start blasting. So hurry up!

Introducing the Beta version of Player versus Player mode. In this mode you can now fight against the clock and your friends to send round after round of enemies to your adversary.

First pick a team. Orange team or green team. Then you will be transported to your respective side of the map where you will have to evolve your technologies until the farmer house stage. Random Crash Fix

Hello guys :D

With the last update we introduced a little client crash. During the match if it happened that you collected an itemstack that was not finished to be merged with the new itemstack merge system it had a risk it could freeze your game due to an error.

Once the error happened, You would still be able to walk but not able to interact and the enemy would freeze due to the error.

Due to this emergency fix you might also see some of the content we were planning for friday. Like the new colored text that is easier to read. More on that later :P

Since we implemented the Hardcore chalenge last week. Many people complained about fps dropping when the entire level was filled with Monster and Tower. We saw up to 20 players in the same map trying to defeat these hardcore mode. The amount of entities and towers is quite insane xD.

So this week we focused mainly on optimizing the game performance under these difficulty conditions. We found 3 main reasons for fps dropping:


1. Experience Orbs
There is so much going on during these matches that people forget to collect their experience orbs dropped on the ground. Causing massive fps drop due to the sheer quantity of experience orb on the ground.

We implemented a system that merges itemstacks that drop on the ground together. Reducing the individual amount of item stack on the ground without impacting the real quantity dropped.

2. Particle Limiter
We implemented a particle limiter that limits the amount of particles running at the same time. If you play a regular world this limiter is configured to be never triggered but if you play a level filled with more than 100 towers shooting exactly at the same mobs. The limiter will enter in effect and limit the amount of particles shooted at the same time. Limiting your game having too many particles at the same time. Which is exactly what happens during the hardcore levels. Everything becomes so chaotic that preventing some particle from spawning is almost not noticeable and helps a lot with keeping the fps stable.

3. Monster Dead Bodies
Another important issue that caused a important fps drop was the sheer quantity of dead bodies staying on the ground when defeating a massive wave like in the hardcore mode. This was not an issue under regular match but inside the hardcore mode dead entity pile up very very quickly. So we reduced the amount of time a entity takes before despawning, It helps a lot to keep the road easier to understand, especially with the bigger monsters from the hardcore mode and we implemented a cute size reduction animation before despawning them.

No Tower Challenge is like its name suggests a challenge where you can't use any tower to defeat it. You will have to use your fists and weapons to pass this level. This level can be found inside Newlandia hidden at the top of the mountain.

We also introduced a new building that will be an integral part of fallburg in a future update which is the Barack. In exchange for food you can conscript soldiers to help you protect your crystal. These spawned soldiers are going to spawn near the crystal and walk their way up to the entrance attacking any enemy they encounter.
