Monthly Leaderboard Patch
These patch notes are going to be short and sweet...

We have just added monthly leaderboards to the game. Restart Steam to force the update. Looking forward to seeing even more competition over high scores, who is consistant enough to stay on the top each month, and who just got lucky?

A Month After Release and Still No Solution
Yesterday marked one month from the release of Cycle 28. In so many ways we've been blown away by the response from players, reviewers, and the growing Cycle 28 community.

But one of the most exciting things for us as devs has been watching the monumental effort put into the puzzle of Cycle 28 by a number of players. It's been fantastic to watch the collective efforts, info sharing, theories, etc, in our discord channel and here on Steam.

So much work done, but still so much to do it would seem. We still haven't had a solution to the mystery of Cycle 28, so we haven't been able to award the Pill Bug Golden Ticket.

It's only been a month, so we haven't given up hope - and neither has the community...

We will be showing Cycle 28 in Cardiff this weekend!
Dave and I will be at the Arcade Vault's Player Nation event this Saturday in Cardiff. If you are local it would be great to say hi. We will be giving away some Pill Bug Interactive goodies, some for free and others which you'll have to work for by getting high scores on Cycle 28.

We have been blown away by the positive response to Cycle 28 and want to thank everyone who has supported us along the way. To celebrate we are excited to release a review round-up trailer which includes quotes from reviewers and steam curators who have given their opinions on Cycle 28.

Launch Week Round Up
It's been a hectic week here at Pill Bug HQ. There have been ups and downs. We first want to thank our amazing community for being there for us throughout everything. It has been exciting watch things heat up on the leaderboard, rivalries have already formed on twitch and on the discord.

We have seen an amazing number of YouTubers and steamers play the game, so many that we decided to make an highlight reel to say thank-you.

Launch Weekend Highlight Reel
The launch weekend for Cycle 28 was incredible. We thought that we might have a few streamers and let's players posting videos. Our play was to post all the videos in a steam annoucement but there were too many to keep up with!

Patch Notes 12th March
We just pushed out a tiny update with two tweaks:


  • Fixed a weird bug with the text rendering (if you watched Stealelves stream you would have seen it)
  • Slightly reduced the debris effect. Watching high level play since launch we have seen that it can get a bit much. Reducing might also help with performance on integrated graphics cards.
