Development Update
I just wanted to share a development update with everyone. We are still very excited for the future of Counter Spell, even if the speed of development has slowed somewhat. Hugin is still hard at work at University, but the good news is he will be back working full time on Counter Spell this summer. Things will probably be pretty quiet around here until then, with only a few minor updates. Here's what we have planned for the big development push over the summer:
1.) Finishing up the new human character and NPC models and various class specific outfits.
2.) Expanding on the random dungeon generator to create above ground zones for the Reforged realm.
3.) Further refine the new skill and spell system and provide new, enhanced spell visual effects
4.) Implement a new difficulty system and provide proper progression for the Reforged realm
5.) Start expanding the weapon crafting into other weapon types
We can't wait to start exploring new zones and are looking forward to grouping up with everyone again!

With the holidays approaching this will probably be the last update of the year unless I find any more bugs with the MonoGame beta branch. Once I've had a chance to do a full play through of the beta version I will go ahead and make it the main branch.
We have a lot planned for next year, but Counter Spell is still a hobby for both Hugin and I so we can only work on it in our free time. Hugin has been busy with some real life concerns so he has had limited time to work on Counter Spell these last few months.
Here are some of the things we have planned for next year:
-All new fully customizable male and female character models
-Unique outfits for each class
-Additional updates and finalizing of the new skill tree system including new abilities and gameplay systems
-A new dungeon utilizing the random generator that features new assets, a unique story, and multiple boss fights
We are very excited to see these new systems come to life and can't wait to see what the future of Counter Spell brings!
