Glint County Preview, PAX East 2020 Details!
For some, Love County is in their sights- for others, its in their rear-view mirror. I'm happy to announce our next update, Glint Plains, will be arriving this Friday! This smaller territory still packs a few surprises and lots of action, and is a great precursor to our next major update in March which will undoubtedly be the largest one yet.
Not only will there be new achievements, 26 new levels and improvements, there's also a new food truck to watch out for! UEIYAV uses a hack based weapon that damages sensitive equipment, which can cause a bit of chaos for the day!
Also new are gameplay modifiers that force you to take a certain number of prep stations with you for the day, which increases orders and the difficulty at times. Good luck dealing with these new scenarios, you're gonna need it!
PAX EAST
We'll also be at PAX East, in booth 30045! We'll have CSD 3 available to play with a sneak peek at our new territory update, Grandview County. Havana Mahoney, voice of Cleaver, will also be stopping by the booth throughout the week, and we'll also be giving out these amazing pins!
Bronze pins are available to all who come by the booth (for as long as we have them in stock!), and the gold pins are only available to those who get a gold on our super secret challenge level in the booth. Good luck!
And hey, if that wasn't enough delish content, I'll be doing two food themed panels at PAX! The first one is the annual PAX Bake Off, where I will undoubtedly win with my vast culinary skills. Watch it in the theater or streaming via PAX Twitch! It will be on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 8pm in the Albatross Theater.
Its going to be a ton of fun and I hope y'all can make it for all the free swag and games. Thanks y'all and cya this Friday for the next update!
The Love County Update (v0.60) for CSD 3 is Now Available!
The first content update for CSD 3 is now available! I'm super excited for this one as it adds new gameplay modifiers, unique level designs, and lots more. I've also been listening to user feedback and adding lots of small fixes and additions that were requested.
Once again, thank you so much for all the great reviews as they help us immensely, and watch for more updates very soon (either here, via Twitter or Discord)!
NEW ADDITIONS
* WELCOME TO LOVE COUNTY: A whole new territory with 39 levels and brand new gameplay modifiers. With the entire area under lockdown by police and military forces, most food trucks tend to stay away from this location. Don't think you'll have it any easier though- the short travel times and increasingly agitated civilians make for the most challenging area yet! * Impatient Customers and Crazy Customers spotted on various days! Watch out!!! * Six new achievements added to the game! * New story sequences added for this new territory.
IMPROVEMENTS & BUG FIXES
* Gelato code was not allowing for the 24th ingredient, Puffo, to be selected as a recipe. * YUM progress is now shown in a different color in the Day Complete screen to better illustrate how much progress you've gained. * Descriptions for signs in the route menu have been added when highlighting a day. * Fixed Calzones and Stuffed Peppers not being marked as Auto-Serve in the Food Catalog. * Fixed other foods marked as Auto-Serve despite being single-step foods (like Ceviche) * Sped up attack sequence for all drive-by food truck attacks. * Fixed an issue where Delicious bonus funds were not correctly added to YUM progress. * Adjusted YUM progression for tiers 35 and higher. * Fixed issue with ram-based attacks when upgraded to LV2 Food Truck Reinforcement. * Fixed redundancy with requirements for Wall, South Dakota/Route E/Day 3. * Fixed issue with custom Holding Station Ingredient keys not properly loading for keys G and H. * Added the following food descriptions:
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Laulau
Bouillabaisse
Moussaka
King Cake
Egg Foo Yung
Deluxe Poutine
Soda Floats
Torta
Zrazy
* Improved food truck sign UI on Route menu. * Fixed a bug that was not turning off tunnel lighting when Motion While Traveling was set to anything but "Standard" * Fixed issue with incorrect food counts in Today's Menu in-game when the Rejuvenator is upgraded in certain instances.
Update Preview: Love County Brings 39 New Levels for Valentine's Day!
Welcome to Love County! Here in Marietta, Oklahoma things have taken a turn for the worse, and the entire area has been uprooted by the large Texas Border Wall. Now the entire city is under police and military control, which has lead to many food trucks shying away from the area...and a volatile customer base!
The routes in this city are incredibly short, meaning you'll be more focused on Special Orders than ever before. Upgrading your food truck to carry over as much food to the next stop as possible is absolutely key here. Good luck Chef!
Along with these 39 new levels comes new achievements and new features, additional story sequences and improvements! I'm also introducing two new gameplay modifiers that will further change the dynamics of the game:
IMPATIENT CUSTOMERS: These customers don't have time to waste, and tend to leave much faster than normal customers. They walk in with the "yellow" patience attribute, which means the order will leave the screen a little faster, so make sure your Holding Stations are full of food!
CRAZY CUSTOMERS: The effects of war have finally gotten to these customers, and every single one will be extremely impatient as they start with the "red" patience attribute. These levels are very nearly impossible without the right upgrades and are a massive challenge. Good luck with these, you're gonna need it!
Note that neither of these attributes affect Special Orders, just Holding Station orders.
Expect more fun challenges with every new Territory update, and cya this Friday! (update is currently scheduled to hit around 11am CST, be sure to follow @chubigans for the latest details and join our Discord for the latest news!)
v0.55 Live! Adds Achievements, Major Gameplay Balances & More!
I'm super excited to give you all the details on the brand new v0.55 patch, the first of many content updates for the game in Early Access!
For this update I wanted to focus on a lot of fan requests, balancing, and major areas that needed attention. Here's some of the biggest additions to this patch:
New Steam Achievements
Eighteen new Steam Achievements have been added to the game! Most of these are retroactive, meaning as soon as you load the game and head into the Territory Select menu, they should all pop. Included with this initial set are some custom challenges that I wanted to make that are not retroactive as you must get a perfect day using new point values described in the achievement. Many of these are extremely tough, so good luck! You can expect new achievements with each new Territory patch update from now on.
Here's the full list: https://steamcommunity.com/stats/1000030/achievements
Major Gameplay Balancing
One issue I've had with the game is the way Prep Stations are handled. Late in beta development I had the option to turn them off added as many players didn't like the challenge. But the notion of buying a Prep Station and then turning it off seemed wrong to me as well. There had to be a way to make Prep Stations more attractive to use, but I couldn't quite figure it out until Roni on the Steam Forums had an idea: using them as point-added modifiers.
That means that for every Prep Station you have turned on in the Upgrades section, you will have one less point required in that specific day! The more Prep Stations you have on, the less points you'll need, but the harder the game will get.
In case you think the game could get too easy, a reminder: all the content in the game is not even half of what's going to be available, and by using these modifiers I can really push the difficulty in the late game stages. 30 and 40 points, anyone? Muhahaha! I'm eager to hear your feedback in the forums or on our Discord!
As always, I cannot stress enough how important reviews can be for us, so if you enjoy the content please leave a small review if you can! Here is the full list of improvements:
= PATCH v0.55d NOTES =
= NEW FEATURES =
* You can now use Prep Stations as a way of decreasing points needed for a day! Every Prep Station upgrade is now worth one point for your menu. For example, if you have three extra Prep Stations upgraded and turned on, your point requirements for Today's Menu is decreased by 3. * Eighteen achievements added to the game! More achievements will be added with every new territory update! * You can now toggle Advanced Stats in the Food Catalog and Today's Menu! This will show you which foods have Auto-Serve capabilities and how many servings it has, which also counts serving upgrades. * Cloud Saves can be used via the Cloud submenu in the Save Slot section. This is now officially implemented (it was in previous patches of the game) * PS/HS can now be toggled in the new Setup menu of Today's Menu, instead of having to go to the Upgrade Menu. * Infinite Patience is now on for Practice Mode. * You can now sort by Purchased Rank. * Aside from first starting up the game menu music no longer loops and instead shuffles through tracks once they end. * The columns in the in-game Today's Menu are now colored orange for what's needed. They will turn white/gray when servings are no longer needed.
= IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES =
* :Bibimbap: reclassified as a level 5 food (from a level 4) * :Hamburgers: reclassified as a level 4 food (from a level 3) * VoidBurger recipe added to Hamburgers. * You can now bind the left and right arrow keys to the Page Turn button in the Options>Keyboard menu. * Points are now displayed under Begin Day to help with achievement goals. * Foods no longer show up in the Practice Mode if they're on Today's Menu. * You can now skip the Medal Awarded splash screen and the Level Up music stinger as well, which should also solve any audio-related issues with the game getting "stuck" on these parts. * Food truck attacks no longer occur in Chill Mode. * Fixed an issue that would show the wrong objective tooltip in Today's Menu. * You can now see costs of future upgrades that are still locked in the Upgrades menu. * Aroma Fan upgrade has been boosted, decreasing the Perfect Combo cap by 10 for each upgrade, down to 40 instead of 50. * Cleaver was too happy when delivering the "We lost a holding station!" line, she now looks angrier. * Lane lights now pulse during a stop, indicating they will change once the stop is over. * Fixed some misspellings. * Removed CSD 2 legacy code that caused a crash with certain food truck attacks in certain circumstances. * Corrected a few pie recipes to better reflect real-life recipes (Key Lime Pie and Rhubarb Pie). * Sisig and Sencillo Tacos ingredient flow changed to prevent hovering ingredients. * Changed a few UI elements in practice mode * Fixed a rare mouse issue in the main menu.
The Roadmap for Early Access!
First off, I can't thank everyone enough for all the continued support and reviews for CSD 3! Reviews help us immensely and to read all the positive feedback has been so encouraging for myself and the team, so thank you thank you thank you!
Today I'd like to share what we have planned for Early Access! This is a look at the roadmap we're using, with two territories per month (with each territory having over 20-30 levels), new features, and lots more!
Each territory will come with the continued story of Whisk, Cleaver and Chef as they drive across the country. What kind of discoveries will they make along the way? What rivals will they face? I can't wait till y'all find out!
The roadmap starts next week as I roll out some of the initial Achievements we have planned. Some will be retroactive (such as earning all golds in a territory) while others will be situational, such as getting a gold on a specific level while using double the amount of required points, and so on. It's gonna be a lot of fun making these, and will definitely test your skills!
In March we plan on releasing the Trinkets customization feature, where you'll be able to plaster the inside of your food truck with all kinds of small trinkets and treasures to make it your own. Get some for free, earn some with medals, or buy some outright with CrumbCoin- there will be plenty to choose from!
Thank y'all again for all the love and support, and I hope you're ready for a new wave of challenges, story, features and gameplay! And if you're enjoying the soundtrack, be sure to pick up a copy on Steam!
Holy cow we did it! Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! is now available for your consumption today!
I want to thank everyone for all the support, it means so much to me, and I hope you enjoy the game! We will be eyeing the Steam forums and our Discord server so for any feedback or help please post in either of these areas (Discord is likely the fastest). We will also be further outlining our Early Access plans in a Steam post later this week!
If you enjoy the game please do leave a review, they help IMMENSELY! Thanks so much y'all!!! ːcsd2smileː ːcsdsmileː

CSD 3 Preview with Giant Bomb!
As some of y'all know Cook, Serve, Delicious! got it's start with Giant Bomb when they did a Quick Look back in 2012 of the original game. I owe a ton of its success to that video, and when the time came to do a big new preview of CSD 3, it only seemed fitting to give the exclusive to the site I love most. They were such gracious hosts and are just the best people ever. In this video you'll get a first look at the new campaign, upgrade mechanics, and lots more!
[previewyoutube="re7iyimHDiI;full"]
If that wasn't enough we're also featured in a two page spread in the latest PC Gamer magazine! (December 2019 issue). Be sure to check that out at your local newsstand today!
Development is going great and we're still aiming for a January 2020 release. Be sure to wishlist the game on Steam if you haven't already, as that helps us a ton with visibility and metrics!
Finally, if you'd like exclusive beta access to help us with development, be sure to come on by the Discord channel to see all the ways you can be a part of the private beta team!
