Dear Explorers,

Here's a surprise update for you: Curious Expedition 2 is now also available in French, German, Japanese and Korean!

We're really excited to make the game available to a new audience, and we'd love to hear your impressions before the Steam Early Access phase ends at the beginning of 2021.

These 4 new languages, in addition to English and Simplified Chinese, are all the ones we will support for now. Once version 1.0 is released we will consider involving our community to crowdsource the localisation in other languages, like we did for the first game.

If you'd like to support us please tell your friends about the game, ask your favourite streamers to play it and if you encounter any issues, you can submit a report using the Bug! button in the bottom left corner of the screen.

New release date and upcoming price increase

Dear Explorers,

Those of you who have been paying close attention might remember that we planned to release version 1.0 of Curious Expedition 2 in the fall of 2020. Today we'd like to announce that we're going to slightly postpone the release to early 2021 — the exact date will be communicated in the new year (via pigeon and through other channels).

Why this delay? For a mix of different reasons. First of all, just like everyone else in the world, the ongoing pandemic has affected us as well. The Maschinen-Mensch team has been working remotely from home since March, and while during this period we still managed to launch the Early Access and regular monthly content updates, it has of course slowed us down a bit. So we decided it's best to take a few extra weeks of time to make sure the game is as polished as possible for the 1.0 release, rather than rushing things.

Additionally, there's a lot going on right now, both in the world and in the videogame industry, with plenty of new major releases coming out, so we thought waiting for a more quiet period could benefit the game by bringing more attention to it.

We have one more content update planned for the game during the Early Access period (Alpha 12), after which we will be mainly focusing on balancing and adjusting all the small details to provide you the best possible experience.

One more thing: Curious Expedition 2's price will increase soon, in just a few a days! The game has grown considerably since it launched on Early Access, and now we feel it's the right time to switch to its full price, as planned since the start. So if you haven't bought the game yet, now it might be a good time to do it. And remember that if you own the first Curious Expedition on Steam, you can get the Collection Bundle and get 10% off on Curious Expedition 2 .

Adventure awaits!
