Update 1.1.2.2

this new update includes the following changes and new features:

- 3d live Mini-Map is now replacing the old compass system that helped with navigation.
this small 3d representation of the map not only reacts to your orientation but also provides live radar info , shows where attacks are happening and even the explosions nearby.

- this update went back to the old 4 carrier formation for defending the portal gate. it was simply more challenging than the triple carrier formation.

- carriers also have another ability now, in 250m radius they will be able to EMP enemies, this ability recharges at rapid rate of 3 sec, making bypassing a carrier towards the gate nearly impossible.
well unless you and your team have a genius plan of some sort!

- EMP VFX is improved .

- Light-wings class , first ability (B-link) was nerfed for balancing reasons, the maximum distance to the teleportation with B-link is reduced by 30%.

- Carrier- Stinger missiles are also just slightly faster than before.

NEW USER INTERFACE IS HERE! (v 1.1.2.1)

Crossfar's new user interface is set in a beautiful scene , where you and your team gathered in a battleship's hangar, are looking upon the arena and the amazing scenery behind it, and it does not end there.
camera interactions with your mouse is absolutely awesome.

other than just beauty , the user interface is changed almost entirely, the key elements and navigations are still faithful to the old easy to access and elaborative and descript design of the old. but with improvements to how elements look, perform and function.

other than user interface the ping compensator algorithm which we introduced a while ago, (absolute beast of a tech) has now received another update, while you probably would never sense its existence when playing (that's the whole point of this system) , this beautiful algorithm is making sure that small amounts of ping wont be sensed at all.

this small update fixes the details artifacts caused by new outline shaders included in the update we had 2 days ago...

hats off to the players who informed me about this issue through support email.
keep it coming. feedback is always appreciated and is part of the reason why the gameplay experience is so flawless these days.

Crossfar major update 1.1.1.9

version 1.1.1.9 brings along so many upgrades to the already existing solid multiplayer experience we have. briefly listed below is what you can expect to see in this update:

1- major upgrades to our unique stylized shaders.
2- multiple particle systems and visual effects received further love and optimization ,while the new versions of the effects look even better than the old ones they are easier to render for your beloved graphic cards. this only means even higher FPS rates. this also reduces the minimum system requirements for this game which will be updated on store page after new hardware tests are conducted.
3- major changes to environment and atmospheric aesthetics of the game.
4- new sound layers added to gameplay in multiplayer mode, crowd audience now reacts to players every move with different appropriate audio cues.

other than sound and visual upgrades there were also some new features to gameplay as well.

1- Field-Bomber class offensive ability "Bombardment" is changed fundamentally. the bombs explosion radius is reduced to half, but number of bombs released is increased from 4 to 8, also these new bombs move much more unpredictably and make it much harder to dodge them. they also now detonate on proximity to enemy targets automatically.

2- Field-Bombers defensive ability "Mines" are now deployed in front of the drone instead of behind. this helps with easier positioning of your explosive traps.

2- Battle-Wings class defensive ability (smoke screen) is changed fundamentally as well. the new smoke flares can now intercept incoming missiles on proximity. instead of 4 the number of smoke bombs released is increased to 16 and they spread out in all directions around your drone. building a layer of safety against incoming missiles for a very short time. although its not guaranteed that the missile will be tarped by the flares this, these new feature increases your survivability for sure if you are a Battle-Wings player . at the end of their short travel the flares will still explode into smoke bombs and provide concealment as before helping with retreat or advancing maneuvers .

3- Battle-Wings Torpedo missile proximity sonar power was nerfed , making it a bit more prone to miss targets sometimes . so now torpedo's are more likely to require manual detonation at times. specially when the target is too close to solid cover these missile are now less likely to catch their smell. in open areas they pretty much perform the same as before with only a lower sonar frequency rate. this was done to balance the ability and make it more skill based.

Update 1.1.1.8

Animations... 1.1.1.8 is all about animations.
I've been meaning to do this for quiet a while now, drones are much more responsive to players every action this way.
of course there was plenty of visual and audio cue, but some extra immersion never hurts.
every shot fired, every missile, dash, EMP, dodge every cannon reload, everything is now animated to smallest details, handsomely!
in the end its hard to explain in words so hop in game and see what's changed when you got time for it!

Update 1.1.1.7

there has been gameplay changes and also updates to some gameplay features in 1.1.1.7
we realized the gunplay could have been more fun with a few changes and those changes are implicated and available now.

1- the drone classes mentioned below had a noticeable increase in main gun fire rate.
(battle wing - light wings - battle core - field bomber)

2- this update introduces the guns lock system which helps with calculating where you need to aim at depending on distance and trajectory of your weapons and your locked targets distance and speed.

3- range finder system is now automatically adaptive to the distance of your current locked target. moving your aim reticle down range to your target so you can aim more efficiently.

4- given the fire rates have been increased , the AI controlled larger vessels such as carriers had an increase in their maximum HP points as well for keeping things well balanced.

Update 1.1.1.6

this update introduces the following features:

1-6 new soundtracks.
2-adaptive in game ambient music designed to elevate the overall gameplay experience.
3-also if it sounds distracting to more competitive players the options for turning off the music is also included in options menu.

1.1.1.5 is a small update including the following changes.

1.main menu Drone display controls are changed.
2.upgrades to shaders and reflections.
3.small bugs fixed.

Crossfar update 1.1.1.4

114th official update released on 5/1/2023 is a small update.

1-new map features added to PVP game modes.
2-camera field of view options are added to in game options menu which allows players to decide how wide their camera FOV will be. (90° min - 120° max)
having this option makes the game even more enjoyable on widescreens so we highly recommend testing it out.
3-aesthetic changes to PVP lobby.

1.1.1.3 is our 113th official update. thanks to the community that brought amazing feedback during last year I managed to shape a pretty good game into a fantastic game! below is the list of most important changes in the newly released update.

2 NEW SOLO-PLAYER GAME MODES


probably the most exciting news is 2 new game modes in which you can challenge your drone-piloting skills and harden yourself for PVP battles.

these new game modes are designed to be appealing to both casual and competitive players, as fun to play obstacle courses you can engage with for hours and beat your last best or even end up on the top 10 highest score list presented to all others playing the same challenge on the billboards around the map so they can look up to the finest!

you will be guided by the lovely Lt .Aurelia Gordon.
she admires good pilots but is really hard to impress given its her job to train the best. so be prepared to get sassed or praised by her as you take on the obstacle courses.
also you can expect special interactions that are made for special occasions in game!

PVP SCORE SYSTEM IS IMPROVED


thanks to all the feedback and data collected, I realized a traditional score system based on K/D does not quiet do justice in Crossfar as different roles have different tasks in the game.
new score system introduces class based scoring which grants you Ulti-points and experience based on your role specific activities in the game. the new UI/UX changes also provide fantastic feedback on points scored. and makes it easier to keep track of how effecting your actions are in your team's progression.
this helps to further balance the game for all types of players with different play styles.


UI/UX quality of life features


there are so many improvements and added new features to in-game UI & HUD, these necessary features helps players get better feedback on the quality and quantity of outcomes of their actions in game alongside the points received for certain actions and can be a tool to help with learning curve to new players as well as adding more excitement and immersion to the gameplay.

GAMEPLAY, OPTIONS AND PERSONALIZATION IMPROVEMENTS


it was pretty smooth I know! but when you play this new update you might feel certain improvements to the smoothness of aiming experience and gunplay , movement , personalization options are improved to be helpful to impact your personal desired controls experience while piloting your drone.
