NEW MUSIC: Listen to two tracks from Creaks: Bonus, Live & Remixes
We're happy to share with you the first single from the upcoming album Creaks: Bonus, Live & Remixes, set to release for download and streaming this November 11. Listen to the first two tracks - an energetic live version of 'Three Islands' and an epic remix of 'Palace End' by Floex (aka Tomáš Dvořák) below, or on your platform of choice via this link. If you'd like to support the new release, please make sure you check out Hidden Orchestra's Bandcamp.
Here's what Joe Acheson (aka Hidden Orchestra) had to say about the new record:
"I'm very excited to share this unusual and interesting collection of tracks, revisiting and expanding upon the Creaks album, with seven new tracks developed from the soundtrack, two live versions recorded earlier this year in Luxembourg, and seven remixes from a diverse selection of artists who all have some tangential connection with the original album - including Floex, Poppy Ackroyd, Ben Lukas Boysen and Tommy Perman.
The wildly reimagined bass clarinet and drum-fuelled version of Three Islands and Floex's intense synth-laden reinterpretation of Palace End nicely represent some of the range of the full record.. I hope you find something to enjoy."
Creaks Finally Gets Its Steam Trading Cards Set!
It took us a while, but the Steam Trading Cards set that some of you have been waiting for is finally live! You know how it works - collect the entire set of 5 cards by playing the game and trading with other players, craft a badge and get rewards. If you're in it just for the rewards, you'll also find all emoji and profile backgrounds from this set in the Points Shop.
What's special about this set is that the cards feature a brand new series of pictures highlighting the characters' unique personalities and giving you a closer look at their designs. We hope they were worth the wait and that they'll motivate you to some trading:) Have you got a favorite?
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and have fun collecting!
Phonopolis - a new adventure from Amanita Design!
We’re excited to introduce Phonopolis - a new hand-crafted adventure set in a dystopian city made of cardboard where everybody obeys the oppressive Leader's orders - except for one young man… Enjoy the first teaser trailer! It’s still going to take us a generous amount of time to finish the game - please don’t expect it to come out within the next 12 months - but we’re so glad to finally be able to share the first bits and pieces with you.
You can now add Phonopolis to your Steam wishlist. You'll also find a collection of new screenshots on its Steam page; and on its News hub, there's a post where you can read more about the game's story, inspirations, and creative process. And it's also the place where we'll be sharing further updates ːsamorost_spiritː
To celebrate the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase on Steam, Radim Jurda and Jan Chlup, the two creative minds behind the art and puzzles of Creaks, will take you through various parts of the game in just about 45 minutes. Enjoy!
Please note: The footage is pre-recorded and will be looped throughout the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase.
Creaks is the Czech Game of the Year 2020!
Holy crrrrreaks!!!
Last night was very special for us and we're delighted to share our immense excitement with you. Creaks took home two (!!) awards from the Czech Game of the Year 2020 ceremony - not only did our game succeed in the "Best Graphics and Audio" category, but the jury also decided it was the very best Czech game of the year! We can still hardly believe it, as the competition was crazy strong. Be sure to check out the full list of nominees - games such as Someday You'll Return or Ministry of Broadcast absolutely deserve your attention.
Thank you guys so much for supporting us on this journey! Let's see what the future has in store for us :)
Here's Radim and Jan just being happy. Cheers to them and the entire team! ːpraisesunː
The Mind-Bending Worlds: A new collaborative bundle
The mind-bending worlds of Creaks, DARQ (Unfold Games) and The Pedestrian (Skookum Arts) come together to form a cool new Steam bundle!
Both DARQ and The Pedestrian are great puzzle games set in very different unique worlds so be sure to check them out, especially if you enjoyed the immersion and relaxed pace of Creaks. All 3 games are on sale right now and you can get the whole bundle at 62% off! ːpraisesunː It's also a very good opportunity to complete the bundle if you already own one or two of the games.
The artwork for this bundle which highlights some of the key elements of each of the included games was created by our own Jan Chlup, one of the artists who worked on Creaks. We hope you like it!
LIVE: Creaks developers play Creaks!
Join the designers and artists Radim Jurda and Jan Chlup, two of the creative forces behind Amanita Design's immersive puzzler Creaks, for an hour-long developer stream, starting tonight at 8 PM CET. The guys are excited to share with you a little bit of insight into the game (join us in chat!), but why are we streaming today of all days?
You wouldn't believe how many fantastic games have been made in Czechia and Slovakia, and so many more are being developed right now. Seriously, just take a look. This week, on the occasion of the national holiday of November 17, is a celebration of all of them, taking place on Steam and beyond. In total, over 260 games from 116 game development studios will take part in the Games Week and, of course, there are DEALS, with some devs offering their games at up to 90 % off. This year the week also premiers a number of side events and online streams.
We're very proud to be part of this event, and would like to invite you to visit the event page and maybe find some new games to play, grab some deals and tune in to a few streams. We hear that there are even some new announcements (not ours) coming this Wednesday at 7PM CET from the Czech and Slovak Direct broadcast...
Happy Game from Amanita Design is OUT NOW!
The latest Amanita Design game has just landed on Steam!
It’s Happy Game, our darkest, creepiest, and most twisted adventure so far, coming from the team behind Botanicula and CHUCHEL.
Happy Game is an absurd horror adventure game designed by Jaromír Plachý, who previously brought you the family-friendly games Botanicula and CHUCHEL. This time, however, Jaromír decided to make something a little less cheerful, and the result of his team’s work is a psychedelic journey through a little boy’s three horrible nightmares, each with its own style, creatures and puzzles.
Get in the proper mood with the very happy launch trailer: [previewyoutube="u7XQpAKqB7s;full"]
Once again, we’re very happy to have worked with our favorite Czech music duo DVA, who created all of the spooky sounds and music for Happy Game. The original soundtrack is also available to purchase on Steam and is coming later to streaming services as well.
Please note: Happy Game is not a happy game.

Also! Please feel free to download and use the artwork above as wallpaper, if you wish. It was created just now by the game's artist Jan Chlup, and it highlights the phenomenal works of all 6 winners ːchuchelsmileː
