After the huge The Fallen Order update yesterday, we found and fixed a few issues.
Added an option to invert mouse-y movement.
Fixed a world streaming bug and improved performance on host when playing with multiple players.
Monsters now can't spawn directly into a NPC base.
Synchronized player relations with hostile NPC characters.

New World Generation
Game world now is streamed and created on the fly after initial generation of the world. This allows the game to have more stuff in the world without crashing the system memory. New generation is also a lot faster and can be sent to other players with ease.
New Multiplayer
We remade the multiplayer with a new multiplayer system, which allows easier access to each other’s game as the traffic is handled by the server. The New system also allows us to do more things. We had to design and remake everything on all the systems, which control the multiplayer of the game. However it was worth the effort!
The Fallen Order
We added a new NPC base occupied by hostile characters. The Base is led by cult leader Lucius Blackwood. Together they form the Fallen Order.
Take care when approaching the base as they might capture you and demand you to answer for your actions. You can try to join them or challenge them. Your fate is in your hands when you are dealing with the Fallen Order.
Cars
Drivable cars reworked Drivable cars now have better physics. Cars now have improved audio, effects and graphics. People in cars now move smoothly with the car instead of bugging around.
Broken cars Broken cars now have optimized graphics, which allows the city to have a lot more of them.
Enemies
Improved normal zombie animations.
Large zombie reworked Large zombies have been updated with new graphics, sounds and animations. They now also new behavior to fight off players.
Ghost reworked Ghost now seeks for players and does a charging attack instead of the old instant kill.
Animal
You can now interact with animals. This allows you to tame them and to have a companion while surviving in the city. Tamed animals follow you and fight with you against the monsters. They gain experience from fighting and become stronger.
Crafting
Crafting an object is now on default at leg height and can be adjusted with scroll wheel. Smelting ammo requires a full clip to prevent player from making infinite ammo.
Throwable items
Added a brand new system for throwable items. The First throwable item is a flare. It attracts enemies. You can for instance use it to escape enemies that are chasing you.
Guns
Updated shotgun with new graphics. Added a shotgun reload sound. Firearms now do more damage to monsters.
Player
New onair detection for player. This improves behaviour when on ledges and in stairs. Updated player crouch animations. Added a new player skin. Player movement animation now wont stop some attack animations from playing when attacking repeatedly.
Player sounds Added new vaulting & gun equip sounds.
Added a new walking on wood sound effect. Walking on tiles SFX:s have now increased volume.
Menu
Fixed menu player character. Added an ability to change character view angles in menu. Updated footer with better graphics for the buttons. Profile menu now shows friends that are online & in-game in Steam.
Misc
Added more unique UI icons to different objects.
New Campfire fire effects.
Stopped zombie corpse colliders from going wild.
Game now saves online stats during game.
Update 0.85 Released!
Today we released a smaller patch, which improves certain aspects of the game.
Enemy
Updated zombie corpse colliders.
Added more harder hit animations.

NPC
Improved NPC animations.
NPCs now turn to player if they talk.
NPCs now need to be interacted when starting the conversation for missions.

Today we released an update to the public, which includes improved zombie behaviour, fixes and small improvements.
Enemy
Zombie corpses now create correct particles when hit.
Zombie corpses now start in the same pose that the zombie was in.
Fixed enemy attacks that happened without attack animation.
New hit reaction animations & sounds to zombies.
NPC
Optimized NPC characters.
NPC characters now walk back to their position, if they were pushed by the player.
NPC speech subtitles are now scaled properly.
NPCs now react when they take damage.
NPC characters can now go to sleep at night.
NPC movement is now smoother on client players.
Controller
Controller navigation remade on main menu.
Controller navigation improved in in-game menus.

Fixed gas mask hud not disappearing when respawning.

Easter Update 0.83
Yesterday we released an easter update to the public, which includes a new enemy type, sewer, fixes and world improvements.
Sewer
Added a new underground sewer, which can be accessed by a manhole.
The Sewer is a dark place, which is populated by the new enemy type ghoul.
Enemies
Added a new enemy type: a Ghoul. Ghouls can easily be dodged with sneaking. If they catch you they will inflict large amounts of damage and they are tough to kill.
They can only be found in the new sewer.
Improved enemy navigation & detection logic.
World
Added bus and new vehicles to streets.
Added a new cityblock.
Controller
The Game can now be played with a controller as all in-game menus like inventory and etc. can be used with a controller.
Added aiming from left trigger with controller.
Game now detects if you have a controller plugged in when launching game and asks if you want to use it.
Weapons
Added new melee weapons: a kitchen knife and a baseball bat.
MISC
Client players optimized.
Food and liquid bars now flash in the UI when they are running low.

Gas mask graphic is now on the new characters.

Beacon Patch 0.82
Today we bring a new patch to the game, which brings a requested feature to the game. Now you can mark your base with a beacon, so you know how to return to your base if you get lost in the city.
Beacon
Added a craftable beacon. The Beacon shows the direction to your base in compass, so you can easily find your way back to your base. a Player can only have one active beacon.
Sounds
Added jumping and landing sounds for player.
Added sounds for in-game menus.
World & Saving
Now all players on the server are saved. Their location and inventory are saved on the host for improved co-op and multiplayer experience.
We updated more houses to the new furniture system.
Misc
Fixed NPC base door from getting stuck.
Fixed internal errors from client players, when receiving certain multiplayer packages.
Added a number to indicate the amount of wounds player has in blood bar.
Inventory slots now show the correct amount of used slots in the UI.

Today we are released a new update to the game. It improves multiplayer systems and network code. Also other optimization and bug fixes have been made.

We created a new furniture system, which now saves all the furniture in the map file. It also is synchronized between server and clients more efficiently. New system allows the houses to have more realistic rooms. The System hasn't been applied to every house yet.

Sunlight & Color correction
Damnation City of Death now supports sunray effect to bring more life and light into the city.The applied color correction transforms the colors for making the city appear more natural.
Skills
Game now features a brand new skills system.
We are still working on some more skills to have them playable in the game.

SURVIVAL
Rations - Getting hungry and thirsty takes longer
Healthy drinks - Drink any liquid to return small amount of lost blood
Toughness - Receive less damage from hits
Regeneration - Lost blood regenerates faster

Breakfall - Fall higher without taking damage
Sneak - Enemies won’t hear you sneaking behind them
Surprise attack - Kill an enemy swiftly if it hasn’t noticed you

World
City now has more props and landmarks for greater variety. Enemies are now placed more closer to player for more action. World is now more optimized. Added new house floors for more variation.
