2.06b out now

Hey guys,
My internet browser crashed while I was writing the patch notes for this build but 2.06b is out and I'll add in the notes tomorrow morning, its late and I'm tired :). Download the update now!

New car releasing with Alpha 2.06b

Hey guys,
I've been working real hard on the patch, it'll be out soon. Along with major bugfixes, performance improvements and hole fixes; a new car has been added, the Merseda GT:

I've also been messing with the lighting in Unity and I have gotten global illumination to work properly and I have adjusted the color correction/grading for each level accordingly. The pier shown above will be the new menu scene (I know, I keep changing the scene like every update, I'm picky when it comes to this stuff). Without any optimization, the new menu scene gets around 60-70fps on a GTX 960 4gb on the highest quality level so there shouldn't be too many issues with performance. Update 2.07 will feature the Merseda GT-E, the fully electric version of the GT.

I'll also be updating the engine to Unity 5.3 soon which should bring along some improvements out of the box

As always, Thanks for your continued support and I look forward to releasing 2.06b!

Hotfix 2.06b releasing shortly

Hey guys,
I'm gonna have to release a patch before 2.07 comes out to fix some major issues with the game, namely random holes in the track and some glitches showcased by the youtuber Snuzi. it should be released in about a week and bring some highly needed bugfixes. The weather system also needs some adjustments as sunsets have a wierd mustardy tint at a certain hour and the roads get too shiny during thunderstorms and some fog issues arise as well. I've also noticed that selecting monza on hotlap does absolutely nothing and leaves you at the main menu. And finally, a much needed settinga menu will be added in. I'm also doing some general touchups to the tracks and fixing the floating trees and grandstands, here's a pic of the new ones

A new short layout for monza will also be available.

Also, I finally have gotten racing AI to work properly and I'm in the process of creating path lines for the tracks. The only issue that stands in the way now is performance, since the game lags heavily with multiple cars on the track, so some optimization will have to take place.
I hope you all are enjoying the current update and I apoligize for some of the ridiculous bugs that you may have encountered.
Thank you for your continued support,

Update releasing by Friday

Apoligies for the delay guys, but we are working hard to get this update out. The main menu is nearly complete, and we are permanently readding the stuntplane back in with a full ocean pylon air race course. Like the land races, only a time trial and freemode option will be available until we can code or purchase AI, which won't take long. I can guarantee a release by friday.
Thanks,

Slight delay for update 2.06

Hey guys,
Hope your enjoying the weeklong discount if you haven't gotten a copy yet. I had to delay the update for a few days as there is a little more work that needs to be done. There is a new input system that works with any controller and keyboard, so I need to add in a button remapping option into the settings menu. Also have to finish up the UI for the menu as well. An eta for the update would be around wednsday or thursday. I have a lot of awesome stuff planned for release this year; more cars, more tracks, licensed cars (finally), mod support, VR compatibility and hopefully, multiplayer.
Thank you for your continued support and sorry for the delay,

Update 2.06 releasing March 13th!

Hey guys,
Been very busy with the latest update. So far, numerous bugfixes have been made along with some performance improvements. A full settings menu will (finally) be present with the ability to recall previously saved settings. A new, simple, lag-free menu (the showroom will still be accessible) and a full on weather system (new sky package).

The date will be synched to your system date for accurate sun, moon, and star position calculations while the in-game days will last 24 minutes. This new system will improve overall game performance and increase it's visual quality. Atmospheric scattering has been implemented as well. As the weather changes, so will the qualities of the track. For example if it begins to rain, the track will become more slippery, pretty self explanitory. I hope to have racing AI included in this update, if not, I will be purchasing a different AI physics package as the one I have gotten (was present in earlier versions of the game) is very glitchy, difficult to setup properly and behaves erratically.

We are nearing the one year anniversary (March 13th) of Corona MotorSport's initial launch on steam. It's been a great year and I can't thank you guys enough for your support, I never dreamed of getting this far and I look forward to continue developing for steam for many years to come. I can't provide an exact date as to when corona motorsport will be fully finished and transfer to a full title release but I can promise the journey will be great. As I've mentioned before, I am currently working out licensing deals with several vehicle manufacturers so I can promise many new real-world cars this year. I am planning on doing something big for the one year anniversary so this update will be the best one yet :)
