Crumble - Update 1.085
Small update, fixing some bugs and small level design optimization!
Bugs:
Fixed a rare bug that would allow you to do a mega super jump at the end of any "2D" level type
Bright light evolving into a massive black hole on your screen and eating away your display has been tamed, it is now much less likely to happen! (It used to happen in level 5C and 6)
Optimization:
The bloom emitted by the lava has been reduced by 30%
Level 5A, 5B, 5C, and 5D are now a little bit easier (more frequent checkpoints and more tolerant precision platforming)
In Level 1C a wooden log has been scaled up near the end of the race
And a small announcement: next week Crumble is going to get Animated community items! Such as:
Have a great week-end everyone! ːcrumbleː
Crumble - Update 1.08
A lot of small stuffs, including the annoying random crash when finishing a world. Here they are:
Features:
A gameplay option has been added to the game, it is called "Camera assist" and will allow you to turn on/off the automatic camera turning event in some levels. It is on by default.
The score required to unlock stars in levels has been greatly improved to make it easier to unlock, around 1 minute added to each stars (roughly).
Bugs:
Random crash happening when completing a new world has been fixed, if you're still experiencing crashes please report them in this update entry! ːsurprisedstarː
Removed the "Infinite Jump" cheat that was hidden in the terminal
Coming back from the transition scene when loading a level to the main menu will not bug out the cinematic black bands anymore
When going into the trigger event in 2A (bursting out of the clouds) and reloading the level, the player's movement will now be properly reset.
The blob achievement in the demo version of Crumble is now completely fixed!
Optimization:
The automatic turn event will now trigger only past a fixed velocity threshold. Making slow turns less confusing.
Added death triggers behind the last choochoo train in 3E
The stuttering of the player in 2A has been greatly reduced
Some colliders have been optimized to deal with high velocity more efficiently, especially in 2E with the snakes!
Some UI sizes have been polished
Camera event in 3B (the air hoops thingy) has been polished, you won't get stuck on a random platform with a still camera watching you slowly fall to your death.
I would like to thank「PyNe」 for working on finding most of those little bugs and optimization issues! ːhappysunfaceː
What's next?:
I'm still working hard on the Nintendo Switch version, I plan on supporting more languages; for now Crumble supports: English/French/Spanish/German/Russian/Japanese/Chinese. And I want to finish working on extra optional levels to release on the same day as the Switch port! A tool to customize skins (with workshop too) is in gear. Lastly I'm working on adding Stickers/Animated backgrounds/Animated profile pictures and other steam community stuffs that I think look very cool ːcrumbleː
Have a great day everyone!
Update - Final Crumble demo
Update only for the demo:
The new demo is up, with a brand new millisecond leaderboard, new supported languages and better optimization. Now i'm just waiting on valve to validate my trading cards concepts so I can spam the crumble emoticons.
Crumble - Update 1.07
Small update concerning new languages:
Features:
Chinese, Japanese and Russian added!
Optimization:
The font used for UI texts has been optimized and now takes 8x less memory to load. This should solve some crash issues on leaderboard load.
The new demo is coming shortly after and will mark the end of the post-launch small fixes and updates. Very big stuff are next.
Crumble - Update 1.06
Let's get right to it:
Bugs:
Fixed the return button in audio settings having a weird backdrop
Fixed a crash occurring for some players after loading the leaderboard once they leave a level
The language debug key has been removed so you won't get stuck on french forever (hon hon)🥖
Features:
Some additional texts have been added to the translation dictionary
The Party Mode menu is now more clear on how to select levels
Speedrunner option to erase current progress has been added, it is located inside the option tab in the main menu, it is called "Reset progress" and will have confirmation required (this will only reset your local best time and stars, not your skins or blobs collected, also it doesn't erase your scores of the leaderboard obviously)
Spanish language added
Mouse cursor will now disappear when using the controller in menus
Some other small stuff were fixed such as the UI for the leaderboard being more clear. The next things on my list are chinese, japanese and russian translations, and a new demo to upload with all that good stuff. If you want me to translate the game to a specific language please tell me and I'll add it to the list.
