February community suggestions on improving Crossout. Developers’ comment
Survivors! The Crossout official Discord server has the “suggestions-en” channel, where you can submit your ideas on improving the game and vote for suggestions of other players. We would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who posts and votes in the channel (we always read all of your suggestions) and helps us to make our favorite game even better.
For this article, we have selected some of the suggestion submitted in February 2025 and provided commentary on your ideas from our perspective.
The development process is harder than it may seem. If any suggestion is mentioned in this text, it doesn’t automatically guarantee that it will be implemented into the game.
Suggestions and comments
Significantly larger skybox in bedlam
Considering bedlam is all just tomfoolery, a higher skybox would be nice. So rockets and similar can be used as artillery, or for jet builds to really have space to fly
This would cause your player base to rise by 500% because you listen to your community
Comment: “Bedlam” was originally conceived as a platform for exploring the tactical features of the map, free from the time constraints of combat modes. We are glad that players liked it and gave it more life than just a testing ground. However, we think it’s important to keep the original focus of the mode, especially for the newcomers to the community.
Battle Royale
Bring back Battle Royale as a temporary event game mode with a separate scale of valuable rewards.
It would diversify the monotonous brawls.
Comment: The decision to discontinue the mode was due to a general drop in interest and low popularity among both PC and console players. In addition, its large map and the great number of participants led to noticeable lags in combat. As the number of players decreased, the mode itself became more boring. Therefore, we do not plan to bring back the “Battle Royale” in its original form.
Right now, we are focused on optimizing and updating the game engine to meet the demands of the newest technology.
Perhaps we will come back to the discussion of redesigning the mode in the future, but at the moment it is unlikely.
Connection Points
Adds connection points at the corners.
The Helicon has extra angles screwed on to cover this area and then has no connection even though there are obviously screw holes
Comment: Thank you for the feedback and for your attention to detail. We will be adding new weld points to “Helicon” in the April update, as well as to “Waltz”. We are also revising other parts to which we could add weld points in later updates.
Points for perks
Give players who use Mars and Cohort cabins points for the damage that allies deal/reflect.
The cabins will be more useful
Comment: We believe that cabins that give bonuses to allies are useful enough as they are. It is not necessary to reward the use of their perks with additional points, because such perks are used primarily on the player themself, while allies are often affected coincidentally. In such cases, the player does not sacrifice anything for the bonuses.
Loading screens
Make loading screens more interesting by adding the display of a random beautiful screenshot from some location, ideally the exact location you are loading to. Example below
Nice aesthetic variety
Comment: Thank you for the attached reference, we appreciate the time and thought you’ve put into it. We agree that such a change will bring variety and make the waiting less boring. We will consider implementing your suggestion in the future.
Exhibition
Add the possibility to exclude builds with particular parts from the search at the Exhibition. Let’s say I want to find a build with a certain weapon and with any cabin other than “X”, but I have to scroll through a bunch of blueprints with that cabin.
This will make looking for builds at the Exhibition easier.
Comment: Thank you for your suggestion, we included it in the plan for future updates.
Skadi
Add visual effects for the perk.
The complete lack of visual effect of the perk makes it seem that it’s not there.
Comment: Thank you for your feedback. We are looking at ways to incorporate this change into our summer update plans.
That’s it for today. See you in battles!
Weapons upgrades at a reduced cost!
Hello! If you had plans to upgrade the weapons on your armoured vehicle or change the bonuses on the ones that you’ve already upgraded, now is the best time to do so! During the event, you will only need one additional part (the same as the one you’re upgrading). Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
The event is available from 12:00 GMT on April 17 to 23:59 GMT on April 20!
Please note that some parts are NOT participating in the event:
The reduced upgrade cost is not available for parts from the reward scale of the current season and/or event.
A number of other specific parts also can’t participate in the event. Please check the in-game list of eligible parts.
What to expect in the upcoming update. April 2025
Hello, survivors! We hope that the search for the Easter eggs in the Garage is going well. While the Founders are preoccupied with the construction work at the “Cradle of mind”, the next update is coming closer. It’s time to once again share the most recent news about the upcoming new features.
Familiar brawls, including the “Steel troopers” will return. There will also be a visual rework of a weapon and some balance changes. Later, in May, there will be a new event with a reward scale. Let’s get into the details!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.
Brawls in the update
There will be a total of six brawls in the upcoming update! Some of those were launched not that long ago, and some have not been present in the Wasteland for years, for example, the “Knight tournament”. The mode will have new steel mounts for the valiant knights to dash around the arenas with a bunch of rechargeable spears.
Prepare to get into the robot, survivors. “Steel troopers” are back, and that means we will once again exterminate the despicable Ravager spiders and fight their big brother. This time, the expedition has attracted the attention of the Founders, who replaced the robotic legs of one of the walkers with a special movement part of their design. Wait, they produce robotic legs now?
The most legendary designs from the Exhibition will also arrive in the next update. The Founders also left their mark on these creations and some of the new builds from the “Legends of the exhibition” have new weapons from this faction.
Survivors, the spring is already blooming in the Valley, which means it’s time for the “Spring mayhem”! The Brotherhood is ready for a major warm-up for the glory of the Wasteland in the signature Crossout team brawl.
The update will also bring back the beloved “Big Black Scorpions” and the ambivalent “Ice and fire” brawls.
Ravagers’ experiments and Founders’ robotic legs
We hope you’re glad that sisters Mary and Jane decided to stay in the Valley after the “Wasteland drift” season (as many survivors have predicted). The risk-loving loot huntresses are keeping a close eye on the Founders’ massive supplies for the “Cradle of mind” project. What are they building over there?..
It seems that the Ravagers are also conducting some sort of experiments in the depths of the “Cradle”, creeping out the Founders’ workers. But our daring storage raiders are not so easily spooked. The new event reward scale promises many valuable prizes!
The Founders are forced to constantly protect the “Cradle of mind” from many various gangs. To improve the defenses, they decided to upgrade the robotic legs they have in their own style, and created something powerful to protect the project led by Aris and his Ravagers.
Other nice surprises
The next update will bring a lot of small pleasant improvements to the Wasteland. Among them are the visual rework of the “Avenger 57mm” cannon. We touched up everything, from the textures to the model and effects. Serve your vengeance cold… and cool!
The update will bring lots of various improvements and reworks, as well as fixes for some known bugs and the previously announced balance changes (you can see more details here and here).
That’s all for today. See you in future developer blog entries and other news! Good luck in battles!
“Taming the dragon” PvE brawl
Hello! Gather a team of allies to act together in unison and destroy all enemies without leaving them a single chance at using their unique abilities against you!
Attention! The brawl will be available from April 17 to April 23 inclusive!
“Taming the dragon” is a PvE brawl for 4 players, with the familiar mechanic of resisting waves of enemies.
A group of players is given a limited amount of time, which can be replenished by destroying enemies and avoiding the destruction of their car. Additional time is also granted for completing a wave.
If one player’s vehicle gets destroyed, the teammates have the ability to restore the destroyed player back to the battle faster than waiting for the player to be automatically respawned. To do this, you need to get to the place where the player was destroyed and wait for the special recovery scale to fill up.
Among your opponents, you will encounter enemies with a variety of roles. To win and survive as long as possible, you need to take their features into account:
Berserker — increased damage, but high vulnerability.
Cryomancer — uses cryogenic and energy weapons. Leaves a puddle of refrigerant after being destroyed.
Rocker — increases the damage of all allies in a certain radius around himself.
Chief — after his destruction, all allies in this wave receive a permanent bonus to the damage they deal.
Tank — has powerful armour due to increased damage resistance of his parts.
Communicator — calls for reinforcements some time after the player enters the detection zone.
Hunter — when dealing damage to players, he leaves a mark on them that increases the damage dealt to them. Destroying the Hunter removes the mark.
Defender — creates an aura of invulnerability on all allies within a certain radius around himself.
The final amount of rewarded resources (copper and plastic) depends on how many waves you survive and how many points you score.

Planned balance changes of the upcoming update, April 2025. Second test
Hello! We would like to remind you that the second stage of testing of the planned balance changes starts today. We have reviewed the results of the first stage, your feedback and the results of the latest survey and implemented the following changes:
Tengu
Cooldown time increased from 4 to 6 sec. (instead of 7 sec. before).
Increased the perk’s blocking time after contact with an enemy from 2 to 3 sec.
Developer comment: in this form, the change doesn’t significantly reduce “Tengu’s” effectiveness with careful gameplay.
All robotic legs
Removed the jumping mechanic.
Developer comment: based on the results of the first testing and survey, we decided not to implement this mechanic into the game, as its effect on the effectiveness of armoured vehicles with robotic legs contradicts our initial goal (to diversify gameplay without a noticeable effect on the effectiveness of robotic legs).
All shotguns (except “Arothron”)
Increased the projectile’s radius.
Developer comment: the change should increase the percentage of hits from shotguns, making dealing damage with them more stable.
Hippogriff
Perk active time reduced from 7 sec. to 6 sec. (instead of 10 sec. increase before)
Perk recharge time reduced from 25 sec. to 12 sec. (instead of 20 sec. before)
Developer comment: the change will allow using the cabin’s perk more often.
Punji
Active time increased from 25 sec. to 45 sec.
Recharge time increased from 8 sec. to 15 sec.
Stake activation time increased from 0.8 sec. to 2.5 sec.
Stake durability increased from 30 pts. to 100 pts.
Developer comment: these changes together with the connection range increase are aimed at increasing “Punji’s” relevance as a guarding tool and reducing its efficiency as an enemy destruction tool.
You can find the full list of changes as well as instructions on how to launch the test server here
Removing upgrades from parts
Hello, survivors! It’s been a while since we last had an upgrade removal event. Wasteland residents even started saying that it might have been a myth. Has it ever really happened? Time to put those talks to rest!
We would like to remind you that during the event you can use a certain number of upgrade stabilizers of the same rarity to remove upgrades from a part of that rarity. After that, the part will become tradable.
During the event, the trading of stabilizers on the market will be disabled. If you have a lot of “rare” or “special” stabilizers, you can use them to create rarer stabilizers at the Engineers workbench.
The special will be available from 12:00 GMT on April 11 until 05:00 GMT on April 14
Please note that some parts are not participating in the event: you will not be able to remove upgrades from parts that are part of the current “Shadow business” event, as well as parts from the last three seasons (including the current one)
