Patch Notes #3

Soon after the release of a Content Update #2 few issues were found that needed fixing. Thanks to all early players for finding these out :)

What's fixed in the Jail Cells map :


• Checkpoint is working now
• Graphic glitches fixed (weird tiles, ghost...)
• Missing collisions placed
• Dialog character names fixed
• Already found secrets unlocks properly now
• White flashes on transitions fixed
• Additional mummy added to the map

Content Update #2 - New Map & Achievements



Ready to explore dark Jail Cells of the crypts and hunt for achievements?

What's new


Jail Cells - A dark place where terrible things happened in the past. You'll learn a bit more about the hidden cult while trying to get out of this new map. There are also new secrets waiting to be found.
Achievements - This will be great for achievement hunters. There's not many of them yet but more will be added and some of them will be implemented only with the full release. Enjoy the hunt ;)

Changes & Bug fixes


• You can't attack slimes anymore after the explode.
• Some of the maps got minor updates (lights, graphics...)
• Some minor graphic fixes

Excuses


I'm sorry for this big gap between updates but I was on a short vacation after a long time so I wasn't developing for some time.

Next update


Next update will include a new map + new secret map that you'll be able to unlock in one of the maps. So, the update may take a bit longer but it will be worth it.

Checkpoints Update - Die relaxed

What's new


:bkey:Checkpoints - You know those stone objects that replenish your flame? You'll ressurect there if you die now. No more boring walks from the start of the map. There is one catch though. If you die and respawn at the checkpoint, you'll lose 20% of your current gold. So play safe if you want to keep your money.


Changes & Bug fixes


:chopyouup: Mini boss fight from the Reservoir map changed and a bit harder now.
:chopyouup: Some of the pickups were removed from the maps (apples, magic flames).
:chopyouup: Oil Urns travel distance is shorter now
:chopyouup: You can't go through the wall anymore after you press "that" button in the Swers.
:chopyouup: Crash fixed in the Myth the Spiders map after activating "that" lever.
:chopyouup: Secrets found in the Sewers stay unlocked after you finish the map now.
:chopyouup: New secret added to the Sewers.
:chopyouup: New dialog added to the Into the Darkness map.
:chopyouup: Tentacle monster hides properly now after taking enough damage.
:chopyouup: In the sewers, 2 scrolls were showing the same text. There are 2 different texts now.
:chopyouup: In Myth the Spiders map you couldn't get to one of the secrets but you can do it now.
:chopyouup: Music volume set in options works properly now.
:chopyouup: Object that should stay beneath player won't popup above the player now.

Warnings


• Checkpoints should work great but there may be some bugs hiding around so let me know if you find any so I can fix them asap.

• None!

Have fun and sorry again to keep you dying with huge consequences. New map Jail Cells is coming out next week so be ready for another step on your adventure.

Patch Notes #2

With the latest content update some game breaking bugs found their way into the crypts but the issues were fixed now.

Fixes:


  • In 'Myth the Spiders' map, moving block was leaving invisible collision blocks behind it which made it impossible to finish the map. You can finish it now.
  • In 'Crypt Sewers' you could pass the broken bridge without "doing some work" which made it possible to finish the map really quickly without much effort. You'll have to work hard for it now.
  • Sewers border tiles fixed


I'm sorry for all the troubles but as you should know, crypts are a dangerous place, full of mysteries and magic. I'm fighting through as hard as I can.

There it is, first content update for the Courier of the Crypts!

What's new


:bkey:Crypt Sewers - From the Reservoir, your path leads through the dark sewers where the spawn has risen from the smelly waters. Will you find your way out?
:bkey:New enemy (slime)
:bkey:Arachnophobic filter - Are you afraid of spiders? Do you find it a hard time hiding, running and fighting spiders? Fear not, go to options and turn on the filter to get something less spidy.
:bkey:Rumble effects - You can now turn off rumble effects in options

Changes & Bug fixes


:chopyouup: Tileset fixes where borders weren't quite as black as the background.
:chopyouup: Some sequences locked the player while the spiders could attack you. Sequences are now "safe zones".
:chopyouup: Dialog and scroll texts mistakes fixed.
:chopyouup: Sewer tentacles will stay longer under water if you hit them.
:chopyouup: Tiny map updates (tiles changed more or less)

Excuses


• Checkpoints are still not done because the issue is even bigger than I thought. I won't release anything new before this gets done though.
• This content update is missing one map that I've promised because it's still not finished. It's not what I want it to be so I rather excluded it. Quality over quantity right?
• Supporters Graveyard will take a bit longer because I want to push more content out first but it is on the priority list.

Patch Notes #1

Just after the launch, some bugs, glitches and other problems were found and fixed right away.

Fixes:



  • Game won't crash in the map selection if you want to move in the direction without a path.
  • Already found secrets in the finished map have the invisible collision blocks removed.
  • On some occasions spiders ran through the walls or stopped in the attacking animation.
  • Misterious 'L' key binding which changed camera focus removed
  • Added dialog at the start of the "Myth the Spiders" map.
  • If you were lucky, you could trigger a torch in the cultists cut scene at the start of the "Into the Darkness" map. You won't get lucky again.
  • Some dialog text changes & typo fixes

  • Crash in fullscreen if you press ALT+TAB
