Consortium: The Tower launches on Kickstarter at 12:00 PST, high noon, tomorrow, Monday, January 18th.
There is a countdown happening on http://thetowergame.com that shows the precise moment when the campaign will be live. The first few days of a crowdfunding campaign are super critical, so we’re inviting the entire Steam Consortium community to come check out our pitch and consider pledging if you like what you see!
We want to let you all know that we have taken any and all criticism over the past two years to heart, and will be working extremely hard to ensure that The Tower addresses everything and so much more. This is the game we’ve most wanted to make for over ten years, and soon you’ll get to see why!
Just in case you haven’t seen them yet, here the two videos we’ve released so far for The Tower:

V 1.25 is here!
Hello everyone,
We just pushed a new patch live that fixes a few things.
The main fixes involve us working around some rather nasty things that recent Nvidia graphics drivers have done to our game. We got around most of the issues, with only one exception. When getting to quantum limbo, some cards and drivers may still cause an issue. IF this happens for you, switch into Windowed mode (or vice versa) and the problem should go away.
We're also about to unveil The Tower , our upcoming Unreal 4 powered sequel to Consortium! Our Kickstarter goes live this Monday, the 18th... and you're going to want to see our pitch. :-)
Sincerely,
The iDGi and CONSORTIUM team
Opening Sequence Blindness
It has recently been brought to our attention that the latest NVidia drivers include a regression that leads to having your vision blocked during the very first and last moments of Consortium. We have contacted our rep at NVidia and are working on a fix for this problem. In the meantime, many users (including our staff) have found that the problem is limited, somewhat variably from system to system, to either fullscreen or windowed mode only. If you are experiencing the issue, we suggest you try toggling the fullscreen setting and seeing if that clears things up for you.
UPDATE: Further troubleshooting indicates that the variation between systems may be related to screen resolution. Certain combinations of resolution and fullscreen mode would seem to trigger the issue. If the problem persists in both modes, try changing resolution by one or two positions and trying again. We will update again if further details are found.
Alternative Workaround
If you find that the problem is present in both fullscreen and windowed modes, the following save files can be used to skip past the opening sequence:
Save for Steam & Humble versions: http://1drv.ms/1zuStyf
Special save for GOG version (saves are incompatible with other two): http://1drv.ms/1H9E0uX
Usage: place this in consortium/SAVE/[your Steam account #] inside the game's installation directory. For non-Steam versions, the save file will just be directly inside the SAVE folder.
This save file is configured to appear under Universe 1. If you'd like to a use a different universe, just change the first number of the filename before inserting.
As for the ending sequence, the following steps can be used to end the game: When the Churchill Tower comes into view, release your mouse. When you find yourself blinded, tap left a couple quick times and then hold forward to move to the end, you should navigate to the end trigger.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Mac port of Consortium
Unfortunately, we have to report that development of the Mac version of Consortium has once again stalled.
To be perfectly honest, the reason is simply due to lack of funds to see it through to completion at this time. This being said, we are 100% committed to eventually finishing the port as soon as we can afford to do so. It’s extremely frustrating for us, because the vast majority of the porting work has indeed been completed. The root of the problem lies in low-level issues related to the custom renderer that Consortium has.
We are well aware that many of you Mac folks have bought the game already during sales and such and have been waiting patiently for us to finish the port. All we can do is ask for your continued patience and trust that we will eventually finish and release it on the Mac.
Recent issues with Consortium
We have been made aware of some recent issues with Consortium where the game doesn’t let users leave the Inventory screen. We currently suspect the issue only happens for users that have recently updated Windows 10, and have fairly new Nvidia cards. If you are having this issue and you have a machine that does NOT fall into this category, please email us at support@interdimensionalgames.com and let us know your full system specs.
The bottom line here, though, is that we are looking into this. Very few of us have Win 10 machines but we will be building a machine in an attempt to replicate the problem so we can issue a patch to fix it as soon as possible.
"In-Game" Updates / Interview with Greg
Hey all,
We thought it was worth making an update on what will be the best way to keep up on "in-game" information as we move forward on the Tower Prophecy. Vidal Desertch, principal inventor of the iDGi-1 satellite, has himself a Twitter account where he's been speaking about internal iDGi politics and information about the upgrades currently being done to the iDGi-1 satellite. He will also tweet any time he makes a post to the forum, or really any number of things related to the company.
Speaking of which, he has recently written a post where he contemplates the possibility that perhaps the King and the Consortium are not everything they appear to be. Definitely worth a read for anyone who has played the game at least once.
And last but not least, Greg (the boss!) was recently a guest on Lachhh and Friends, a Twitch.channel, where he was asked about all sorts of things, but most importantly about Consortium production and the franchise as a whole. This is a solid, very candid interview with some great insight into Greg's crazy mind, so take a look!

Consortium: The Tower Prophecy -- Gameplay Reveal Teaser
Greetings Seekers!
Today we unveil the first glimpse of gameplay from the Unreal 4 powered Consortium: The Tower Prophecy.
We've received a few more bug reports, so we've found and fixed them. As long as reported serious bugs can be replicated by us and we are able to fix them, we will continue to issue patches.
Wine Support
For those of you that run a Unix based OS that are itching to play CONSORTIUM, we do have a pretty good solution for you. The game now works rather well using Wine. The admins on Wine HQ judged our compatibility as Bronze, but we feel it's more accurate as a Silver. Regardless, it works fairly well and is a good alternative to waiting until we're able to port the game to Linux natively.
The Mac port is continuing, we will have a better report for you on it's progress soon.
That's about it for now...more soon!

v1.23 is here + General update
Greetings Seekers!
We have just uploaded what may end up being the final content patch for CONSORTIUM. Included are a variety of bug fixes and various improvements. For a complete list of what's in V1.23 (spoiler alert!), see HERE. NOTE: To ensure your game makes use of all the latest changes and fixes, start a new universe.
MAC VERSION
Progress continues to be made on this front, however there was an an unforeseen delay just before we were about to start testing. Specifically, we are having to upgrade the engine to support OpenGL 3.2. It originally supported OpenGL 2.1, but some of our custom shaders were simply not compatible with 2.1. So, the upgrading work is ongoing, and we will continue to keep you updated.
To all Mac gamers eager to play CONSORTIUM: we truly appreciate your continued patience. If you're interested in being added to the Mac CONSORTIUM testing list, just drop us email us at support@interdimensionalgames.com .

We are happy to announce that the contest has concluded and the results are in! The following folks are the winners:

A couple other things...
To any CONSORTIUM Kickstarter backers reading this: The Kickstarter-only Special Edition is DONE, and we are getting it ready for rolling out. Watch for a KS update later this week! :-)
Finally, we would just like to simply say...we are getting close to the first public unveiling of The Tower Prophecy...
