Four years ago today, my dream became a reality and i was given the opportunity to publish my game alongside other great titles on Steam. It's been four years and I am proud to announce that the next update will officially mark the end of the Alpha release cycle and push Corona MotorSport into Beta! I'll be releasing a reader for the update shortly, followed by a trailer showcasing what's new along with an ETA for it's release.
Thank you for your continued support, I wouldn't be who I am today without all of you.

Development Resumes
(This is extremely late but..) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Hey Guys!
Development on Corona has slowed quite a bit over the past few months, as I've been busy with my first semester of college and I'm just now starting my second semester as well. In 2012, I had a dream of starting up my own studio and publishing my creations on Steam, that dream came true in 2014, when Corona MotorSport flew through greenlight and was approved for sale. But I launched a product into Early Access that wasn't ready, and ever since then I've been working non-stop, often receiving next to nothing from sales just to finish the game. I was on the receiving end of lots of negative feedback and frankly, most of it was deserved. But I never gave up, and I don't plan on quitting anytime soon. All of you can expect Corona to be finished within a few months. I'm not finishing it because I want money, I'm finishing it because being a game developer was my childhood dream and I refuse to disappoint my current and future customers, and I hope to grow this studio and have a full team to work on projects with.
I'll keep everyone posted weekly with progress.
Stay classy and keep pushing forward, no matter how much crap life throws at you,

Status Update
Hey Everyone!
I've still been hard at work on the latest update of Corona MotorSport and I'm hoping to have it done and fully released within the next few weeks. I recently started college and my free time dwindled a bit but I'm still on track for completion of this update!
Most of the major gruntwork for the update is complete and now all thats left are a few small but relatively time consuming details. I've been redesigning some of the vehicles and adding badging to some as well so the quality level of all the models are consistent with eachother. I also have to finish reconfiguring the AI system as I am now working with a totally new physics package and lots of parameters need to be changed and adjusted.
Anyway, I look forward to finishing and releasing Corona MotorSport over the next few weeks.
Cheers,
Luke Japaridze

Update 3.05 Progress
Hey guys!
I've been hard at work on Update 3.05 since last month and I've already added a boatload of new features. As of now, this update is intended to be the final ALPHA edition of Corona MotorSport before it's prepped for full release on Steam as a finished product.
Here's what's on the roster so far for 3.05
Complete vehicle physics overhaul
better framerates, reduced CPU overhead
more accurate physics calculations
true 3d tire simulation with updated Pacejka algorithims
forced induction (turbo/supercharging) simulation
improved vehicle handling
More responsive steering at high speeds
New particle effects for tire smoke/dirt/etc
And more!
Dubai Circuit - Currently in progress:
Testing realtime global illumination and performance overhead of the hotel's parametric glass pane roof, over half a million polys alone!
Improved Racing AI (again)
Improved day/night system
There's a lot more to come, and I look forward to finishing up the Alpha series and re-launching Corona MotorSport this summer! I've also got more exciting news, but I'll save that for a little later ;)
As always,

Update 3.04 patch released
Hey guys,
I just released a small patch for 3.04 to fix some minor issues. Users reported that changing settings in game did not apply to the level after exiting the menu, this has been fixed. A bug that disabled shadows when pressing F12 (default screencap key for Steam) has been fixed. Steam DRM has also been added.
I will be creating a discussion in the forum to list any known bugs, If I miss any please comment there so I can add them to the list.
Cheers!

Update 3.04 is now live!
Hey guys!
After over 7 months of hard work, I have finally finished the update and it is now live on Steam!
Major AI improvements - drivers are smarter, lose control less and are harder to beat
UI overhaul - new main menu and pause menu UI
New HUD design
New car - Factory Five Type 65-R
Added detailed animated suspension system to MK4 and Type 65 coupe
New driver model and improved IK solving
Steering wheel now shakes at high speeds (visual improvement)
New Track - Barcelona
New spawning system - spawning errors and game breaking bugs should be much less frequent when loading a level
New main menu level
New vehicle sound system - realistic engine sounds
Improved geometry of vehicles - added detail to models instead of just using normal maps and textures
New color picker - user can now pick manufacturer colors for each vehicle with different shader properties for added realism
Settings menu - now fully functional and glitch-free - Resolution settings can only be changed before launching game, everything else can be changed in-game.
Monza track - replaced billboard trees with SpeedTree trees, replaced several buildings with more optimized and better looking versions, added pit garages with animated crew
Removed deprecated and redundant assets from build, size slightly reduced
Switched to 64-bit executable - game will only run on 64 bit machines due to performance and RAM requirements. Please let me know if you are on a 32 bit machine so I can try and continue supporting 32 bit if necessary, it is outdated but I won't alienate my customers :)
Performance improvements
Removed features
Vehicles These will all return in the next patch as they are still being worked on
Serato Stretto - currently setting up physics for vehicle
Tonnerre Serpent - Redesigning body and optimizing model
Chevette G1 - Redesigning vehicle
Tracks These will all return in the next patch as they are still being worked on
Daytona - Model is just too hideous and riddled with problems, currently being redesigned
Taghkhanic - Collision issues with track that needed to be fixed
Misc These will all return in the next patch as they are still being worked on
Volumetric Grass - bogged down performance, caused mesh errors (random spots of black and flickering) and is not compiling in Unity 2017
I hope you all enjoy this update and I look forward to finishing Corona MotorSport in the coming months!
As always,

New Trailer for 3.04 out now!!!! | Steam Lunar Sale - 50% off | Some mild ranting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJzYpvjkGXo
Hey Racers, hope you enjoyed the trailer above!
Many of you have probably questioned where the latest version of Corona is and why it has taken so long for a new update to come out, and I'd like to answer why.
When I originally published the first version of Corona MotorSport here, I was not fully satisfied with what I created and even though the game was and is in early access, it wasn't up to my standards. Nearly every update after that felt rushed and I often had to scrap planned features and fixes and continue to push them back to future updates. I ultimately decided to start from scratch and rebuild the game from the ground up, making sure everything works the way it should as efficiently as possible.
I spent countless hours remodeling vehicles. Specifically the low-poly models. I got rid of the crappy texture-mapped panel gaps and replaced them with real panel gaps. I added details, optimized models and created proper logos and badging for all the cars.
I added life-like trees to replace the cheap billboard trees in Monza, and while it may come with a performance impact, I think it looks gorgeous and brings like to the track. I replaced outdated grandstand and building models in Monza and added a pit garage.
I fixed countless bugs and only a few remain, no more glitching through maps or spawning into oblivion. I'll save the rest of this for the build notes...
In addition to all of this, my life has been pretty hectic these past few months as I go through my final year of high school and the process of applying to colleges as well as working on several other projects, both for my company and for others.
Anyways, I look forward to providing continued updates for Corona and finishing it in these next few months. I have very big things planned for release this year so stay tuned!
Also, pick up a copy of Corona if you haven't already, get it while its on sale for Lunar New Year!
