We have another update for you on the experimental branch of Clicker Heroes 2.

Patch notes

  • Fixed an issue where you were getting more XP than you should with Kuma stacks.
  • Increased difficulty after the first Star System.
  • Players no longer lose unspent stat points when ascending.
  • Fixed an issue where coins were causing lag.
  • Bonus Gold Chance now works the same as other chance based nodes.
  • Hovering over ClickTorrent buff no longer crashes the game.
  • Reload rampage no longer gives a ridiculous amount of gold.
  • Updated some outdated flavor text.
  • Removed damage from levels from the Stats panel since it is no longer used.
  • Disabled luck runes.
  • Reduced Metal Detector and Power Rune bonus.
  • Reduced Big Clicks, Huge Clicks, Mana Crit, and Power Surge values from skill tree nodes.
  • Increased bonus from Auto Attack Damage nodes.

Clicker Heroes 2 0.11.0 (e) can now be tested

Hey Clickers!

We’ve removed Gilding and replaced it with Ascending. Forced skill tree resets no longer exist. Every world now awards Worldcrumbs the first time it is completed. Worlds are grouped into Star Systems the way they were previously grouped into gilds. Each completed Star System will earn you a Starfire. Starfire can be consumed to ascend, converting your Worldcrumbs into a permanent damage bonus based on the number of Worldcrumbs consumed, and resetting your skill tree and skills. Unlike when gilding, you will keep all the stats you’ve gained from white and yellow nodes and can repurchase them to further increase your stats. Stat values and monster health have been radically adjusted to account for these changes. Generally speaking, you will not gain stats as quickly but monster health grows *much* more slowly than in any previous version of the game.

Functionally everything is ready to play, but we’re still working on the Astral world which will be the final world in a Star System and a star map that will replace the current world selection panel. For now only Cid will be available for the beginning of this experimental but we’ll be working on getting the Wizard ready as soon as possible. Ethereal items also don’t do anything right now, but we’re working on getting that fixed.

Here’s a list of some of the additional changes you’ll find in this patch:


  • Cid’s skills and stats now scale linearly instead of exponentially.
  • Character damage, world difficulty and item damage have been changed.
  • Clickstorm and the clickstorm variants no longer increase their speed over time.
  • All “hastened” nodes have been removed and replaced with Auto Attack Damage nodes.
  • World traits have been removed.
  • Discharge now deals damage based on the amount of energy spent and your auto attack damage.
  • Experience penalties and bonuses for level differences have been reduced.
  • Percent damage shown on items should now update when items are purchased with the automator.


How to participate in the experimental: Restart Steam. Go to Library -> Right click on "Clicker Heroes 2" -> Properties -> Betas. Type "ibackedupmysave" into the beta access code field, click "Check Code". It should unlock "experimental" in the dropdown menu. Choose "experimental" and wait for the update to download

Clicker Heroes 2 0.10.9 Patch Notes

Hey Clickers!


Today we’re releasing another update for the Wizard which should fix most of the remaining bugs.

* Added a silhouette for the Wizard in the item panel.
* Fixed a bug where Explosion was not working.
* Unfinished spells now carry over after boss fights.
* Buffs no longer tick for a short period after failing a boss fight.
* Runes can now be cast when no monsters remain in a zone.
* Runecorder now restarts at the start of a world.
* Pressing space while creating a Runecoreder name tag no longer pauses the Runecorder.
* Fixed an issue where multiple recordings could play at the same time.
* Corrosion no longer double dips on Zap.
* Reduced the cast time for Ice and Lightning: Damage Spell and Fire and Lightning: Damage Spell.
* Fixed a bug where multiple Surge or Ritual Ethereal items were giving way more stats than they should have.
* Transmutation now shows the effective gold gain to damage conversion rate.

With most of these bugs out of the way, we’re going to start working on making improvements to the Runecorder and offline progress on the Wizard, which will be the focus of the next update.

Clicker Heroes 2 0.10.8 Patch Notes

Hey Heroes!

We’ve got another update for the Wizard this week which includes some spell improvements as well as some bug fixes.


* Crit chance over 100% now has additional chances to crit.
* Crit damage now provides more damage.
* Combustion can now activate more than once when above 100%.
* Combustion tooltip now shows the correct amount.
* Fixed an issue where the large combustion nodes were giving ¼ the amount they were supposed to.
* Circuit now hits the first enemy.
* Shatter now applies on enemy death.
* Shatter now procs on enemies killed by an ice chain.
* Chain now causes burn. These additional burn(s) will not cause explosion to proc or decrease warmth, but will have combustion applied to them.
* Synergy now additively applies elemental cost reduction.
* Fixed a crash caused by explosion.
* Fixed cool crits tooltip.

Clicker Heroes 2 0.10.7 Patch Notes

Hi everyone!

We have another update for you today that fixes a few more issues with the Wizard.

* Fixed a problem that was introduced in the last update where Gilding on the Wizard would crash the game. (May need to use reset gild button in the skill tree if you gilded)
* Fixed a bug where zap could crit.
* Comet shower now only generates 9 stacks of fatigue instead of 250+.
* Added an option to name recordings (Probably needs a little more polish to make the text easier to read).

Hey Heroes!

Today we’re pushing out another update for the Wizard which includes a ton of spell fixes along with other miscellaneous changes. If you’re still encountering any other bugs or have any suggestions, please let us know.


  • Fixed Synergy.
  • Fixed Energize.
  • Cut spells are now saved when the game is closed and reopened (should fix some offline progress issues for those of you using pasted spells in your runecorder)
  • Mana regen is now affected by catalog purchases. (tooltip still needs to be fixed)
  • Fixed an issue where some sounds were playing during offline progress.
  • Cut and paste no longer interrupt charge sequences.
  • Circuit no longer applies to ice chain when synergy is not active.
  • Spells are now paused when the game is paused.
  • Coolth and warmth now properly decrease fatigue stacks.
  • Coolth now has a max stack amount of 3x the amount of your total stacks from an individual spell.
  • Fixed an issue with scrolling in the runecorder with too many recorded spell sequences.
  • Fixed Solar Storm.
  • Fixed Thunder Storm.
  • Fixed Asset crash for “Ice and Lightning: Damage spell”, “Fire and Ice: Damage spell”, and “Fire and Lightning: Damage spell”.
  • Fixed Lingering Flash description.
  • Fixed the wording for some unique Ethereal item descriptions.

We have one more small update we wanted to get out for the Wizard. Unfortunately, there isn’t any spell or trait fixes this update, but that will be the main focus of our next update.

Wizard Now Available on Live!

Hey Heroes!

The Wizard is now available to play on live! The Wizard uses runes such as Ice, Fire, and Lightning as well as neutral runes to create a variety of incantations to help you in any situation you encounter. With the spells that you discover, you can plan out the perfect sequence of spells and record them with the Runecorder, a new form of automation that is unique to the Wizard.

Other changes included in this update are:

General

Added confirmation popup for skipping offline progress
Fixed an issue where the UI panel and HUD would overlap during a boss fight
Fixed an issue where tab notifications were displaying under the next tab.
Purchasing nodes affected by ethereal items now recalculates the value gained from the item immediately upon purchase for all types of ethereal bonuses.

Cid

Fixed a bug causing Managize to provide Mana when it shouldn’t

We’re pushing out an update to experimental that fixes a number of bugs related to the Wizard.



Wizard


  • Skill tree and Ethereal items now show stat levels and bonuses.
  • Fixed crash bug caused by Fire Zap.
  • Runecorder now stops playing when walking up to a boss fight.
  • Chance of spell cost reduction in stats panel fixed.
  • Shatter tooltip fixed.
  • Fixed Corrosion chain lightning bug.
  • Added some checks to prevent crashes when a monster can not be found.



Cid

  • Fixed a bug causing Managize to provide Mana when it shouldn’t

The Wizard returns to Experimental!



Hey Heroes!

Hope you guys are having fun with the Ethereal items update!

Today we’re bringing the Wizard back to experimental for those of you that enjoy testing out new features. There’s been several improvements and bug fixes since the last time he was on experimental, but the major change is the addition of Wizard specific Ethereal items.

Patch Notes




  • Runecorder now stores multiple recordings.
  • Skilltree becomes more and more random with each new gild until it resets after a number of gilds.
  • Removed idle condition for Transmutation.
  • Tweaks to Transmutation damage numbers.
  • Transmutation damage fixed on bosses.
  • Transmutation now shows the damage gained.
  • Transmutation no longer activates when it shouldn’t.
  • The Runecorder no longer crashes the game at the end of a Gild.
  • Fixed an issue where some users had to delete their user.data file to cast spells.
  • Tier 9 ice/fire crit nodes no longer give 100 times as much crit as other nodes.
  • Solar system no longer appears on worlds it was not cast on.
  • Fixed Thundersnow crash
  • Fixed solar storm crash and a number of other crashes when no monsters are on screen.
  • Fixed crash related to out of bound frames.
  • Fixed a number of issues where logic was shared between multiple Wizard saves.
  • Runecordings are now character specific.


Things we still need to work on




  • Idling for multiple worlds
  • Ethereal item names for the Wizard
  • Making Ethereal items show the current level of stat increase
  • Making the Skill tree nodes show the Ethereal items they contribute to
  • Fixing any remaining bugs
  • Adding additional Quality of Life improvements
