Update 20.06.2024

Welcome!

Today's update doesn't revolve around the list of changes, but around the gamepad knob! From today Clash II receives full support for this type of controller. This is not the only change - players waiting for new maps for Skirmish mode can try their hand at three new maps:

  • King of the Golems (1 vs 1)
  • With Fire and Wood (3 players)
  • The Great Hunt (4 players)

Another change is related to graphics - the backgrounds in the city screens have been changed to be more vivid and detailed, while optimization has been improved. This is one of several factors that should positively affect the loading time of the castle scene.
In addition, the update includes a solid pack of patches and bugfixes.

Update 11.04.2024

Going forward we are implementing the first of the changes promised at the release - more language versions. Today the game has expanded to include the German language. The full list of changes includes:



  • Adding translation of texts and UI into German.
  • Adding randomization of the player's name if left blank after editing the designated field for it in the skirmish configurator




  • Adding the ability to change the setting of the mouse cursor restriction to the window
  • Adding flames, smoke and light to the forge model in the Purians Town
  • Adding a "Try again" button after losing a scenario
  • Changing the functionality of reducing the cost of recruiting units in the tavern obtained from research




  • Fixed passing through a closed gate after destroying an adjacent fortification
  • A fix for winter tree materials
  • Fixes to unit colors related to burnt-out colors after lighting changes
  • Fixes to building materials in the Purians Town
  • Fixes to camera positioning when AI player uses skills
  • Minor tooltip fix when entering a castle
  • Correction to the mechanics of killing a unit on a fortification by attacking a wall/tower

Today's update is mainly focused on improvements to visual elements, including:



  • Visual adjustments to lighting presets for spring (map, battle, castle)

Update 01.03.2024

March begins with another update that focuses on visual improvements, but also includes:



  • Improved display of tooltips on units in battle.
  • Improved the operation of reward stores (tavern / stable)
  • Improved deselecting of treasures after collecting them
  • Improved loading of structures on the map
  • Reduced unnecessary refreshing of models of some structures (including mills, shrines, peasant huts, etc.)
  • Changes have been made to the balance of the 6 mission of Purians Campaign - the farm gives one peasant instead of two
  • Minor improvements have been made to the quest in the 6 mission of Heathens Campaign
  • Changed the way to enter the castle scene
  • Added a cursor for entering the castle scene (magnifying glass cursor)
  • Added effect of gentle camera movement in the castle
  • Improved tooltips on ranged unit targets
  • The initial number of tile highlight objects has been increased for optimization purposes




  • Fixed bug with scenario action trigger

Hotfix 22.02.2024

One week after the release, we are providing an update with bug fixes and patches that we were able to detect. Thank you for your patience and the feedback you have given us.

Today's update includes:



  • The performance of the Pike Wall effect has been improved
  • Fixed some localization entries
  • Fixed the refresh of the tavern in the castle
  • Added information to the tooltip where units' stats are shortened
  • Improved display of tooltips in the castle




  • Fixed a bug related to incorrect unloading of assets when switching between scenarios
  • Fixed a bug where in the pre-battle unit deployment screen, the abbreviated stats screen displayed incorrect AP values of units
  • Fixed a bug where Esc in the castle did not open the pause menu
  • Plugged a missing SFX into the Continue button on the main menu

Version 1.0 - release

Ladies and gentlemen, THIS day has arrived: Clash II version 1.0 is now available! After over a year of tweaks, fixes and hard work, we are leaving the Early Access stage.

At the very beginning, we would like to once again thank everyone who took the time to check out the early versions of the game and share their ideas and thoughts with us. It is thanks to you that Clash II became the game we see here, and without you it would have been impossible. But remember, this is not the end of the journey! Reaching stage 1.0 is a milestone for us, laying the foundation for further development of the game. As today's update puts a new game mode - hot seat - into your hands, this is what will be the main theme of future updates. We want to take the time to create more maps for this game mode for you and add them in the form of regular patches. The game will also get new language versions, and perhaps some unannounced visual update! Of course, bugfixes and balance tweaks won't be left behind either - we keep referring to your feedback you leave on Discord.

To celebrate this day, Clash II is available at a 15% discount until the end of February. So if the Early Access stage didn't convince you to give it a try, now might be a good time to set foot on the continent of Karkhan and support one of the sides in the conflict!

  • Fixed bug with stopping the sound of the won/lost campaign when exiting to the main menu
  • Fixed bug with detaching units from a squad to a building
  • Warg's idle animation has been fixed
  • Added fixes related to the universal dialog window
  • Performance improvements have been made when unloading models of structures, units and vegetation from tiles
  • Corrections have been made to the damage tooltip (now the tooltip will not show multi-attack if the attacker dies from counterattack)




  • Ghost tracks have been removed in the Purians campaign
  • More Cavalry has been added to the squads in the Purians campaign
  • In the 3rd mission of the Purians Campaign, a bug reported on the Discord channel by b1aster has been fixed
  • In the 4th and 6th missions of the Purians Campaign, holes on the map allowing you to go against the rules have been fixed
  • In the 4th mission of the Purians Campaign, the location of the mission trigger was corrected and a marker indicating the Griffin's nest was added
  • In the 3rd mission of the Heathens Campaign, the glyphs and the Dragon have been balanced
  • The gold balance in the Heathens Campaign has been changed

Yesterday's update was a special one for us, as it closed the roadmap we had planned (except for one small exception - about that in a moment).

In exactly one week, on February 15, Clash II will leave the early access stage! We are as excited as you, the players who took the time to test the Early Access version. Thanks to your feedback, suggestions, comments and ideas, Clash II has become a game that realizes our shared imaginations. A big thank you for this amazing journey!

Yesterday we shared with you a huge update, covering all stages of the roadmap except one - the hot-seat game mode, which will be released in a week. Right now, most of our team is spending every available moment on testing and tweaking, so that once you know Harwig's story, another fully polished adventure on the continent of Karkhan awaits you.
